My introduction to Mega Man Legends was with the PS1 slim, with the first analog controller. As soon as I experienced the default controls I noped right off into the option menu to see if anything could be done. Fortunately there was. Also I found out if you press the button between the two analogs sticks you can use the left analog stick. Another fact people don't mention.

i went and played this game a couple years back to finnaly get what the game i was hella young for when i first played it a shot. like i had trouble with the first tron fight as a kid, well my recent playthrough was a first try. the game is rather well constructed in regardes to how you explore it, to the point i even remember a little bit of the layout of the ruins still. there are some side quests i apparintly didnt know exist so i guess ill look into that later...and also get around to playing 2

This series, these games. Man, they are hidden gems and are massively underrated. Similar to Klonoa, these need a remake and brought to the modern age. Give both Legends 1 and 2 a clean makeover, update and fine tune the controls (Ratchet and Clank would be a great gameplay example), and update that voice acting, and we are more than good! 😁👍

Having just watched this now for the first time I realized that you make a lot of the same jokes in this video as I do when I speedrun it. example "second Verse same as the first" talking about Lake Jyun. or Calling the Support Car the Winnebego. also I always refer to the Grenade Schematic chest as Grandpa's "vietnam war flashback chest"
One of my favorite games. I spent a lot of time on this one. There is a point in the game where if you return to the ship instead of doing whatever objective, megaman will walk in on Roll naked. You obviously don't see anything and she yells at him, he walks out and does an arm pump like its a victory or something. You can steal the money instead of returning it. If you do, your armor turns black. Err like really dark blue. Not like shadow megaman or something.

Wow, just started replaying this game a couple weeks ago. I had a blast with it as a kid and I think the art style aged pretty well. Controls are kind of clunky at times though.

Sabuuchi Also, use the duckstation emulator if you can, and enable pgxp. It fixes the visuals, like line warping and texture warping, game looks really good. I can see you screen capture is using an older emu I think, with the white lines inbetween textures,warping, etc. It can be kinda hard to find. but its on github. Enable pgxp but disable depth buffer, causes issues. Ive never seen my favorite child good game look this good. Like its crystal clear.
Already fixed it up with another gpu plug in after recording for part 2 but ty for the heads up. Tried getting it running on actual hardware but older systems are a nightmare to finagle with. Until o get a ps3 for the psn ports, this what I got.
Rockman DASH, a series that takes place in the year of 81XX in a time where Dr. Right, Dr. Wiley and Sigma are long forgotten and a new Rockman ready to dig for treasure, steal your girl and wreck bad guys shit, oh and also save the world from a mass level extinction event Evangelion style.
megaman legends and the OG brave fencer musashi (not the horrendous remake) were amazing games of their time that were truly fucking fun adorable and really just were products of when games were good

Swaping the left/right direction buttons with the strafe buttons in the options makes all the difference with this game
