This movie was so BLOODY FUN! The actress of Abigail was insanely good and the movie was so funny. I has an absolute blast with it and cannot wait to watch it again. Going to be apart of my halloween viewing for years to come for sure.

This movie was a blast. A few flat performances and a slightly bloated script but when it was fun, it was really fun.
Excited to see what you think of Monkey Man and Civil War

The movie honestly lost me in the climax. I thoroughly enjoyed the first 70%, but the twist with Lambert was predictable, and the whole climactic fight just felt like CW material. Sammy becoming a vampire, then getting taken off the board in an instant really made Abigail and the whole concept of vampires in this universe much less threatening, knowing how little of a threat they apparently pose. It's such a shame too as the movie had so much going for it, as you mentioned, but it just feels like a more played out, less grounded Ready Or Not. The effects, setting and cast were all so strong, especially in that first half. I told my friend this during the screening, but when I inevitably rewatch it, stopping the movie when they trap her in the elevator and pretend that's how it ends, would result in a more narratively cohesive film, at least in my opinion.
