It's sad to me how many people hate this girl... She was so young and reckless and misguided, so who can honestly blame HER for his death when he OD'ed after she was already dead, possibly by his hand? I think this interview is sort of sweet, she's trying to keep him awake for an interview, looking after him. She seems to me to be the more coherent, aware one of the two while he's just out of his mind on drugs, stoned. And honestly people, its not her fault she had a funny accent. Really now.
I'm reading the book "And I don't want to live this life" ("Inte som andra döttrar" in Sweden), and it's very touching to see and hear Nancy speak. She had not a easy life.
Mfried666 - I've been a heroin addict for quite some years and this is exactly what grade A heroin does to a person. You nod off and are in and out of it quite like an alternate reality where you come to and aren't quite sure what's been happening. This is exactly how he is acting and for someone to dispute that, they have obviously never used the drug.
He wore a swastika for shock value. Nazi Punk is something that Sid hated, he said that Nazi Punks had no place in music. But yeah. Shock value, and that's it.
No one used the term "nazi punk' until that dead kennedys song.............there is no such thing as a nazi punk...........although the closest thing strangely enough would be ANTIFA doing the govt bidding and not getting arrested.........
Something tells me, he'd die first if not for that murder (the drug dealer did it, Sid was knocked out at the time most likely). He was already a junky before he found her.
I know people debate it, but I think Chloe Webb and Gary Oldman really did a good job playing Sid and Nancy in the movie version. Watching the real Sid and Nancy really makes that clear to me.
The only thing I got to say is that this is now part of music history. Nothing is made to ake everyone happy. People adore Sid and nancy because of their rebeliiousness as people not conforming to rules, and other's hate because they abused drugs. I prsonally don't do drugs but am a rebel at heart and just admire the rebelliosness of the youth of the past. And NO we don't have to be fucked UP to make statements.
I think I read somewhere that one of Sid's friends hated Nancy because she was extremely unlikable and everyone could see through her because she just wanted to sleep with a sex pistol initially. People started asking why Sid bothered with her but the friend said that she always saw it like sid was the kid and nancy was the mom, giving him affection he never got. You can really see that here. R.I.P. S and N
Although she was on drugs as well, she did try to encourage Sid to continue with his career, even tried to get him some gigs that he most likely never turned up to. He was letting his life fall apart, and she was dependant on him to get it sorted, sadly it didn't work out for either of them.
Hearing the real Nancy Spungen makes me realize what an incredible job Chloe Webb did in portraying her. The similarities in their voices are unbelievable.
Sid has something attractive..I didn't like those guys before! But it's his attitude...he does whatever he wants,he dies whenever he wants and he lives as long as he wants!I like the fact that he is so out of this world..he is special...LOVE YOU SID
sid was a legend from a legendary band. he stood against conformorty and the system plus he was famous. how many rock legends can honestly say they havent done drugs
You're right about the poppers!! Moreover if you'd like to look at it again (particularly at Nancy Spungen), you'll see that the video was cut just after he did them. We'll never know what was said or did....
I think that that interview is right after their last concert in San Francisco. So may be Nancy is talking about it at the begining, Sid being high and Johny like whatever... Even though Sid sucked at playing base, he's more notorious an remembered that any of the Pistols, Sid is an icon among the rock, punk and other worlds. And yeah, Sid was constantly unplugged. Still he had a lot of fun!
Thank you. They each made up their own minds to do the drugs they did and do the things they did. They may have brought out the worst in each other, but they also really loved each other. Who's to say what's right or not. They were adults. Well kinda.
I'm reading a book about Nancy in school, and this is really hard to understand, that it really happened.. They really were together and hit the bottom.. It's really sad..
For some reason it always bothers me when people talk shit about nancy....for fucks sake they where just 20 and 21,they where just kids!....they never grew up....sad story really
Where can you find the whole interview... I want to get it.. and see the whole interview in it's entirey.. shoot... yeah I heard about that poster crazy
i wish people would stop hating on nancy in this specific interview she was only trying to keep him awake so he give a proper interview she was only trying to help sure they might of ruin each others lives but in this interview to be specific she was only trying to help
Well Sid Vicious was introduced to heroin by Nancy, but Nancy did give Sid his creative ambitions. Courtney however wanted Kurt Cobain to become more commercial and introduced him to heroin on top of it. Yoko Ono was just the woman inn the middle of the fab four, distracting Lennon from music. That's why everybody hates her.
I think you´re are really right. Yesterday I saw Sid and Nancy film and now I can better imagine these times and their relationship. He was totally manipulated!!!
This is always a really hard interview to watch becuase Sid Vicious is basically dying in front of our eyes and all because that waste of oxygen Spungen saw fit to supply him with the stuff that ultimately lead to his most untimely demise. Sid was a true punk, not in the musical sense but in a purely visual sense. John Lydon's breaking down during the interview on Filth and the Fury is evident of the fact that he had a bond with Lydon and an unhealthy obsession with Nancy. Sid was a tragedy. RIP
She may not have cared much for the band or herself but she truly cared for Sid :(
It's sad to me how many people hate this girl...

before courtney, there was nancy
That was cute.
"Do you want me to make you a cup of coffee?"
"Where's my scotch...could you?"
I'm reading the book "And I don't want to live this life" ("Inte som andra döttrar" in Sweden), and it's very touching to see and hear Nancy speak. She had not a easy life.
i’m in the middle of reading this book now and wanted to hear her speak

who else loves the irony of nancy saying "dressing awful" next to a man wearing a swastika shirt?
lol yeah but during live shows Sid looked cool as hell
I love the way she says 'quarfee' for 'coffee'. I always like to hear that Brooklyn kind of sound (and yes, I'm aware she was from Philadelphia).
Now I realize that Courtney Love wanted to sound and be like Nancy Spungen.
she even tried to have the part in the Sid and Nancy movie.
poor sid look at him he just couldn't talk under all the heroin
Thanks for having this on...Sid & Nancy should not be forgotten! They were such a mess.
Thanx for posting this interview. Didn´t had the chance to see it "back in those days". I´m only 38 years old...
sid can u wake up please.. we giving an interview.... ah ah ah bless
This video makes me sad, the people who knew Sid described him as a funny and goofy kid but in this he is so gone
I love this! True love Sid & Nancy forever
crazy.
good vid!
He wore a swastika for shock value.

ivve read this whole interview. this is only a small portion of it. it gets really funny
I know people debate it, but I think Chloe Webb and Gary Oldman really did a good job playing Sid and Nancy in the movie version. Watching the real Sid and Nancy really makes that clear to me.
hahahaha i love the Swastika t-shirt. R.I.P Sid Vicious. Sad that such a quite sensitive boy got hooked on Skag but such is life.
The only thing I got to say is that this is now part of music history. Nothing is made to ake everyone happy. Couldn't have said it better myself.
Bravo!!!!
I watched it today!

sounds like shes trying to put on an english accent
same as madonna when she was married to guy ritchie!
Lol! What a legendary fucking bass player.
Although she was on drugs as well, she did try to encourage Sid to continue with his career, even tried to get him some gigs that he most likely never turned up to. He was letting his life fall apart, and she was dependant on him to get it sorted, sadly it didn't work out for either of them.

this video is so bad ass. its like the best example of a real rock star life
Well put.
sid is the fucking man, MY WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
Young kids acting like an elderly couple with Alzheimer's...sad, sad story.
Sad interview...
lol i love them!
JEEZ!! Watching this interview that i finally notice how GREAT were Chloe Webb doing her part...
Ritchie Blackmore and Ian Anderson.
he stood for nothing, he was fucked up and exploited for his image and youth, he had no idea what he was doing.
You're right about the poppers!! Moreover if you'd like to look at it again (particularly at Nancy Spungen), you'll see that the video was cut just after he did them. We'll never know what was said or did....
Uhhhh.
The reason Sid said so little was because he was so completely fucked up during the interview.
Hence this being called the heroin interview?
damn. he cant even speak
Poor Sid man, painful watching this, like he's under a witches spell!
im in love with sid fucking vicious.
hes wonderful !
omg !
Cloe Webb plays her so well in Sid & Nancy. The voice is nigh on PERFECT
"what are you lookin' for?"
it sounds like he says 'cocaine'.. He could sure use some at that point, that'll wake him up
I think that that interview is right after their last concert in San Francisco. So may be Nancy is talking about it at the begining, Sid being high and Johny like whatever...

Smack, u gotta love it lol
this guy is my hero!
Thank you. They each made up their own minds to do the drugs they did and do the things they did. They may have brought out the worst in each other, but they also really loved each other. Who's to say what's right or not. They were adults. Well kinda.
Sid Vicious is...Sid Vicious.Nothing more, nothing less.
I'm reading a book about Nancy in school, and this is really hard to understand, that it really happened.. They really were together and hit the bottom.. It's really sad..
oh man... you gotta love 'em
She was like that. I knew the lover of her brother David, and believe me, that family was messed up. Poor Nancy. Didn't have a chance. RIP
RIP Sid, love ya :[
Where can I see the whole interview?
For some reason it always bothers me when people talk shit about nancy....for fucks sake they where just 20 and 21,they where just kids!....they never grew up....sad story really
ジョニーのことめちゃくちゃ言ってるの良い
hes so cute wen hes fallin asleep!! XD

Where can you find the whole interview... I want to get it.. and see the whole interview in it's entirey.. shoot... yeah I heard about that poster crazy
Well that enlightens things up ... :D
Sid was really shinin out , ha ha lol
Did you read that story out of a biography? What is is called
Whoa that's a interview.
This is probably the first time that I've heard her talk. The actress that was portraying her in Sid and Nancy sounded better.
i wish people would stop hating on nancy in this specific interview she was only trying to keep him awake so he give a proper interview she was only trying to help sure they might of ruin each others lives but in this interview to be specific she was only trying to help
I love how she says "Shining out!"
Amen to that!
sid vicious is the man.

Sad. So very Sad.
Junkies are junkies. Fame or no fame.
Sad but inevitable.
OMG!!!!!!!!
He embodied what some people thought was punk, thats it!
when she asks him if he wants a coffee listen closely and it sounds like hes quietly asking her for a scotch .
Right. She met Sid in NY.
McLaren was the one who really encouraged Sid coming into the band coz he liked his look and attitude and he pushed Sid to what he became.
I wish there was more footage of them.
sid was a punk rock king nancy was a broken queen
God bless Sid and Nancy!
sid king...
LOL Nancy's an American bird but trying to talk Brit. You can hear both accents "shoiynen out".
SID LIVES!!!
"Should we kiss for you?" There's so much said in that question, it's crazy.
Sid Vicious was not an emo at all , he was a true punk .
I was searching fir psycho sid vicious . Found this !
nancy's voice was like a man gargling nails.
Chloe Webb nailed the portrayal of Nancy in my opinion - even the mixed up accent.
Nancy appears more lucid...Sid continually falls asleep...
I think you´re are really right. Yesterday I saw Sid and Nancy film and now I can better imagine these times and their relationship. He was totally manipulated!!!
@ForeverDelayed1
Bang on, my man!
Well, THAT wasn't depressing!
To get just that reaction. He wore it to piss people off, and piss people off he did.
This is always a really hard interview to watch becuase Sid Vicious is basically dying in front of our eyes and all because that waste of oxygen Spungen saw fit to supply him with the stuff that ultimately lead to his most untimely demise.
