  • An incredible comeback from Ireland's Anne Gilshinan, a previous guest. Pretty much off with injury since Tampere. First W60 in history under 5.00. New audio podcast episode soon with her coach, Tony O'Brien.

4:59 I believe the new WR set by Anne here. Great running form and stride.

Would have been nice if something was said, and if we saw the actual time/clock. But, BRAVA for the winner...and all of the ladies for a great job.

Second finisher was amazing let alone the winner. The film maker should have shown the finish time on the clock then panned back for the silver ( I hope they got medals) I think it was 4. 59.some thing.

It was recorded by World Masters in Sweden. Yes, they should have panned back. It was 4.59.45. First W60 sub 5 in history.

Here's my latest audio episode with Anne and her coach. Great insight into the race, her training & mindset.

She looks like a teenager, running with that springy stride. I'm sure she could have gone much faster if she hadn't had an injury earlier and had been pushed by the competition.

There are 2 other amazing W60s: Clare Elms (GB) and Sue McDonald (US). It will be great to see them race sometime.
