How Fast can you Beat the Greek Missions in Age of Mythology

- Age of Mythology speedrunning is fun but hard to get into as there's so many missions and different strategies you need to use for each one. Here i've broken down the current strategies for missions 1-10 from the Fall of the Trident campaign (the greek missions) on titan difficulty. Egyptian and Norse missions to follow soon.

I decided those other Greek missions will fit into the other videos! Basically 1-10, 11-20, 21-32
I never understood we destroy Trojan gates first(and sack the town off screen) and then build a wooden horse to get into once more and destroy the town once more.
oh man, i thought there would be more of this speed running guides, if it wasn't for this i'd be stuck in a couple of missions, had a hard time trying to do revelations and i managed to do just enough rope after a few tries in the short way, amazing video!

I think for the "Stranger" mission you can try to put your heroes in individual control groups and move them one by one, It is more micro intensive, but often the bad pathfinding come from a move command with a group of units.
A few small notes/optimizations here for anyone looking to try this out.
For Consequences, it's most optimal to bodyblock Kamos with your villagers while the toxotes take him down. You can also train Atalanta to help kill Kamos.
for More Bandits, I like to send Arkantos ahead to Bolt the last Wadjet, while using Ajax's ability to throw the axemen out of aggro distance. If you hit them with the ability and then immediately send Ajax ahead you can pretty consistently de-aggro them.
18:41 you don't need to destroy those buildings to win the scenario. I like to path down below them while trying to bait away and units using Ajax.
19:23 I really like sending 1-2 centaurs ahead here to bait all of the units off to the left side so they A: don't kill your units and B: don't get in the way of pathfinding. This also sometimes baits the units on the cliff above making it a lot easier to break through to the Migdol stronghold.
30:25 I use lightning storm a bit later to break the fence 💀

Arkantos special micro in mission 6 is actually useless because his boost only affect melee attacks.
It's likely a bug because the UI still shows boosted values.

Regarding 14:00 I'm like, 90% sure that that does nothing. Looking at several vods of this level including WR, as well as testing it myself, any time it *looks* like you got a bunch of resources, it's cause your villagers dropped off wood. If anything, this loses you resources since in my experience you sometimes get 49 back instead of 50 when deleting. I don't know where this myth came from, but if I'm wrong I'd love to know more.
It feels like you get more but you could be right. Would be a good test to do without any villagers in wood
with scratching the surface - would it not be quicker to use transport ships? then you dont have to waste time with their walls. Since only the docks are the target
It’s definitely worth a try!
I would be surprised if it was faster- there are a lot of enemy boats on that mission that could sink you, and building your own dock or navy beyond your (IIRC) 1 or 2 starting transport ships just seems too slow.
@@parkerdixon-word6295 Go to the right hand side to avoid the boats that spawn in. but they dont spawn until you build the TC. So use the starting forces to get the right hand one and use the reinforcements to help get the 2nd docks
