  • I decided to make this purchase after a long consideration. I was a bit skeptical because this moves up and down with the windscreen and I was worried it would annoy me. It does move, but it does not affect the way I will use it. So, I am very happy with my purchase. I am not affiliated with Evotech and purchased this with my own money, no discounts. Just my honest opinion. It is very well made, precision and looks very, very professional. Installation was a breeze once I figured out the best method of getting that first screw started.

    Great video. I just got my 1200 desert Edition and love the bike. I went with the Bumot Defender EVO Panniers from ADV Motorrad and love them. I also installed a Puig touring windshield since the stock windshield was too short for me. Keep up the good work on your videos. John

      Thank you! That is awesome! Congratulations on the new Tiger!! I love that bike. Those panniers look great by the way! I've considered a different windscreen but the stock one seems to be working good for me. You must be very tall, I'm 6'1" and have no issues.

    Slick how the mount integrated so it moves with the windshield.
    Pro tip for when challenged with stacking clumsy components in vertical plane. Create guide pins by cutting heads of long screws. Hand thread the pins in place, stack components then insert correct fasteners into a couple of the places. Remove the guides and insert remaining fasteners. Torque all to correct value, viola!

    Is the Tiger 1200 a good commute bike ? Does it feel light through traffic ?? Kaid of daily ride ......

    • @Ron_C
      @Ron_C  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is definitely a heavy bike. If you are talking about bumper to bumper, stop and go traffic....I don't think I'd want this bike for that. It's expensive and designed as a touring/adventure bike. But if you are talking mild traffic and have a decent commute....why not, I found that it performs well in the rain...see my video where I rode it through the remnants of a tropical storm.

      @Ron_C  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm happy with it. It's really well built. The only gripe I have, a minor one, is that they could've provided longer screws. The original ones work, but a few more threads would've made the install easier and provided a little more confidence that there were enough threads in the well nut.

      The Tiger 900 version of this evotech mount, instaled on my 900 Rally Pro shakes like hell on gravel roads, vibrates heavy @ 3000 RPM .
      As the whole mount is conected to the windscreen, it shakes and vibrates along with the windschreen

    After owning my Triumph Tiger 900 for 8 months now and after trying out so many things, there remains to be a BIG compromise to me. There seems to be no decent way to mount a Garmin or Tom Tom GPS on eye level position.
    I tried mounting on handlebars....no thank you (to dangerous to look down all the time)
    I tried this Evotech mount...no thank you( the screen vibration makes it totaly unreadable).
    I think the mounting spots used by evotech are not the way to go. TEST ? ....Start your engine and feel the difference with your fingers around 2500 RPM, comparing on a mid handlebar spot and a top windscreen spot. There's the problem with the tiger 900
    Please, if anyone has a solution, send it, post it, comment it, suggest it
