I've just started getting into trading but I've also gotten into MvM as well. I've gotten a few things out of it and sold a professional killstreak kit for 4 keys and some ref. I'm enjoying myself so far and while MvM isn't a pure way of gaining profit I'm mainly doing it for fun and I think that's what matters. Thanks for the amazing video by the way!

@@Pythonian7 if more people were buying keys the price in metal would go up. it could be new players getting into low tier trading (e.g. buying keys and then selling them for metal to trade with), but I'm not really sure. When the key goes down it's mostly random.
Do keep in mind for low tier trading some bots are faulty so make sure when you see a bot that’s selling more than your buying before you buy the hat check if the bot is active

Speaking as of April 2023, low tier trading is still reliable, I have managed to make about 2 keys in the last week. Don't give up guys, it is worth you while!

Don't even really want unusuals (for now I should say). Just weapons and cosmetics of any rarity that I personally like. Really anything else other than random ones from crates. It's hard to think about just buying pixels for real money though. Might just stick to a couple hats and some stranges of my favourite weapons. Though I will make sure to apply this knowledge to help with just keep-buying.

I felt really accomplished and all thanks to you. However, i cashed out because of the crate depression and i think i shouldn't have done that. TheVirtualEconomist I bought a powerjack killstreak kit for about 6 ref off tradeit.gg, and sold the killstreak powerjack for 9.77 ref on backpack.tf. So technically 3.77 profit. I also tried the scrap.tf method and made like 2 ref. Again I just want to thank you, I was stuck trying to make profit on low tier trading and didn’t want to invest the money on unusual trading.This finally got me some profit!
Just started trading 2 days ago. Best tip: If if you have a couple of hats, taunts or crates you never opened check their price out on backpack.tf and sell them. You'll make much more profit selling early on instead of buying. In 2 days I learned that you should only buy in mid tier trading, where you have a couple of keys and refs to enjoy what you want. Ask the other trader what they would offer for you instead of asking what you would want, they could give you better than expected, and that is free profit. Also, scrap.tf is an awesome tool if you are mainly a seller like me. Also, never unbox crates, keep your keys, they are worth alot more than poeple think and can you could buy an unusual with a couple of keys instead of just wasting them on unboxing, it's a lot less profitable to unbox, as you rely on pure luck, like mvm tours.
My take on the issues of strategies , all to do is to get acquainted with how the market operates , then follow up on a certifies trader to coach and train you on the basics , then you can be able to take decisive market decisions , learn from your little mistakes and become a better trader afterwards ... this is what i learnt from Mrs Bethany nehra , she coached and trained me , now i make go trade decisions as well as major profits from my trades . that's what you get when you deal with a certified professional ... Me too, but as I'm jobless, I jumped at it during the weekend and converted 4 keys into 8 keys. I haven't slept at all... But neither did I sleep writing all these cover letters that got denied.
i like to do high tier strange trading, because if you take a low tier strange item, like a strange bot killer knife, get about 1k kills, then you can generally trade it for about one strange kunai, and work your way up, then cash out for real money and start over with more low tier knifes, i can’t say much more because i don’t want to ruin my business. but it does take patience because you do need to level the stranges.
Heres my personal tip for beginners now just as a disclaimer I'm not a professional trader I'm still quite new but my info I find quite useful for fresh beginners like me 1 just don't bother trading for like 1 or 2 years build up your inventory,hats,ref,metals,keys etc so that way you have a decent start 2 don't sell or delete crates,warpaint crates or mvm robo parts and that I'll explain 3 when your ready go onto a trade server and try find someone who will buy your crates,warpaint cases and robo parts for metals or hats possibly even keys and this is how you will get a head start into it now your not gonna get much from selling off the crates but if you've been saving up on alot of crates from drops that valve gave you the you should be able to at least get about 8-20 ref if you have enough ( Also save up on tf2 and other game trading cards as some people will pay you ref for those aswell ) This is quite basic i know but I personally succeeded with this it helped me begin my trading career without having to go through copious amounts of crafting with dupe weapons as god that is just a painful process

I used to buy vintage weapons and pyrovision goggles years ago on tf2outpost for metal, then sold them on the steam community market for a little bit of profit, not much but it was enough to buy me some steam games besides keys. Unfortunately, prices have changed and I can't really do this anymore. I still remember getting 50 vintage backburners in a trade, it was like a dream come true LOL

I quit when it was at 22 ref lol. I had only 4 keys and thought I had my share of trading in tf2. I went back to trading this weekend and made 4 keys more, unbelievable!
I really dont think trading in Tf2 is viable this days, you have to grind a lot in order to start seeing some profit, and well the economy is broken, just a tip invest in real life. I swear it's actually easier and can get you real life profit. This games economy is dead for good, and if you actually want to start well good luck againts the massive monopolies in there

@@hatem4906 it will be difficult. Better sell the items for pure and buy other things for less than the bots are offering. That's sunken cost, it's better to reinvest and try to recover.

i like to do high tier strange trading, because if you take a low tier strange item, like a strange bot killer knife, get about 1k kills, then you can generally trade it for about one strange kunai, and work your way up, then cash out for real money and start over with more low tier knifes, i can’t say much more because i don’t want to ruin my business. but it does take patience because you do need to level the stranges.

Heres my personal tip for beginners now just as a disclaimer I'm not a professional trader I'm still quite new but my info I find quite useful for fresh beginners like me
1 just don't bother trading for like 1 or 2 years build up your inventory,hats,ref,metals,keys etc so that way you have a decent start
2 don't sell or delete crates,warpaint crates or mvm robo parts and that I'll explain
3 when your ready go onto a trade server and try find someone who will buy your crates,warpaint cases and robo parts for metals or hats possibly even keys and this is how you will get a head start into it now your not gonna get much from selling off the crates but if you've been saving up on alot of crates from drops that valve gave you the you should be able to at least get about 8-20 ref if you have enough ( Also save up on tf2 and other game trading cards as some people will pay you ref for those aswell )
This is quite basic i know but I personally succeeded with this it helped me begin my trading career without having to go through copious amounts of crafting with dupe weapons as god that is just a painful process

I used to buy vintage weapons and pyrovision goggles years ago on tf2outpost for metal, then sold them on the steam community market for a little bit of profit, not much but it was enough to buy me some steam games besides keys. Unfortunately, prices have changed and I can't really do this anymore. I still remember getting 50 vintage backburners in a trade, it was like a dream come true LOL

man I stopped playing TF2 when keys were like 17-20 ref. I checked backpack.tf and was so shocked when i saw how much thats gone up
I quit when it was at 22 ref lol. I had only 4 keys and thought I had my share of trading in tf2. I went back to trading this weekend and made 4 keys more, unbelievable!

I really dont think trading in Tf2 is viable this days, you have to grind a lot in order to start seeing some profit, and well the economy is broken, just a tip invest in real life. I swear it's actually easier and can get you real life profit. This games economy is dead for good, and if you actually want to start well good luck againts the massive monopolies in there

@@hatem4906 it will be difficult. Better sell the items for pure and buy other things for less than the bots are offering. That's sunken cost, it's better to reinvest and try to recover.
