Believe it or not people work like this to their 70s and even outlive the inactive first world population. Come to Africa and see. My Great grandparents lived to their late 90s working in the village and all died still able to walk. None of this wheelchair and incontinence business.

Indeed, this kind of structure is known as a rocket mass heater, similar to a rocket stove. It's also very similar to the old Roman hypocaust, which also used a heating-from-below type structure. Hmm, I wonder if a hypocaust can be improved by preheating the chimney tubes?

Omg, this stuff is so relaxing to watch! I guess he figured out that he didn’t get clean in his slide pool? This is more a heated bath. The thing to fix would be make the chimney higher and the vent a little smaller to keep the fire going better/longer and not being so smoked out when you’re trying to relax. Maybe he could narrate a tiny bit or tell us how long between scenes?

I love this design except for the vent pointed over the pool... If you're swimming too long then the carbon monoxide will kill you and if not.... It'll knock you out and you would then drown.
Maybe rearrange the vent to go out through the sides?

to me that's a bigger concern than the chimney, that tub is a mosquitoes breeding tank.
Don't forget a drainage pump..
@overwatch splittail find a pipe and figure out a way to install it before building this.. if you find a wine cork or something like that you can use it to keep the water in and then let it out when it's dirty.. that would be a waste of time in a survival situation like this..I think he also made the tub to small also.. not a lot of swimming space.
@overwatch splittail It depends if you are gonna squat in a location for a long time i guess.. if you are going to keep traveling then I'd say this isn't something you'd even want to do. also is it even possible to get all of these resources to do this in the wilderness?
Where does he get so many stones? Where do stones come from? Its weird to think about that, lol stones are so unnatural seeming cause they just are placed randomly around the world, I mean I can go out back into the forest here in upstate NY, and i will find so many stones all over with no trace of how they got there

This man is literally fulfilling my childhood dreams. I remember playing in my backyard and just collecting sticks and rocks to build huts and shit. I remember one time I tried to build a play house using the small tree and a bunch of branches that were lying around. I had to take it down and all my other builds got destroyed, but I'm hoping that I'll eventually be able to make more things out of sticks and rocks soon
