Thank you for creating this video, Mercy. I am about to start this treatment. I remember when I was younger my cousin would take me to get my hair done, and the stylist would use Sabila conditioner (which is aloe vera in Spanish) and it make my hair manageable and healthy. Now, that I'm older, my hair is becoming brittle and has a lot of split ends. I'm looking forward to having healthy hair once again!

Make sure your coconut oil and olive oil aren't expired; otherwise, the bacteria could cause hair loss. Also, after you make your aloe vera oil, it will stay fresh for one week, if you refrigerate it.

The only reason why she’s a hair youtuber I trust it’s because she’s consistent with things e.g aloe Vera. Others have something new everyday e.g banana pudding, tomorrow it is tee tree, another day it is turmeric. Like be consistent with what is growing your hair.

Before using the aloe vera, try soak the leaf for a couple of hours or overnight after trimming off the prickly edges. The aloe latex is what makes it itch. Also, for those that injest the aloe vera gel you should definitely soak it overnight for not only is it bitter, one is likely to get an upset tummy if not properly rinsed off.
Your hair looks AMAZING by the way!

    Love you sis.
My aloe gel regimen is simple. I cut off a piece of aloe Vera, slice it in half to activate the gel. Take the leaf with the gel on it and apply it on damp hair. I start with the top then my edge. I extract the rest of the gel by taking a knife and cutting it several times to release the aloe gel and continue to apply it to my damp hair. I spray my hair with store bought aloe gel and keep it moving. My curls are super soft, smooth, full and hydrate. Oh, I don’t rinse it out. I wear truly wear it as hair gel.
However, the next day when I get in the shower. I do rinse it out. I either repeat the cycle or allow it to dry naturally. My curls are perfectly locked with a natural shine and hydrated.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

Thanks Mercy, I've been using Aloe VERA for 20 yrs. And since the pandemic I started using it with Olive oil and letting my hair grow. My hair always grew but I always kept it short about a inch long. So now my hair is to my shoulders. So I know how good it is . I appreciate you sharing. One Love 💕

I searched for an instructional video for a fresh aloe hair treatment and your wonderful presence captured my gaze (this video was also the second result…😅 however I have no recollection of what popped up first) I stopped getting my hair relaxed August 2020 however I haven’t dealt with my natural hair texture since 2000. All this to get to the point that your caption emotes significant empathy for you. When time allows I’ll check out your other content. I’m strangely confident that your decision to stop making videos was sound. The interwebs is an intensely, opinionated space that can only be detrimental at times to those who put themselves out there. That pisses me off. I thank you for your craft and I appreciate your drive and existence. I hope that you are well and doing what is best for you. Heck, I just realized I didn’t check the date of the video so I could be late. 😅 Nevertheless, I’ve always leaned towards a “better late than never” approach. Selah!

A small tip for the itching, is that after cutting the bottom end of the aloe stalk you should put the newly cut(exposed end) into some water for 5-10 minutes to release the poison from the aloe leaf(the water turns brown).

As a child my mom in d Island of Trinidad & Tobago used d aloe then part to open. She then apply coconut oil in my and my 2 sisters scalps. We have coconut trees growing wide all over d Island and in our back garden. So mom used to cut grate squeezed d milk cook it in a iron pot till it turn to oil . I loves d natural smell of it. The neighbours used to ask mom Rita did u hot comb press your daughters hair. She said no. She will also mix coconut oil with natural yellow hair grease she purchase from d Chinese store on Charlotte St. Pos. She really take time grooming brushing our hair with a soft brush.
