Upgrade from the torture for sure need to retain its value
I'm alllll for uprgadescape. Changes to BIS affect mains soooo much more than irons, and keeping upgradescape alive means old things retain value.
also makes any prior skilling done for it, tangible and rewarding in the long run.

@@LimpurtFan6969 bis does affect mains more. Mains have more access to said items. SO if that item is obtained in a poorly designed way, it affects more people.
@@LimpurtFan6969 BIS affects the entire game economy for mains, where if something is replaces as BIS and is tradeable, previous items loose tons of value. Lots of things are only valuable as BIS, and would tank without that. Upgradescape is why Bandos, arma, onyx, etc. are all still valuable.
Anyone who thinks upgrade scape is a bad thing lacks vision. As someone that came from rs3, YOU DO NOT WANT NEW BIS ITEMS that dont use the previous bis. It keeps everything relevant and creates a better pvm progression

I agree with top comment fully, "Upgrade Scape" is 10000x better then "Irrelevant Scape".
Because if we just simply replace BIS items and not allow them to be upgrades of older items, then we will feel like every new item just simply replaces older BIS items that took time to grind/earn enough GP for and thats going to leave a bad taste in our mouths each time we get an item that isnt just straight up the BIS item....
So Yes Im so down with atleast a fair amount of the items being introduced in the future, that are supposed to be replacing old BIS items be UPGRADED from previous BIS items :)
(this is going to be a hard truth once we come to ever having items near/exactly the power of Mega Rares, which Jagex stated already they never would introduce any more items of the power of Scythe/Tbow/Shadow but we shall see in time)

Both options for the Rancour are shit options but I'll take it being untradable and requiring a torture over it being tradeable and requiring 98 Crafting. (Even if I already have 99 crafting on my main) 98 Crafting is just a ridiculous req especially for Ironmen out there.

Upgrading older items keeps old items as needed. Which is nesscesary. Id argue there need more things that upgradable and usable. Or used for something.
I think many things and uses should be shrunk requerements to make and wear… if they want add more for higher tier stuff…

But it already requires a much higher Slayer level, and you're just attaching it to some jewellery, not making a new piece. Not saying you're wrong, but feels okay to me.
The crafting requirement for tort was set to high as if there wouldn’t ever be higher level items

He said if your an iron you need 93 crafting? Doesnt zenyte amulet need 98 crafting to make? Maybe he meant 93 magic to enchant? Its weird that the new amulet will have a lower crafting requirement than the torture?
I still want it to use a torture to upgrade to the new amulet but maybe change the requirement to craft a zenyte amulet to lower than the new amulet and have the new amulet at 98 crafting and torture at like 93?

98 + tort is too high, but 86 + tort is too low, 90 is enough
@ixsantoxi2673 not if they introduce higher level armor than has an effect on incoming damages. For example a mandatory-3 off the rng. So instead of rolling 1-60, it would only roll 1-57. Not saying it's a solution. Just shooting ideas.

Not really understanding how the crafting lvl to make this amulet is less than that of the torture, and then also needing the torture to make it? Seems backwards. Am I trippin? Why not push the crafting lvl to 95 or something
85+ skills still aren't rewarding enough. Deffo should require a torture and 98 crafting. Untradable too. Make it really hard, but really rewarding, it's how a basic game should function.
And it makes ironman gameplay much better

Item should be untradeable, crafted item should be tradeable. Crafting level of all jewelery should be lowered to match. Zenyte shouldn't all be different levels and above 86
Is it not just brain dead to have you use the torture that has the higher crafting req? I’d rather just have the drop trade able at that point
i think its moreso pointed at mains. because 93 crafting is a lot easily attended for most people. irons will need 98 crafting anyway. so it will be tradeable for mains
I'm against rare untradeable component drops. I think it just wastes people's time or denies them value by making them get more drops just to cash out getting an untradeable drop. I think it's dumb that mains can't cash out soulreaper axe pieces without getting all 4 parts themselves. So i think the amulet of rancor part should be tradeable. I also think it's dumb that vestiges are untradable when chromium ingots are tradeable and cheap so mains can easily cash out vestiges anyway? I don't understand how forcing mains to have the crafting req to make dt2 rings from vestiges to be able to sell them is significant. Do people who farm dt2 bosses for vestiges really struggle with getting 90 magic and 80 crafting to cash out the vestiges or something?

its a lot harder to bot content u need level 90s to cash out on. its important for things to be untradeable. it wont affect irons because they need 98 crafting for a zenyte anyway but it also makes it easier for mains to cash out without having 98 crafting. its win/win imo. also provides incentive to train skills and not just pvm. good for all round gaming experience 👍
@@kaa2893 the req for dt2 rings can be boosted so you dont need 90 stats, its 81 magic with a forgotten brew and 76 crafting with a mushroom pie. Those requirements are way too low to be considered a substantial obstacle in general, but we're talking about dt2 bosses being botted so those reqs are genuinely trivial for that case.
Also if the rancor part and amulet were tradeable and needed 98 crafting to attach mains still wouldn't need 98 crafting to cash out the rancor part either while still providing incentive to train crafting because you'd be able to take rancor parts and make them into amulets for profit if the margins are there. Not to mention, if people don't need to kill arraxor to get their hands on a rancor part that means even lvl 3 skillers can make amulets of rancor. In short, your incentive argument applies to way more people if the drop is tradeable.
@@bad1boy34 Jagex suggested that rancor will have crafting reqs within the 80’s which is really easily attained. I don’t think a level 3 skiller should be able to craft the bis melee amulet but that’s personal opinion. It should be a requirement that you have to kill the boss once to even be able to craft or equip it. so keep it untradeable. I think there should be a lock for end game content and not everything should be able to be bought via ge. Also the limited amount of rancor’s in game will make the price higher. look at other pieces of bis that are dirt cheap bc they are easily obtainable - fang, occult, even zenytes were around 10mil at one point this year. It’s better long term if bis items become untradeable until crafted atleast if not untradeable all together. If the only incentive for making rancor tradable is money making then that’s a damaging thought for the game. we want longevity and balance. Jagex already fucked up with zombie pirates and the price of bonds increasing is not a good look for the economy.
Content shouldn't be made with irons in mind. They chose to play an alternate playstyle to mains. When ironman came out they were mains purposely choosing to restrict themselves, regardless of what that limit entailed. So this amulet (and tons of other content) being developed with irons in mind is dumb.
Personally I think it should be a tradeable upgrade to the torcher. I love the idea of it being an upgrade to the torcher but hate untradeable drops that require a skill to make a tradeable item.
I enjoy PVM I hate skilling that's why I play a main not an iron man my skills are what they are because i needed those skills for some quest or item unlock. Except WC I got that 99 before GE was added to OSRS cause magic logs were 2k ea back then

In a way I'm kinda opposed to "craft chain" items. Sure, it will greatly help preserve the value of a certain current-day endgame tier item...
...but craft chains will only keep its previous tiers out of the hands for anyone not capable (-yet) of people acquiring a previous tier.

Yeah i think zenytes and stuff should be brought down to maybe 80s crafting ish to make and keep the new amulet around 88-93 to save room for a potentially new amulet years from now. I like upgradescape if thats what were actually calling it but it needs to make sense, they say they cant lower or increase lvls to fit in one item but theyve done that a bunch of times
