If she wants to see photos of kids’ autopsies in a “scientific detached way” they make college classes where you can do exactly that. This is just gross
@@ron05aa I’d imagine so, in the same way you would have to give your consent for your body to be used for science at a body farm once you’re dead (which is ACTUALLY what people like Zav should be researching if they’re truly curious about what dead bodies look like 😖)
Additionally, in an educational setting, you're planning on doing something good for the world with that knowledge. Here, what benefit accrues to society? None. Its value lies exclusively in the viewer's experience, which is a decent working definition of entertainment.
The father of the child straight up said he purposely didn’t go to trial the day the body photos were shown, and now he has to worry when he goes on social media if someone has posted them. That’s insane…sending love to the family ❤
I watched the trial every single day. I remember that the father specifically didn’t attend in that ONE day. Shame on Zav Girl for doing this! OMG, poor Gannon and his poor family…violated AGAIN!

This isn’t up for debate in my eyes. I don’t care if it was public information. She profited off of a dead child and a family that was just starting to heal. Her “detached curiosity” to real life dead people is NOT an excuse or reason to do what she did. Unforgivable
This. I have a "morbid curiosity", I wanted to be a pathologist as a youth (before I realized I couldn't do cases with kids). I can't say I haven't looked up many morbid things in relation to cases that interest me ( i.e looked up positional asphyxiation photos when researching Kindrick Johnson) but I couldn't phantom doing such a thing. This case is over, this family is forever grieving, we have the details, it is not on us to profit from a families pain or this child's pain.
Also, there's already plenty of photos of dead humans online. Go look at the ones already out there if you just have to (but wtf). Don't add to the sh*t pile with dead children photos.

@@mandypdx apart from that, what Zav has done is on paper the same thing a sadistic child predator on the dark web would do: what she has done is effectively distributing CSAM.
I follow the true crime community. I don't buy her apology, it only came after the backlash she got, which included the prosocuter of the child's case. It isn't the first time this creator has been irresponsible imo, she spread rumour and speculation which impacted innocent people. She really does seem to lack empathy.
I agree. I followed her with the Chris Watts case but became fatigued at the amount of videos with wild speculation she put out and the behaviors encouraged within her community (also several others but they didn't put a child victim's autopsy photos behind a paywall). Stupidity is not an excuse.
I also used to follow her watching Watts case it was too many conspiracies with some of the true crime community, what she did imo was to make money. she said it on one of her statements that it cost her too much money & time uploading her videos. hopefully they can stop releasing any autopsy child & adult
During the Kylie Rodney case she signed off on Upchurch saying Kylie wasn’t even a real missing person and she didn’t even exist. Disgusting behavior she has always had.
Most TC videos/podcasts won’t even describe the crimes done to a child further than saying they were murdered. Let alone SHOW pictures for MONEY!? Disgusting
I do wish certain channels would... like I don't want them to DESCRIBE the crimes but on some of these channels they censor so much that I end up having no idea what the crime could possibly have been. What's the point of even making a video if it's just like "John Smith went to the ____ house, broke the door open, raised a ____ and he ___ and ____ and _____ and _____ the _____ and then he went upstairs and ____ to the _____ and afterwards he ____ from the _____" I mean I'm not exaggerated, one of the channels on here I stopped watching because she censored so much with no substitutions or metaphors that at the end of a 20 minute video I would still have no idea what on earth even happened, just that a guy was in jail for doing something. They don't need to go into details, but it's helpful at least when they'll be like "John Smith [SA flashes on screen] the victim" so it doesn't sound like John Smith went to jail for 50 years for walking into a house.

Let's be real, there's no reason a true crime TH-camr or their audience should have access to these photos. The ONLY reason is morbid curiosity. No matter how you shake it, they are gawking at the corpse of an 11-year-old child. People seem to genuinely forget that these true crime cases are about very real people and are not just creepy stories to tell. The fact that it even crossed her mind to go buy those photos in the first place, let alone to then put them behind a pay wall makes me feel physically ill. And if what that lawyer said is true where they just 'forgot' to take those photos out, the fact that she would then think "mh, let's go put those on my patreon!" instead of thinking that was too private and she should make a report on that, is just as disgusting.
I think there's even good argument against showing the photos for stuff like the Jack the Ripper victims even though that happened long enough ago that nobody's really hurt by it anymore. I can't imagine being so disgusting as to think it's okay to show autopsy photos and act like it's some fun spook story about an actual murder that happened so recently that everybody related to it is still alive. She probably isn't getting threats but frankly if she is she deserves them and the consequences of her actions *should* drive her off the goddamn internet
It's one thing if you didn't actually do anything wrong, but when you DID and then use them as an excuse to deflect any and all criticism you're a coward and I don't feel sorry for you anymore. This goes double for if you just SAY you're getting threats and don't provide proof.
I watched the trial gavel to gavel. The autopsy photos were never shown on the court camera, only to the jury and anyone actually in the courtroom. And I’m glad. Sometimes autopsy photos can help understand how a crime happened if there’s debate about that... but not in this case. There was nothing they could add to the understanding of this concluded case. And even if there was, there are more empathic, less Tabloid ways to go about having that discussion. Anytime we walk the path of True Crime, we risk stepping on victims and their families. We must tread with utmost caution and concern.
Crime photos of kids are usually treated with a lot of dignity:( which is why you’ve never seen any crime scene photos from the library at Columbine. It’s a deeply private thing 😢 and she put it behind a Patreon wall to monetize it?! She’s a monster.
Not showing the autopsy photos to viewers outside of the courtroom is common practice. I've watched a lot of these court case proceedings through the lens of somebody who is going to be on the stand as an expert witness myself one day (pretty much watching for practical educational purposes). It's standard for when those autopsy photos are on display that the cameras are either focused on the expert witness taking the stand (the medical examiner) or if the photos are being exhibited near them and on a screen, that the cameras are focused above the judge's head... or somewhere else in the room. Here I thought it was sickening to read the numerous comments hating on the video for not showing the autopsy photos... usually, they are described by the medical examiner... but I guess for some people who view this as a commodity, it's not enough.
Well Patreon cancelled her account and banned her from the platform so she's effectively fucked herself. The moment she opens one of the alternatives, she'll be mass reported and banned there as well.

I went through a true crime phase, and the science and psychology of it is what interested me…but there is no way I’d be interested in, let alone pay for, photos such as these…particularly of a child. Her statement is pathetic.
Yess the science behind how they solve crimes is interesting not the crime itself . I find trials interesting because of all the experts that take the stand. In this particular case the defendant went way over the top to try to cover her actions. She used fake polygraph website, which I never knew existed and was even looking into facial surgery. Most trials are going without cameras now I think it's because of awful behavior like this. Not ever would I want to see something like that, you don't need that to understand a case. That's what the process are for. I feel so bad for the family to go through all that and than deal with what someone put on the internet.
They said they might not. It’s bringing back too much trauma. The father hasn’t even seen the photos but he has anxiety he might come across his son’s photos online one day. Someone should sue on their behalf..

There is another TH-camr, Natasha Cooper, who did the same thing and she is even less apologetic than ZavGirl. It's amazing everytime sociopaths out themselves.
I know exactly how this happened. They FOIDA'd and the person who received the FOIA wasn't aware of the law about the crime scene photos, didn't want to view the photos to see what was there or didn't have time to even look in the file and just sent it. Pure negligence. I work in IT and have had to deal with legal holds and FOIAs, sometimes the request is basically just "everything." Definitely a failure on the agency's side and hopefully this will force them to review their process. Her publishing them on Patreon is inexcusable and she's trash.
Yep, I worked at a place that fulfilled a lot of FOIA requests and we took them super seriously but definitely did not look at all the contents because it wasn’t necessary for those types of documents. It sounds like there was a law in place to prevent this but no procedure in place to actually follow the law.
@@a_potat Freedom of Information Act, a FOIA request is a basically legal subpoena for documents. The sender has to comply within a certain timeframe and sign off that the documents were sent and keep a record of having sent it.
@@a_potat In the US it's called the Freedom of Information Act. Basically certain information filed in criminal or civil cases anyone can request to have copies of such filings made available to them. It depends on each state how much information they are willing to release to the public at any given time. It's an effort by the state to be transparent & was mostly only used in investigative journalism. Nowadays anyone with a youtube account can pay a fee & have sensitive information they have no idea how to responsibly handle. All you need is the case number which is always public information. On the other hand, why should any information be withheld from the public? It's just IMO but these photos of a minor child victim should not have been allowed to be released via FOIA but because the clerk for the state department which houses such records was being inundated with requests from all kinds of randos looking to cash in. And in tneir haste to get these records out in a timely manner, else there will be complaints, these photos of the victim were accidentally included. The case file would be massive & there isn't proper time given for whatever reason to go through all the info being released to make sure they are not sending info that should be held and/or sealed. Florida is the state in question & is one of the states that tends to not withhold any information being requested by the public. That's why it was so easy for anyone to get their hands on the documents filed in this particular case. However, something needs to be changed if graphic photos of minor victims can be allowed to be sent in Florida to anyone who asks & pays a fee. This is outrageous as it further victimizes the actual victim & their families. And in no way was it necessary as the autopsy report will be released which documents & details the child's injuries. It doesn't ever need to happen again & I'm not absolvinng these youtubers for their actions but the real issue is how & why does someone not directly related to the minor child victim have these photos? This issue is not being addressed properly by the media because of course it would show how incompetent the state is involving matters as these. The state never wants to actually be accountable for things like this so of course there's "look over there" as a distraction. I hope I explained it in a way that's understandable & doesn't just come off as an angry rant. Someone needs to be fired over this & I'm willing to bet this didn't happen unfortunately.
Things like this are why I've over the years started being much more discerning with when and what true crime content I engage with. So much of it seems like it ends up exploiting the victims once again.
I mostly prefer to follow the channels where the person never shows their face, it seems with some of them there's just a couple guys who are hired narrators and not even actually part of the channel. I enjoy true crime content but so much of it is just so ethically gross. You have the "true crime and makeup channels" - like, cool, imagine your mother was brutally murdered and some bitch on youtube is monetizing the story while putting on the ugliest sparkly eyeshadow and looking as bored as someone could possibly look - then the mukbang true crime channels (EATING while talking about dead children??), and then... THIS channel, and then the ones who don't do anything especially heinous but that narrate the ACTUAL CRIMES with the kind of spooky voice you'd use to narrate a Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark story, and then the folks who make jokes?? People DIED. Make fun of the criminal's absurd excuse, but don't make a joke out of someone literally getting murdered unless the murder happened long enough ago that none of that person's friends or family are still alive. r/unresolvedmysteries is a good true crime place. It sucks if you want to listen instead of reading, but the write-ups are always detailed and not exploitative and gross, usually they don't include photos. When I was a paralegal, I remember one of the first cases I helped with was an infant death. The file and autopsy pictures bothered me for days afterward. It’s hard for me to believe that someone could approach this as “scientifically detached.”
I also find autopsy photos fascinating, but they are a.) a child’s photos b.) were illegal to send, let alone sell them and c.) the parents were vocal about their displeasure and yet they couldn't admit that they were slightly in the wrong until the major backlash. Them saying they are looking at it from a “detached and scientific” view gives of the vibe of a guy saying “I’m judging based on facts not emotion” to justify being totally un-empathetic and over all a jerk towards an objectively emotional situation.
I've seen this happen a lot in RL, when people put money above morals. Its pretty disgusting. EDIT Is she a sociopath? Does she not understand nobody cares about how she feels about this? What about the father? The lack of empathy. Wow.
I live where Gannon Stauch was discovered and I just wanted to let you know that the locals here continue to put up signs, flowers, teddy bears, etc. in his memory. It is a main roadway between the suburbs and the city and every time I pass it I think of him and I am sure so many others do as well. May he rest in peace.
Someone old and wise once said "People will do some strange thangs for some change." This is super deplorable and no amount of "apologizing" is going to make up for the fact that this batty lady decided to sell access to photos of that child.
So I never understood why tv shows would blur out the bodies of victims because it’s not like we aren’t going to get the gory details anyways. But then I watch a documentary about a boy who had horrific things done to him and they showed /everything/. From that day on, I was 100% pro blurring or diagram or re-enacting scenes. We already hear about what happened, we don’t need to see it. And her saying she wants to see the photos cause she can look at them in a “scientific way” makes me want to hurl
Let's not forget about the other 'true crime' channel that also sold Gannon's autopsy photos. True Crime with Natasha Cooper (who is also as problematic as Zav Girl is) has done the same thing. Both these women are vile and refuse to take any accountability for what they've done. I refuse to acknowledge Zav Girl's 'apology video' because it is clear that she's not the least bit sorry for what she's done. I hope that more TH-camrs continue talking about these two 'true crime' channels. Both Zav Girl and Natasha Cooper need to be held accountable. Both of them need to reassess their channels and their futures as true crime reporters. Both of them are as vile, toxic, and beyond redemption as the other.
Yeah if she was SO SORRY when myself and others posted about it she wouldn't have deleted our comments, she ONLY cared and was "sorry" when mainstream media picked it up. And now she is being torn to shreds they shouldn't be shared AT ALL, not even behind a paywall! She deserves to be banned from Patreon and I Pray to God people stop following her she does NOT deserve a platform!!!
@@ReinKayomithank God! It really drives me insane that she had to be told how insensitive that was, everyone is so desperate for social media fame that they don't take other peoples feeling into consideration and it's really sad that we have become so disconnected from human emotion that we don't even stop to think "are my actions gonna hurt someone" anymore.
Oh yeah, smart to put the photos that she says weren't new and were shown publicly, behind a paywall for more 'security'. They can either be public and you can find them in popular TH-cam videos, OR she had something people couldn't easily find and she had to 'protect' the distribution. Pick an excuse, not _all_ the excuses
True Crime on TH-cam is the perfect example of a 'gray area'. On one hand, there are true crime channels that present cases in a respectful way, educating people on the way investigations are conducted, informing them about signs to look out for regarding things like abuse, and entertaining people who simply have an interest in the macabre. Obviously they're making money from this content, but that's only because there's a significant demand for it, and if they're making it in a way that doesn't bring any further harm to the victims, I don't have a problem with it. On the other hand however, there are also true crime channels who's entire approach is to shock people by displaying the most graphic things possible, focusing on the most grizzly details, capitalizing on the brutality of the psychos who commit these crimes & blatantly exploiting the suffering of the victims to get views, clout, and money. Those are the channels I have a problem with. In my opinion, a lot of it boils down to intent. If you care about the cases & the people involved enough to make well-informed, thoroughly-researched videos, bringing awareness & entertaining without causing harm, then I'm all for it. But if you're only out to make as much money as possible, showcasing the worst moments of people's lives without a second thought being given to the possible repercussions or wellbeing of the people involved, making low-effort content with shoddy research & not caring about the story beyond it's potential to make you money, then you deserve every ounce of hate that comes your way when people call you out. Besically, if you have empathy & treat the people involved like PEOPLE, as opposed to story props, you're probably okay. Seems like common sense to me, but apparently, that's not the case for everyone. Admittedly, I may be biased because I enjoy true crime content myself, but I mostly just watch the criminal interrogation channels where they talk about techniques & psychology, because that's what interests me, as opposed to the channels that talk about the intricate details of how people were killed & things like that. Channels like Explore with Us, Just Interrogations, & Stranger Stories are the ones I watch, and I think they do a good job. That's my take as a member of the true crime community, for what it's worth.
My issue is when channels treat the victim like a story plot point in the killer’s crime. A person with dreams, hopes, ambitions, and people that love them had their life brutally cut short. Take some time to memorialize and pay respect to the victims- you can do far more research outside of just their first names (sometimes not even that) and the gruesome details about how they were brutalized. They’re forgetting that these are real people. No one wants their loved one’s autopsy photos being passed around like chips for 3 fucking dollars, simple empathy would tell you that. I also feel like heartless true crime content like this only leads to more copycats, because you’re sensationalizing the violence and forgetting the victim’s personhood.
Unpopular opinion probs, but that's kinda why I stopped watching Bailey as much. Idk, it felt like at first, it was quirky and relatable to watch, but since I tuned onto other channels like Danielle Kirsty, Eleanor O'Neal, Gabulosis, ThatChapter etc, it was eye opening to see the different styles of case covering and seeing a more serious approach. I mean, I don't mind a bit of humour at the expense of the villian, but when its kinda riddled throughout, it feels disingenuous. Im sure thats not the intention, but im sure it would be frustrating to watch as the victims family/friends
As someone who worked in forensic and has a medical background- having to deal with the murder of a child is never fun - and detachment is extremely difficult to maintain in these cases. Anyone profiting from these photos and using scientific curiosity and detachment as amelioration needs to take a long hard look at themselves. Beyond disgraceful.
Her apology still justifying her actions made me ill. I cannot believe how callous it is. As someone who worked with sensitive records in the past, if I received autopsy photos I didn’t request, I would have taken it back to the state to prevent such photos from being sent out to others.
I’ve been a journalist for about 9 years, and it’s still almost impossible to see anything like that in a “detached & scientific way”. Even with therapy, it stays with you and warps your view of the world. And, it’s a journalist’s responsibility (if we’re speaking strict ethics) to “shield” this from the public. She could at the very least had someone do a sketch/mock up if she wanted to explain it in so much detail without using the actual pictures BUT even then - she is not the expert and should not try to be. Sensationalism can actually trigger flight or fight - why would you want to do that to your audience? The best way to tell the story is with the mindset that the victim’s family will see it. If they’re not ok with it, you shouldn’t be either
As a future mortician, i can understand that curiosity, but then do that. Go to school and be curious. What a privlege to pay $400 !! For non consent of death of anyone let alone a child. Sick sick sick
I think we need to differentiate between 'True Crime' and 'gross morbid curiosity'. There are some channels out there that genuinely respect and come from the victim's perspective and focus on the survivors and their bravery or journey, the damage and healing --- then there's the ones who go 'omg isn't that like f'd up? *eats eggroll* oh yeah. 'n like... he did this and that. Messed. Uppp!!'. It's not gossip or tea. We shouldn't detach ourselves from the human aspect or obsess over 'the mind of a killer'. This callousness has bothered me forever in that genre. Autopsy photos under paywall is a new low.
I just don't get people like this. As part of my graduate degree I used samples from unnamed child patients with cancer for research only. We would get excited when a sample was good for the research but I would go home and cry knowing this unnamed child was likely passed or likely going to. I can't imagine then going "I'll show you pictures for money!" That's just... purposefully unidentified tubes let alone an autopsy!
In standard TH-cam true crime community fashion, this behavior is not uncommon unfortunately. I understand the fascination with criminal psychology, but that's not what this is. This is trauma p@rn plain and simple. Be careful and thoughtful with the TC youtubers you support and think critically of the way they discuss these cases. This situation is probably the worst of the community, but there are plenty of tc creators that approach cases in a very similar fashion and it's sickening.
Knowing what that evil witch did to poor Gannon, I can’t imagine anyone would even want to see the photos. People who did view them are either as twisted as Leticia or having some serious nightmares right now!!! R.I.P little man my prayers are with you and your family ❤
I'm from Canada & a few years ago a very sick clout chaser filmed himself unaliving kittens, posted it & then did it to a human. He's in jail, but point is he posted it on a site for like-minded ppl who enjoy that. This woman basically got paid by the most depraved to access the autopsy photos of a child, so I am outraged +++ at her!
she's flat out lying about these photos having been seen by the public before. this case was truly heartbreaking. i followed it from beginning to end as it was so close to my town and the murdered claimed to have dissociative identity disorder. i have D.I.D and we all mourned mostly for gavin but also for DID systems who ended up getting shit because of this trial.
The (subjectively) worse case than people paying into the patreon and seeing them - those already in the patreon checking their inbox unaware and seeing them involuntarily
I have heard of 1 other person who put the photos up. Natasha Cooper. Zac girl mentioned she only , let that sink in, ONLY MADE 150.00. Which means 50 people actually paid to see it before Patreon took the video down. I also did hear a live where the creator who said she couldn’t stand Zav Girl did say things that weren’t true. But none of that matters. Human Decency say’s do not post autopsy photos and charge for it. Not a good apology because it is full of excuses..
Side note. The sunshine law is also the reason for so many "Florida" headlines. Florida will say 'meth addict f* an alligator' while the same story elsewhere would read 'local resident charged with animal abuse"
We do have a culture of romanticising serial killers/murderers and listening to true crime stories; However, purposefully purchasing a autopsy photo of a child is so far beyond acceptable as a human being. Typical narcissist, deflecting, filler bustering and taking no real responsibility. Her eyes do look dead. Herself and anyone who paid to view need to be punished somehow. I feel so awful for the family and friends.
As a true crime follower, I have followed this case from day one. The absolute *last* thing I need for my education.. are those photos. Gannon was killed in a horrendous and painful way by a trusted adult.. to continue to betray him and his parents is unforgivable. What a disgusting excuse for a “creator”.
Absolutely sick. I spoke to Gannons mother Landon several times following his murder and that woman deserves a freaking break. This TH-camr was wrong in about 100 different ways, and my heart breaks for Landon, Al, and Laina. This little boy deserves to finally Rest In Peace and this family needs respect and privacy.
I watch a few tc creators ( Stephanie Harlowe, Kendall Rae. Annie Elise, Christina Randall) so I followed gannons case & Leticias trial. Such a horrendous murder. This woman is wrong for not following gannons father's wishes.
@@VeeAmericanEagle really? I don't sub to any of their Patreon. I know some will put crime scene photos on there bc TH-cam won't allow them but I don't feel it necessary for me to see that kind of stuff.
the fact she didn't pull the video right away shows she wants to make money off it. This "apology" is bs and she is going to just chill for a week or two till things "blow over" and she will come back and pretend like nothing happened. She is saying she wasn't selling the photos but her "hard work" but subject matter matters in this one. She was selling the photos/and audio of a child's autopsy. She knew those photos were not out. She put it under a paywall (after saying they were already out there for free) because she knew she would get money it had nothing about keeping them safe. If others had these photos out like she says then this would have blown up before. Those photos should not have been included in her file but she should have also known that it would be illegal to distribute them because that is her job.
The poor father having to relive this! To basically sell autopsy photos is absolutely so disgusting and heartless! She had a choice to show those photos or not, and she did. Shame on her. And the fact that she can look at them without feeling which she basically said is insane.
As a parent if anyone did this to my child I would not only get a lawsuit but I would have to get therapy. Poor parents are going through one of the most traumatic experiences in their life and like the dad said he can't go online. I hope she gets what she deserves.
As a society, we really need to renormalize minding our own business because it's crazy that she doesn't realize how invasive her actions were, there is no reason for her to get involved in such a tragic and emotional charged situation that was never her's to begin with.
Awful. Complete lack of empathy. The fact that she spent $400 to get the information (and photos) and then turned around and put it behind a paywall, which she advertised on her youtube videos, she had no interest in keeping things away from the public eye. She just wanted the charge the public eye.
I watched the trial and they didn’t show the photos. They specifically made it so you couldn’t see anything graphic so I have no idea what she’s talking about when she uses that as an excuse
This is so heartbreaking! As soon as hearing from the father, delete photos of this poor innocent child!!! Stop traumatizing the family of victims that are already dealing with so much trauma and sadness. Plus we learn it is extremely illegal! Stop charging money for the exploitation of a child that is traumatizing the family. Delete the photos and apologize!!!
Her explanation was complete bs. I have a degree in criminology and I remember having to look at real crime scene photos for classes. The family of the victim granted our university access for educational reasons. We studied an individual scene for several months and it wasn’t any easy task. I still remember it being difficult to keep looking at the images because this was a person with a life and it was taken from him. I told myself that I’m here to speak for the victim and help them get justice. That’s what got me to focus on the facts. Most true crime fans are merely interested in understanding the mind of a killer, not looking at the victim’s remains. Those that paid her for the images are obviously disturbed and sick individuals. Not true crime “fans”.
One thing I think is important to correct: The 3rd degree felony DOES NOT apply to Zav Girl, rather it would apply to the person at the state agency that included the autopsy photos in the file that was given to Zav Girl. It’s similar to how HIPAA works here in the U.S.
If she wants to see photos of kids’ autopsies in a “scientific detached way” they make college classes where you can do exactly that. This is just gross
Exactly. And like, don’t they need a contract of consent for that?
@@ron05aa I’d imagine so, in the same way you would have to give your consent for your body to be used for science at a body farm once you’re dead (which is ACTUALLY what people like Zav should be researching if they’re truly curious about what dead bodies look like 😖)
Additionally, in an educational setting, you're planning on doing something good for the world with that knowledge. Here, what benefit accrues to society? None. Its value lies exclusively in the viewer's experience, which is a decent working definition of entertainment.
who even wants to see that? unless it’s a kink who in their right mind would seek and pay for that
If it as about science, she wouldn’t have sold them. She’s not passionate about science, what an absurd and offensive lie.
It's like the nightmare of Bianca Devins all over again....... can we stop posting photos of murdered children, please? Jfc the poor families
@@sassynfree884this is my first time hearing about this case, but it sounds horrific. I can’t even put into words how badly I feel for his family in the first place, but now them having to worry about coming across those photos by accident? This is SO messed up! 😞
That is so horrific omg. This woman belongs in jail for this
@@katoe908 not really, and maybe people should just move on. She apologized and removed the content that was sent to her MISTAKENLY and she has apologized. Like the rest of us, she’s trying to make a living. We USED to give people 2nd chances. I unsubbed from her months ago because she reads comments silently while people wait, then she answers the comments without providing context and it’s too hard for me to sit and wait for HALF of a communication, so I unsubbed. It’s actually that easy🤷🏼♀️. Let’s not give HER the same treatment the actual murderer got, come onnnn.
This case is over, this family is forever grieving, we have the details, it is not on us to profit from a families pain or this child's pain.
to be honest all true crime channels profit from death .
Also, there's already plenty of photos of dead humans online. Go look at the ones already out there if you just have to (but wtf). Don't add to the sh*t pile with dead children photos.
@Donteatmossimsensitive I agree with you 100%
@@zebraskinyou mean phatom not phantom right? I typed phatom and autocorrect just swapped it so I assume that happened to you as well. Autocorrect can be dumb sometimes
I really, really, REALLY hope she faces legal action of this because her lack of accountability and empathy is infuriating.

Her top like comment is someone defending her already people say her tone they know she is just Colleen 2.0 no real appology
What apology? What she said was more offensive than genuine.
Most TC videos/podcasts won’t even describe the crimes done to a child further than saying they were murdered. Let alone SHOW pictures for MONEY!? Disgusting
1000%, most respectable true crime media doesn’t graphically describe *any* violent details unless it’s particularly relevant to the case
They don't need to go into details, but it's helpful at least when they'll be like "John Smith [SA flashes on screen] the victim" so it doesn't sound like John Smith went to jail for 50 years for walking into a house.

also can we mention the fact that the “other channels who put the pictures in their public youtube videos!” she mentions literally got the pictures from her. from her patreon. like she’s mentioning it as though it makes her look less bad bc all these other ppl did too when in fact they got the child’s autopsy pic from her filing for freedom of information act, accidentally receiving the autopsy photos, and her putting them on her patreon. they’re the exact same file and size. she’s the only one who accidentally had them included and was the first to make them publicly accessible for $3. they literally got them from her, so she’s bringing it up like it makes her look better when that’s her fault too. so gross.
I don't agree with this comment bc I am a true crime junkie here on TH-cam. & yes some censor names and such if the victim is alive. But details are shared on every major channel, even "respectful" ones like '10 to Life.'

“Why do you need the photos?” EXACTLY. Seeing the autopsy photos adds exactly nothing to anyone’s understanding of this case. The only reason they’re shown to a jury is because they’re there for determining facts of the case.
Right, you're no detective or f ind something new in these pictures that experts haven't been able to find.
@@teijaflink2226 Even so, the people who do the autopsy make note of any marks, wounds on that paper marking where on the body. That what should have been shown, not the body; that wouldnt help the case. Plus, not sure but if the person who did it is caught, what evidence are you even looking for?
Agreed. You can get all of the same info from the coroners report so why anyone would need the photos themselves to make a point is beyond me
@@kitty3999 the only reason they do this is to give the jury a better understanding and to help them comprehend the injurys. some people can look at the paper the coroner does and read the injurys but they wont really compreheand the injurys that well so they might show autopsy photos to help. also for those photos to be allowed into the trial they have to jump through tons of hoops and get concent from the parents. Precisely. If you *really* want the details, I’m fairly certain you can find autopsy reports online in a police database somewhere. You don’t need to see the actual photos of the dead body. I hope this poor kid’s family can find peace. 😔

They usually never are allowed to show autopsy and crime scene images.
@@OpalLeighau contraire, there are lots of crime scene photos from the columbine library, including Eric and Dylan's dead bodies.

It raises a red flag for a dangerous personality, too. She's sick in the head.
I think that's exactly what this is.
Well Patreon cancelled her account and banned her from the platform so she's effectively fucked herself.
The moment she opens one of the alternatives, she'll be mass reported and banned there as well.
People that wanted that video should take some time to analyse that need to see morbidity - humans aren't really introspective but we need to be
@@ch3rrikiss you know why they wanted access to those photos. It's not about seeing morbidity. It's far, far worse when they're signing up and paying for something they would have to dig deep into the darkweb for. Sickening shit.
It’s disgusting that anyone would consider this “content.” The trauma and damage done is undoubtedly severe, she lacks human empathy.
Yeah that’s true crime people for you. They make their money off of the pain of victims and their families it’s disgusting
It's egotistical greed and morbid curiosity going out of control - to her, people suffering with morbid interests were cash cows.
Every single stage of this video from the creator to it's context is an indictment to the depths of human greed and the paraphilias of those that demand this content - nasty all round
99% of the true crime youtubers lack any sort of empathy and compassion. They literally exploit the pain and suffering of real people for money. I mean, have you seen the one that discusses the bloodiest, most horrific murders while she does her makeup? Zero empathy.

I hope the family does file suit against her, because clearly she still doesn't feel what she's done is wrong! It's disgusting.
They said they might not. It’s bringing back too much trauma. The father hasn’t even seen the photos but he has anxiety he might come across his son’s photos online one day.

But this girl was so blinded by sensationalism and greed for money and attention, that she didn't think "oh maybe I should delete these", but decided to basically make a compilation video.
Edit: To her credit though, at least she didn't take out the ukulele!
Bingo. She better have deleted that stuff off her computer.. it’s technically cp. I wouldn’t be surprised if she has more of this stuff “ for science”.

Last thing the family needs is his autopsy being shared online for profit.
There is another TH-camr, Natasha Cooper, who did the same thing and she is even less apologetic than ZavGirl. It's amazing everytime sociopaths out themselves.
😳
She's still advertising it on TH-cam on her community tab I tried reporting it but it went no where. 🥺😲
Well said! The person who released these photos to a youtuber needs to be charged & held accountable as well.
Yep, I worked at a place that fulfilled a lot of FOIA requests and we took them super seriously but definitely did not look at all the contents because it wasn’t necessary for those types of documents. It sounds like there was a law in place to prevent this but no procedure in place to actually follow the law.
Sorry what's FOIA?
Yup. It’s why I just follow accounts that talk about older cases. Nothing new.
History repeated itself again.... i remember awhile back, a video of a girl's death went viral....
and her dad, Andy Parker, tried to remove the video off the internet.
He was not successful, so he had to make an NFT of his daughter's death to attempt to claim ownership...
I hate how the internet is forever.... I hope the pictures get taken down
jfc that's so disturbing
I can't even imagine having to do something like that.. that poor man!
It happened again recently with the photo of that Palestinian little girl’s body hung on a fence. I was researching her family’s story because I’d seen it briefly on tiktok and imagine my surprise when I encounter MULTIPLE uncensored photos of that poor child’s corpse on google. It’s disgusting that people don’t see the issue in sharing something like that. Like I guess without the picture going viral no one would really know the story but just knowing how sick some people are it concerns me that the pictures are so readily available for creeps to enjoy
It takes a lot for me to be shocked by the actions of youtubers/influencers nowadays, but this shocked tf out of me. This is horrifying. That she calls this 'youtube drama' is absolutely disgusting. This is not drama. She exploited a dead child for profit. A tortured & murd*red little boy's autopsy photos are not entertainment. This woman is demented.
Same, hearing that a TH-camr got caught in a scandal is normally on par with hearing that the sky is blue, but this is on par with the Logan Paul Japanese forest situation. My jaw dropped at the title of this video, because this is so beyond the line. How it could even cross someone's mind to firstly WANT to view the autopsy photos of a child's corpse, and then secondly think it's a good idea to PROFIT off of that child's corpse, is the most fucked thing I've ever heard in my life. There are no words for how low and repulsive that is.
She claimed she didn't mean to get the photos, that they were given to her by accident. Let's assume that's true. But she still made the conscious decision to add them to the video. Nothing erases that she chose to add them. She also says she's not an unfeeling monster, but needs sensitivity training. Lady, most human beings realize this is a line you never get even close to crossing, and we don't need sensitivity training to realize that. So yes, you are an unfeeling monster because you can't understand a very simple thing that the bulk of humanity has no issue getting.
Maybe she should go get some therapy cuz it sounds to me like she's a psychopath who feels no empathy.
That excuse is so dumb... Like how does that make sense???

autopsy photos are everywhere though. how would she know these particular ones were restricted?
because they were of a dead naked child. putting them out on the internet behind a paywall is just a horrifically easy way for predators to find, obtain, and use them for whatever gross reasons they want. it's negligence at best and knowingly distributing CP at worst, which i dont think i need to remind you is illegal. @@SpecialBlanket

As a family member of a murder victim things like this just cut me to the core, our tragedies and loss are not for your monetary gain. There is very real suffering behind these stories.
I was wondering if it was illegal for her to be charging for something like this. It’s so gross that anyone would think this is ok. It’s not gossip or drama. It’s a human being. There’s a fine line between true crime and exploitation. She definitely crossed that.
Oh it's **heavily** illegal.
If its autospy footage, and she didnt blur anything out, she could be joining a group so hated even other criminals hate them.

All these disgusting adults' horrible choices revolving around kids coming to light lately... it hurts my heart. I can't even imagine the trauma that all this is causing for the family that has to hear about this kind of disrespect for the loss of an innocent child.

this girl obviously isn't the kind of person that would think to censor so...
This is just exploitive. I like true crime, but there is a line that shouldn't be crossed when telling the victims' stories and covering the trials of their murderers. Disgusted.
I've never heard of this Zav Girl, but then again, as a true crime follower, I pick and choose what creators to watch on TH-cam because I know several of them have been called out for being insensitive to victims' families.

I followed Gannon’s case through another TH-cam channel and I cried a lot listening to his story, he was such a sweet young boy who loved his family more than anything it’s heartbreaking to think that there are people who would be willing to pay to see his autopsy photos which were actually not shown to the public during the trial due to how graphic they are. I hope something is done about this but at the same time I understand that the family must be tired, it’s been over three years of this tragedy and it’s time for them to heal. Rest in Peace Gannon I hope you are in a better and happier place now

They killed this poor kid twice. I hope she pays for this, this is despicable!
Only accept an apology if it was a genuine mistake
Someone old and wise once said "People will do some strange thangs for some change." This is super deplorable and no amount of "apologizing" is going to make up for the fact that this batty lady decided to sell access to photos of that child.
Those weren't hers to distribute or even request for the case files. This is why I dislike the true crime creators
She's banned there, don't worry
@@ReinKayomithank God!
That's why I normally watch Simon he's genuinely respectful
As someone who worked in forensic and has a medical background- having to deal with the murder of a child is never fun - and detachment is extremely difficult to maintain in these cases. Anyone profiting from these photos and using scientific curiosity and detachment as amelioration needs to take a long hard look at themselves. Beyond disgraceful.
Her apology still justifying her actions made me ill. I cannot believe how callous it is. As someone who worked with sensitive records in the past, if I received autopsy photos I didn’t request, I would have taken it back to the state to prevent such photos from being sent out to others.
It’s people like that really make the true crime community a mess… it’s disgusting. She is disgusting.
Maybe it's just me, but it really sounds like she's mumbling through her apology, then speaking far more clearly when trying to justify herself...
Some guy from Critikal got jumpscared from the autopsy
I have heard of 1 other person who put the photos up. Natasha Cooper. Zac girl mentioned she only , let that sink in, ONLY MADE 150.00. Which means 50 people actually paid to see it before Patreon took the video down. I also did hear a live where the creator who said she couldn’t stand Zav Girl did say things that weren’t true. But none of that matters. Human Decency say’s do not post autopsy photos and charge for it. Not a good apology because it is full of excuses..
Patreon is such a fucking mistake to ever live on the internet
"I don't understand why someone would want to see these photos." Oh you sweet summer child.
Annie Elise charge $1 for people to see Adrian Jones brutal autopsy photos (the kid that got eaten by pigs) 😢
This was a local case for me and when I heard what this girl did, I was appalled.
As a society, we really need to renormalize minding our own business because it's crazy that she doesn't realize how invasive her actions were, there is no reason for her to get involved in such a tragic and emotional charged situation that was never her's to begin with.
Hearing the dad talking about it broke my heart
That lawyer is Peter Tragos "Lawyer You Know" Love him! He's the perfect person to speak about this. Always respectful
Awful. Complete lack of empathy. The fact that she spent $400 to get the information (and photos) and then turned around and put it behind a paywall, which she advertised on her youtube videos, she had no interest in keeping things away from the public eye. She just wanted the charge the public eye.
I didn't know he died so brutally. This is so sad! I can't imagine WANTING to see those photos
