The Solaris mission has established a base on a planet that appears to host some kind of intelligence, but the details are hazy and very secret. After the mysterious demise of one of the three scientists on the base, the main character is sent out to replace him. He finds the station run-down and the two remaining scientists cold and secretive. When he also encounters his wife who has been dead for ten years, he begins to appreciate the baffling nature of the alien intelligence...

Para aquellos que se interesen, también está en TH-cam la versión que la televisión de la entonces URSS hizo para la televisión. Está dirigida por Boris Niremberg con guion de Nikolai Kemarsky. Dura aproximadamente 2.22:28 y, sin alcanzar las alturas incomparables de Tarkovsky, puede ser interesante. Está en TH-cam como "Solaris 1968 sub esp". y. si, está con subtítulos en español Pueden encontrarla con resolución 360 y 480.
No recomiendo a nadie ver la versión de 1968. Esa es una versión horrible y Amateur.

Leí Solaris hace eternidades, aún lo tengo. Ví la película Solaris, rusa? en esos tiempos, no sé si es esta. Ví también la Solaris con George Clooney, Natasha McElhone y Viola Davis, también muy buena, con un giro inesperado. Siempre sorprendente. Por momentos agobiante. Para mí habla de la apariencia y atemporalidad de las cosas, y sobre todo de la inabordable soledad de las almas.
Para un servidor, la mejor película de la historia. Simple. Y hecha por el director más talentoso que ha dado el cine.

La mejor película de todos los tiempos.
Una obra maestra absoluta y total, casi a la altura de 2001 de Kubirck y, por momentos, más enigmática, extraña, visionaria, subyugante. Traspasa el cine para convertirse en una experiencia única.
Es interesante que Tarkovski no estima obras de Kubrick, diciendo que están vacías. De hecho el documental lunar de Kubrick es todavía bien recibido aunque Hollywood este más avanzado en tiempo contemporánea
En mi opinión es más profunda e imaginativa que 2001.
Kubrick descansa en un lado fumando nervioso!
No puedes comparar las meninas de Velásquez con Picasso o Dalí; son universos muy diferentes como solo Solaris lo es…

Siempre he dicho que "Solaris" inspiró (junto con otras obras) al juego de "Silent Hill 2", sobre todo acerca del personaje de María.

Creo que es una contestación a 2001 de Kubrick, la que plantea la evolución del hombre hacia el super-hombre. Tarkovski parece darle un bofetada y decirle: el hombre solo necesita ser cada vez mas humano.

Una gran película soviética que le ha servido de "inspiración" a varios directores de Hollywood para volverse ricos y famosos con las ideas de otro.
Hay muchas cosas en esta película como su filosofía,el montaje,la decoración,etc,que ha sido homenajeada/ copiada en muchas películas posteriores.
Aunque muchos digan que Stalker es la mejor obra de Tarkosky yo me quedo con Solaris,una obra maestra de principio a fin👍

Meus comentários são de um professor de História e Filosofia aposentado que durante a graduação UFOP fazia parte de um cineclube de esquerda e sempre teve o prazer de exibir e comentar os filmes do Tarkovsky cineasta a ficção é introspectiva com questões da ALMA além dos olhos que veem mas os que Sentem a visão,neste sentido,STALKER é primoroso e tem esta obra com legenda em português que combina mais com a língua Russa que o Espanhol,tenho tido dificuldades em postar filmes não alinhados ao Inperialismo Americano e Sionista que domina meu país e a indústria de celulares de bandos de Direita Nazista

Buongiorno. L unico che può avvicinarsi a Solaris potrebbe essere 2001, ma rimane molto distante...se a Tarkovskij do 10, a Kubrick sono costretto a scendere a 6. La prima volta fu uno shock.

Escenas muy lentas; ritmo inusual para los no acostumbrados. Dialogos filosoficos. El científico sucumbe ante lo inexplicable pero real. En el país que habia erradicado la religión y la superstición.
