Awesome video man! I agree redfins are one of the coolest fish in the entire world. I fish for them often here in central Florida. Its a bit different down here but the love is all the same.

Love some Redfin. Grew up fishing for them in eastern NC. They are hard to find now due to pollution and other farming practices here. My best day we caught over 70 Redfin. I tend to use a jigger pole and cut bait the most.

There are probably one of my favorite fish! My grandpa grew catching them in the very same creek I fish these days!

I have a couple of minnow traps in the creek that runs through our property. Was going to check them and walked by a puddle left over from some heavy rain and saw something dart away. Scooped my bucket in and found two little redfins about 2in big. Heard of them but have never seen one in person, honestly thought they were baby gars until I did research😂

Go back in the heat of summer and throw a rooster tail…fun fish to catch!

I’m looking for that 410 and can only find it in a spinning rod, I’d prefer the casting version

I was at the Academy in Anderson, SC when I found this one. Should have bought me a few!

I’ve been working my ass off to catch one. The ones I’ve seen are no wear aggressive as the ones you are catching. I know they are in creeks that are inhabited by Chain Pickerel which I quite frankly avoid.

They are challenging! May-July are good months and the hotter the day, the better! My favorite is the red rooster tail but other baits work as well. Keep at em and good luck!

My granddaddy taught me to fish for them with a cane Pole goldhook and a brightest piece of red cloth i could find. Just throw it out drag it through the water. They would grab it and you sling 'em out there teeth would hold of them on

Didn't do any good the other day at the river. The water temp dropped from 67 degrees to 63 from Fri to Sunday. We going to put in at Colman lake this weekend and see how it goes
