Slight point of disagreement. 1. If a company is well, doesn't mean it won't lay off or fire, and they do it to people even more ruthlessly 2. Less salary at a big company doesn't mean less work. Today everyone expects 70-80 hours whether said or unsaid. Which means a higher salary at a mid scale firm is a better option than a low salary at a super large firm. Point of agreement: Do not join an unstable startup or a very new company, in the lure of designation
“Ah yes, because the world desperately needed another reminder that all companies, big or small, might lay off someday-what an enlightening revelation! But let’s not gloss over what the video clearly states: the probability of layoffs in new startups is astronomically higher because, unlike large corporations, they don’t have the resources, stability, or time to weather challenges. Your ‘70-80 hours everywhere’ argument is a gem too-so, people should jump into unstable startups with no job security and work long hours just because big companies also expect hard work? Genius logic! This isn’t about ‘low salary vs. high salary’; it’s about choosing between a rollercoaster ride with no seatbelt or a stable ride where the risks are manageable. You seem to have burned your fingers somewhere and now think exceptions are the rule. As the video says, don’t gamble your career for ESOPs in companies that may not last longer than your probation period.”
The point here is about probability. In big firms there is relatively less work pressure. In big firms only 20-30% employees have real work pressure. Everyone has perceived work pressure and you can't cure it
In IT, companies have made engineers fungible. No one is subject matter expert working for years in a technology. Companies hire for some technology and give work on some other technology and if employee could not perform, he/she will be fired. This means that even though company is doing great chances of getting laid off remains. This is becoming a norm unfortunately. And people are not getting time to become expert in a field so people remain vulnerable even later in their career.
Indian founders rarely make their employees rich. If you join an American startup, things are much better. But yes never join a startup if you are not very passionate about the line of work and don't like to practically work all the time. No use debating work life balance etc in a startup. Startups are disrupting established businesses and must work insanely hard to beat companies with deep pockets. Its not for everyone. I have worked round the clock, bèen available all the time etc and since i love working on a technical problem in front of a computer it doesn't feel burdensome. It is horrible for most others though
101% points bataya hai aapne aur bahut hi modern tarike se bataya hai, Startups companies linkedIn aur social media pr badi badi baat karte hai, ESOPs aur paise ke naam pr, Par ye bahut hi fraud hai, Don't join startup just because of money, if you dont see any solid business. Ye idea pr kuch paise utha lenge, phir ye apne employees, service provider, customers, aur investors ko bewkoof bnate hai. Please listen this conversion very carefully, And Make a note out of this video. I have faced while working in startups, Success sirf 2/3 startups ko milti hai out of 5000. Thanks for this video.
I also don't likes corporate life 😞 but earning kese hogi job karta hu or fire hota hu abhi teesri job chal rahi h meri aapne earning ke liye kuchh socha hai ?

Got 11 years of experience in a particular domain of IT at the age of 35, and reached almost highest salary cap in my city (Karam Bhumi). In this scenario current companies dont like to give appraisal on time, and they take seniors like us taken to be granted. No such companies found in hometown offering better salary than this. What to Do? Make a video on it.
Respecfully disagree sir. I am working at Microsoft and I can tell you for sure that logon ka burnout startup mein hi nahi MNC me bhi bohot hai EY case, HDFC case, McKinsey case. Reason for burnout in MNC is lack of vision, feeling lost, having no control and facing internal competition. Microsoft, Google Amazon too had massive layoffs. Meta ne hire karke canada bulaya bohot logo ko fir first week mein layoff krdia. Aapne to khud bhi pehle bola tha ki apne mohalle ka best runner banke bhi roti khaa sakte hai Olympic me jaane ki zarurat nahi hai. Then why not let them take that opportunity.
Very nice video sir and it was quite informative. I would like to suggest to make a video on visually impaired job seeker. There are so many visually impaired who work in public sector undertakings as all of us are aware that public sector banks and central government. Pais are also cost cutting in their hiring is in this scenario. How does a visually impaired person Search for their livelihood in corporate sectors?
What is the present action, can I take for switching my job as a Powerplant Engineer? Unable to change from the last 2 months, and not receiving any call for interview from last 2 years?
Not only the startups, many big companies are doing bulk hiring and firing. When you reach 30 you are forced to ignore marriage due to such situation, pathetik situation is there

Happened with me in 2022. I had to stay jobless for 3 months because of a startup. Now I always say no to startups.

See in big MNC you can change teams through IJP, it all depends upon the team. But this option is something you don't get for startups
I guess this burnout issue is Indian thing.
