I’ve been using those types of anchors for years. They are from the ice climbing world and we use them to but out anchors into the ice as we climb it. It’s nice to see a smaller version and one that fits to a drill.
Can’t wait until you test that Accuphy FFS. The no shuttle, all on the pole idea is genius. Great idea!!! Hope that unit is not a POS. The best part of this video is it proves that others are way more addicted to fishing than I. Didn’t know that was possible. Ha. Keep up the good work. Thanks
i'm planning on getting the same hub shanty for next year. they had one on display at l and m supply. i love the room and head room i'm six one with boots on and my head still didn't touch the ceilling. they had other makes and models on display as well, but i'm sold on that shanty it'll be an upgrade from my old one!
great tip on the wrist bands, thanks. That's my biggest problem. I use Volt Titan heated gloves and heated socks. If you're walking some distance and heating up, I wear a different set of boots and socks, then cool down while setting up, then put on the dry heated socks and dry boots -game changer.
What a haul! 😮 I came here to mention the budget friendly lithium battery powered aerators on Amazon for a fraction of the cost of the Clam and Engle brand ones. But you mentioned them before I even got here. I’ve had a few of them and the ones highly rated are worth every penny. Lasts for a few days especially on intermittent mode. And so much quieter than the old Bubbles AA or D battery ones! Looking forward to seeing the reviews on the new gear!
Eagle Eye 9 review or details coming out soon? Seems like it's got to be the lightest FFS and down facing live sonar, and I need light weight for my aging 58 yr old back. Keep up the great vids.
the summit shuttle HD shuttle comment was interesting. I didn't know why all the influencers were promoting the HD shuttle now so I'm curious how that split happened? Because everyone loved the summit shuttle when it came out. Excellent video, i always look forward to this to see whats new!
They both are great shuttles! I'll be doing a comparison of them this year. I try to stay out of the drama, and I keep from working for or being sponsored by any fishing gear or tech specific brands so I can stay unbiased (this is unique in this industry). I have a good relationship with the owners of both of the companies and they both have good products, however as can be expected, the HD Innovations shuttle is newer and so it has some improvements over the Summit Fishing HD Shuttle that I'll outline in my comparison. As for other influencers promoting one or the other, I'm sure there are individual reasons for each of them across the spectrum, as you can imagine 🙂
the best aerator stone I have found is the long blue ones that you can get at a pet store or any place aquarium equipment is sold. I have tried so many of the different aeration stones having a bait tank in my garage.
I am interested in Mega Live2 vs the competition. Like that everything is integrated into the screen, don't have to worry about a black box. Sounds like they are working on an ice bundle for next season.
I got the hd innovation set up i see you have the eagle eye-9 transducer mount for pole ice might have to make a video or 2 there's nothing on ice fishing with the eagle eye
@@joshsohrweide5683 How'd you like the EE9? I'm really wanting FFS and down live and love how light the EE9 should be from the looks. Any feedback at appreciated. Thanks.
@@joshsohrweide5683 Thanks for the word that you're still happy with it. I was close to getting a livescope, but put 20 lb in a bag and was like no thanks, then saw that these things were out there. Gonna grab one and think I'll dig it. Have you seen where folks put the ducer over like 10ft or so from fishing holes, then fish it on FFS and watch baits with more live area around baits. A youtuber called Eagle Eye ice was doing it. Thanks again.
Honestly, just buy the alpha 8" composite auger for it, and you'll have the best auger setup out there, and the weight won't be an issue like it is with the steel bit. That's what I would do if you already have the power head.
I have a job doing Product Management and Development at a Fortune 100 company, and I also make TH-cam videos on this channel and content on the gear as a part of my own content creation business. 🙂
I wouldn’t mind seeing all the “budget” live imaging going head to head against each other. That would be pretty cool. I was going to pick up the new ps22 version just for home hoping and leaving my big unit for in the shack.
After my first impressions, I'd maybe recommend holding off on the ps22. I think there are better options. Or at least get it from someplace you can return/exchange if you don't like it

I’m guessing drill plates are for the olds or handicapped. Otherwise I don’t see any ice fisherman besides TH-camrs buying a drill plate, just to be able to to use the 2 function on your drill to possibly drill a hole 1/2 a second faster. After hauling a sled and taking the time to set up my shanty and electronics, heater, etc. Bringing any extra weight isn’t coming unless absolutely necessary.
I can't wait to compare the two side by side and see how they measure up! And that is a very good point, even if side by side they aren't on the same level, by itself is it better than say a $1000 flasher?

Thanks man! Yes, lots of new tech to test out!
I truly enjoy watching you and you always have the best of the best new stuff to take my money lol 😂
Holy crap you are set up to have an amazing ice szn already, cannot wait to hear your review on that beta Ping Live Sonar
Thank you doing this. This is awesome. Lots of wants here but I can really determine what I need.
Watching from Innisfil, Ontario, Canada tonight. Love your videos!

Yes, now to spend as much time possible using it all, hopefully!

I heard the same thing, will be interesting to see what they come out with. I am hoping to pick one up soon once they are for sale to try this season.
Can't wait for info on the ping live. Please make a video soon on it
Will try to soon!
How do you clean your bait cooler?
Thanks! the videos are great!!

How are you attaching reels to poles... zipties???
