Ever since my son was born (march 2023, almost 1 year ago 🥹) we've both been watching your vidoes as a morning routine. After feeding/changing him, I get my coffee and turn on your videos as he wabbles around the living room playing with toys. He smiles and giggles every time you start your videos. He loves it haha. Also, I play sims in the evenings almost every day as a destresser and your videos helped me improve my skills tremendously. Thank you for that and for making our mornings fun!
Those "Cats and Dogs bushes" are called "Hosta" and they're very widely used as ground cover in the Northeast! They also bloom with flowers that have long stalks but tiny flowers, very pretty.
My mother loves hostas, they're great for landscaping IRL because they're so durable and low maintenance. She's planted so many hostas in every house she's lived in. I love including them in sims builds because it adds a extra layer of realism since they're easily identifiable as a "real plant" as opposed to some of the nondescript landscaping.
@@katechenault4808 Yup! Per google, its leaves, flowers, and roots are poisonous to both cats and dogs 😅Presumably included due to the Northeastern US vibes the entire pack has tho, they are quite common there.
She is really close to 2 million subscribers now. I wonder what she's gonna do to celebrate. When she hit 1 mil, she built a house worth exactly 1 million simoleons, so I really hope she is gonna build one for 2 million this time. With that much money, this many packs and her talent, it's gonna look amazing, I just know it.
Hey there! I’m a Vet Tech and it is very normal to have a tub/shower in the clinic. We of course have the pet bath, but we also have a human shower. This is in case of us being contaminated by a contagion or getting a lot of bodily fluids on us. Or in the unfortunate event that we are exposed to a harmful chemical or medication.
On the list of things I wished were added to the game in 2024 is definitely combining multiple lot types within one lot, that way you could have a clinic and rental apartment above it, tiny home with rental etc
I actually really appreciate Kayle reminding us when things are free. It's very thoughtful and useful that she mentions it regularly not just when the news came out.
I’m a vet nurse and you did so good on the kennels in the back. It’s funny because I work in a vets every day. I bought the pack was so excited to play it. Came back from work and started playing and immediately hated it. I felt like I was working again haha 😂
My dad is a vet, so I was really excited to see this video :) The whole time, I was thinking you were hitting a lot of the marks for realism, except a kennel area - so I'm glad you added some in! In real life, we have them in the back, and there are 'caged-in' areas of various sizes (similar to what you have) for dogs, and then smaller versions for cats. We also have just a stack of the carriers for cats, and two multi-tiered areas for *more* cats (there are cats that live at the vet clinic, we kind of have a cat problem lol) Our vet clinic is really small and rural, so it may be different in a bigger area, but because we do boarding and grooming, a bathtub would be perfectly normal.
I've volunteered at my aunt's vet clinic as a kid and I can tell you about the kennels in there. The dog kennels are full floor-to-ceiling mesh wire enclosures, about 3x4 sqft, there's only like 10 of them. The cat kennels are basically the size of a cat carrier, maybe a little wider, and there's like 50 of them stacked on top of each other against a wall (like 10 rows of 5 high). They go in there after surgery so they pretty much spend the whole time sleeping, so the kennels don't have to be big enough to really move around in much (but the dog kennels have to be big for the big dogs to lay down in of course). Plus the cats especially find the small space comforting if they do wake up. My job was waking them up when it was time for them to go home if they were still out!
looooonnnng videos of you playing old careers and gameplay aspects would be so fun!! even if you didn’t have time to do another 3 hour one, even a 45 minute or an hour in depth video would be super fun
I’ve been thinking about making my work in the sims. I work at a privately owned vet clinic so the building isn’t very big. My work has bars over the windows and metal secondary doors to prevent people from breaking in and stealing all of the medications and other things we have.
i love what you did with the animal hedges. when i worked for a vet diagnostics center, our public area had a beautiful glass wall separating it from the private lab space that had a glass etching with the name, the university we worked with, and this beautiful circle motif with lots of different animals in it. really reminds me of that!
I literally JUST built a vet clinic myself, I included a little fake shop in the reception where it looks like you can buy pet bowls, toys, pet food etc and it looks really cute! my vet in real life has a little shop in the reception so I was inspired by that :)
15:54 My father is a vet who owned clinics. It does look a bit like this! Typically, cats and dogs are separated. Cats often have their own “cat room” while dogs have the kennels. The cat room features stacked cages like you’d see in a PetSmart, and kennels look like the kennels you’d see at a shelter. Often there’s a linoleum floor and a drain for easy cleaning of accidents. Kennels are typically kept away from an area where people just walk by them. If they were in a busy area and not behind closed doors, the people walking by would constantly rile up the animals. At my dad’s clinic, he has a kennel room with pens like you made, a big dog washing bath like a groomer would have, and some supplies. The kennels typically have food and water, and maybe a toy or blanket if the dog can be trusted not to ingest them. In the cat room, it’s just cages with blankets, litter boxes, food trays, and maybe a toy or two if its safe. As a child I always wished I could fit in the cat cages! They have slats you can remove to expand the cage into another via a hole if both are unoccupied and you can offer more room. Always seemed so fun!
you got the boarding pretty close! the dogs will have full kennels and for the cats you have a wall of tiny crates. you would also put small dogs in the cat area so they can’t get out of the large kennels
As someone who works in boarding, you were accurate with chainlink fence! Sort of at least, the walls between the kennels are solid, but our gates are chainlink!
I would love a vet lets play or something like that!! Maybe they could live above it and have one of the animal aspiration (idk if there is multiple LOL)
A magical pill to cure any ailment for pets? Take everything I own just give me please! I went to the vet last Wednesday to put my 15 year old service dog who was my soulmate, my surrogate child, my everything, to sleep. She had kidney disease and we’re pretty sure ear cancer towards the end. It’s been 4 days and I haven’t stopped crying. I’m not even sure why I clicked on this video, it sent me right back to tears, but watching Kayla build always calms me so I did. But I would have sold my soul to have a wellness treat in RL just to save her.
I feel you, we lost our dog almost a year ago now to cancer (it will be a year later this month shortly before my birthday) it wasn't worth doing diagnostics to find out what kind since it had progressed so far and would have slowed down getting her hospice treatment. She was a geriatric dog for her breed mix as a giant breed so we knew she was on borrowed time but it still hurt to loose her
Could be fun to have an outdoor waiting room. One of the clinics we go to for our cats(we went somewhere different for our dogs) doesnt have a waiting room inside but they do have a sitting space for people to wait for the last client to finish up while letting their pet stretch their legs or go to the bathroom before going into the clinic, works really well at that clinic because its a very small clinic they have two exam rooms and only one vet. The other staff are either techs or they do the office keeping answering the phone scheduling appointments and processing payments. They do awesome with our cats though so the small size is more than worth it
I would love to see a longer video about the vet career or even a mini series like the one you did with the dumpster diving restaurant a few years ago!

i would love a long form video for the vet career!! i've been wanting to try it out but i feel very intimidated by it, and a video would definitely help!
I love this build. I'll definitely download it. I think I want a Sim to be a vet so this will come in handy. There's a vet where I live that actually has a place outside for dogs to train and run an obstacle course so there are Vets that have them. I don't know how many but it's cool.
I have watched every video every single day for YEARS but every time Kayla talks about her sewer cats I am always “🫢😱” as if I haven’t heard this story 40 times. I love you and your cats never stop taking about them ‼️

I'm a vet tech IRL and this is soo much nicer than the clinic where I work. We are in the city so we are just in a very cramped space but we do our best.
This is super accurate coming from someone who did volunteer work at an animal hospital! We had a huge staff area with a full kitchen and everything, which was cool :)
I’d love to see you build a cute little family owned restaurant or just a restaurant in general, I love your build style and wanna see what you come up with!
I got a tour at a vet's clinic and they had a few tiny individual boxes stacked for those just sleeping after a surgery, but then many animals were just free in a room with the employees who cuddled them. Some were also in their own carriers instead so I guess those had some trouble with new environments.

Where i live, these are really common and it made life so much nicer for my fur babies. Our vet has a fully kitted out van with (almost) everything he could possibly need, including medications, equipment and even the ability to do mobile ultrasound!
Oh that's really well thought out that way you don't even have to worry about your cats smelling a dog or vice versa when you enter the reception area. Our current vet is small enough that they only allow the current patient into the waiting room while your in the exam room another person can come in since they have two exam rooms but only one patient(or patient group if you schedule for multiple pets at once) is allowed into the reception area
Im a vet student, last semester we had a project worth most of our grade that was basically to build a vet clinic, including all the legal and financial and structural stuff. Animals are the best thing so honestly I’m gonna love this video😙
Simsie: builds a vet clinic
Also: puts 10 of the one plant that's toxic for cats
when i first got cats and dogs i used to love building vet clinics and i haven’t done it in a while but this made me really want to try again
As a vet nurse... Those stairs to the front entrance would be an absolute nightmare 😭 the clinic is super beautiful tho!!
It was so unexpected, but, I loved get to understand the whole thing with pulp
I would love a video on the vet career! I'm still so sad they didn't just make it an active career like the acting or get to work stuff - I would have used it so much more that way!
Oh yeah those pet treats would be so good. What I wouldn't give to see my Toby Toebeanz as a kitten. (He was being rehomed, my family got him at a few years old.) Perpetual kittens/puppies in general would be the the best.
This is so perfect I was literally just thinking I needed to build a realistic vet for my save file!!!!
It looks like a house converted into a small town vet clinic, adorable.
I kind of buy the idea that Pulp is immortal. She’s like Stitch from Lilo and Stitch. An alien disguised as a dog 😂
i immediately worried when she put the bathtub down. i can just imagine pet owners bathing in the middle of the check ip😭😭😭😭
thanks for the reminder, just got it and my first pets stuff
