- Playing around with a new format I'd like to present you "Daily Writ Ramble", where I complete my daily writs and talk about different subjects. Today: Why do we play ESO to begin with? I'm going a bit philosophical halfway through though :b

I can so much relate to what you said about not having enough time or not beeing able to play for 7 to 8 hours anymore. I am one of those between 40 and 50, you mentioned. Oh and by the way, I was not doing dishes or so till minute 20 of the vid, just doing Dungeons ;D

The farming party addon will track what you've collected for a given amount of time. It will also show the ttc average you can get for it. It doesn't count how many nodes you've farmed, but it sounds like it could save you some math as you can just /fp reset to reset the counter
Thanks! Yeah as I mentioned in the video I REALLY needed the actual number of nodes I have harvested. Thankfully I am done with 1200 individual harvests by now and have the numbers. This will work as baseline data for all future gold guides that refer to harvesting so I'm psyched to have the ground work done!

Like the video. This is the first WOW expansion I am missing launch for save for MoP. I like the expansion release because it is SOOO easy to make gold.
I like how you described the horizontal progression of ESO, but I disagree with the mount grind. Shared CP removes a large component of XP progression and mount upgrades are a small facet to make each character better. It sucks, but it could be so much worse.
Not a fan of this format, however. Recommend you pre record play and voice over with dialogue so ambient sounds are removed and you can stay focused on content. It also helps with developing witty comments about what is happening in your game.

I actually thought about pre-recording and then talking over the footage. The thing with that was that I thought I'd maybe have to show a few things like prices for individual items and such live. I will try it your way in the next Daily Writ Ramble though and see how that flows!
hey Goodman. I just had my first kid a few years back. was really hard to adjust going from 8-10 hrs of gaming a day to 1-2 if none depending on the day. So for me games have become even more of a gem because the time i get to play is rare but much more meaningful. Been playing ESO since day 1. Always think mmos are a good game for people with limited time. Just know its normal what you are feeling!! Love the vids, Always nice to wake up drink a cup of coffee and listen to my favorite Germany ESO content creator :)
You may know the addon but ESO farm buddy is a big help to keep track of the amount resources collected. believe there is an option to see how many nodes as well
Hey man good to hear from ya! Congratulations on being a dad:) So how do you relax nowadays when gaming isn't that much of a factor anymore?
The blood is part of the Macabre Vintage set that causes an explosion of blood and leaves the visual so some have found it makes stealth kills very bloody. It is an easy Overland set from West Weald. Its actually a lot of fun.

Recent viewer here, just had to say. Outside of loving the content, you should carve yourself further into the ESO TH-cam community without adjusting your accent dude! Something as small as that is part of your identity and separates your content from others. Love these kinds of ramble videos!

Answer, I have invested a lot of time in this game and still enjoy it. If I solo PVE content, or pit myself in PVP, I enjoy this game.
This is my first MMORPG. I loved it except for the daily mount upgrade and tedious xp grind. Tried harvesting nodes in Craglorn for 3 hours, I've only got 2 Potent Nirncrux....lol
Nirncrux can be a SOB sometimes. One time I get 5 in 20 nodes and then I get nothing for 1h straight :D
I always get hyped for ESO -> purchase ESO+ -> play it to death for like 2 weeks -> burn out on grind (crafting, mounts, farming relevant sets for that patch) -> get bored with quests because deleting overworld mobs is dull and listening to NPCs describing their trouble with ghosts/bugs/necromancers etc. for the 1006th time is eh. -> stop playing for 8+ months again. Since 2014 :D
So are you currently in your 2 week phase? :D perhaps not chasing after the meta would be nice for your enjoyment :)
@@CasualLamer not but I have that itch to install it again. I would farm mounts for fun like I used to in WoW way back when but that is not a thing in ESO
I did it :D How are new characters supposed to play without ESO plus lol. I looted few resource nodes and my inventory is full :D Buying plus tomorrow this is ridiculous
Ok this 2nd time you have been wrong about nirncrux drops in Craglorn. They can drop from ALL harvest nodes except pure water. I have gotten potent nirncrux from water plants, from mushrooms, jewelry dust nodes, and from enchant runes. While I love people ignoring these nodes so I can get those nirncrux from them, it is wrong info to tell people those nodes won't drop the nirncrux mats....since they will drop them.
Each toon seems to have their own luck at getting good drops, including time of harvesting before getting the good drops and which node(s) are their luckiest. If you harvest a very long time on a toon you might figure out its luck pattern. Like a friend of mine says they only get nirn on their toon after harvesting for 40 min, always 40min if its going to drop at all. Versus my main harvester will get lucky in the first 5-20 min of harvesting if they are going to get lucky that day. But our other toons have different times for average luckiness, and different harvest nodes for luckiness seems to change day to day.
I've harvested 15h in total in craglorn and not ever for just one instance have I gotten nirncrux from the aforementioned nodes.
@@CasualLamer I have never timed my play, but game says on my main toon I have over 1 year of play time....and I can say I have done harvesting in craglorn for 1-4 hours a day for probably 4-6 months worth at least. I harvest all nodes..though yes i skip pure water a good bit since it doesnt give the nirncrux.
I have gotten fortified and potent nirncrux from mushrooms, flowers, jewelry, water plants (even double potent nirncrux from water plants), and enchant runes. My most lucky node for any nirncrux is cloth first, wood second, and enchant runes 3rd. I have harvested all nodes in craglorn for 4-7 hours during 2 days and did not get a single nirncrux rune (but we all know its supposed to drop in that zone). And there have been many days I got 3 potents and 4 fortified nirncux in just 25 min of harvesting.
Could be you havent harvested these other nodes long enough to hit your lucky harvest time with them. I will say they do not drop super often (like my 3 more lucky ones for me), but they will drop from them.
