We need more crab lures or better jigheads for the ones on the market. I think a simple weighted hook that can be threaded on the bait would be great but sadly there aren’t any on the market. The only thing I think that might be similar are the crappie tube jig heads. I use the gamakatsu ones for saltwater but they bend out from time to time.
Have a pack also, gonna try them in a creek to see if I can get some bites. There's a disclaimer on Tackle Warehouse not to store these with other soft plastics.
Great video I've just made the purchase can't wait to use them, when your retrieving the crab you mentioned you let it sink, then slowly wind and stop just curious do you want to have any tension on the line or do you want slack in the line?
You generally want to have some slack in the line to let it sink. but once it has had enough time to hit bottom you want to keep line tension. Thanks for leaving the comment!
Carlos Luke, I may have to go for the 1 1/2" crab, but pse help me out here. What is the length of the 1" crab taking the legs into account? Many thanks for the excellent/informative videos.
How would this lure work with fast moving tides like we see here in SC? Typically with fiddlers, we have to drop straight down with a fairly heavy weight so it won't just float with the tides endlessly, and away for the pilings where the Sheepshead are.
I've come to the conclusion that I'm an absolute skunk at fishing with artificial. I literally just spent an hour with this lure while looking at a school of sheepshead and I could not even get them to look at it.
There is so much controversy and issues with the actual size of these Savage Gear crabs. On the front of that package you have it says 2.5cm-1", 2g-1/14oz; but that label on the back says, right in front of your face, TC-50-NP 2"-1/4oz...and you don't point out the discrepency in those labels. Savage Gears own website has THAT crab, TC-50, in 2", 3", and 4" sizes. There is no 1" crab for that model. Now if you go to Bass Pro Shops website, they have this same crab...TC-50, in 1" and 3". If you go to Tackle Warehouse website, they have it in 1", 2", and 3". This makes no sense!

There are plenty of great options out there!
Can you guys please review the No Live Bait Needed 5" Swimbaits? I've seen them around a ton.
We will see what we can do!
How do these compare on redfish?
What size line you using for it? Mono or flouro?
Just curious what size jig are you using for this?
What line and rod setup is good for 2 inch and 4 inch crab?
I found it on Amazon I just hope it comes with the jig
I got it, and it comes with the jig. Hope this helps! Tight lines!
What do you mean when you say that the crab reacted and went bad
Should be good for snapper right???
Think these with the bottom sweeper jigs would be a good combo?
That’s such a good idea, if anyone tries this let us know
Tie direct or loop knot?

Good video, would these work well with a 1/16 oz keel weight hook or no weight hook to sink them slowly? Thanks
R these useful with Black Fish?????

Thanks for leaving a comment, Carlos! The legs don't stick out but maybe a quarter inch on each side.
Nice underwater footage and review

Yeah the tides are really fast down here in SC. Do fiddler crabs work as bait though???
@@twomovesahead_media for Sheepshead, Fiddlers are the most popular bait by far.
Based on how they have done here, I have to assume they'd work up your way too.
Just buy the bodies 5 in a pack and put your own hooks in them and let them drop naturally like you were doing with crusties .
What kind of hook? Weighted hook? Jig?
Size 1/0 J hook
Shinkiro you can use a weighted hook if you want to get it down faster or in moving water ,
Why not just go with these?
4:09 it probably touched a zman. Zman baits hate any other plastic
thank you for your time..
Any time
might be good for bass
Please let us know if you try them for bass.
@@Saltstrong Lol i don't think you can buy them in Canada :P
Is this a 1” or 2”
It's the smallest one... package says 1", but it seems to be a bit bigger than that.
I saw a review and a dude was slaying redfish , black drum , and a tarpon on it
Nice!

Some days they just don't eat!
