Nat is such a good actress. Every character she plays is so different. She manages to capture Ellia's mysterious/magnetic energy and vulnerability at the same times. And with just 30 secs of screentime and a couple of lines!
I was watching this with a friend and when Natasha appears I scream: "Oh my god, oh my god!" and she was like "Wtf?" and I was like "Sorry, the feels of see my wife on screen" ♥ It really looks good!!!
A really solid first episode! I have so much feelings for this webseries! I am so so sooo excited for it and am pretty sure I've died multiple times already. When this video showed up in my sub box, when it started, when I saw how adorable Casey is, the lil joking between friends was so cute and natural, when Ellia first showed up and when it ended. I was already in love before but now I'm super stoked and love it even more!
So, usually when I find an actor/actress, where I really like their craft and talent, I'll end up following their career. And that's something I've done here. Watched Natasha on Carmilla and loved it, found out about Carmilla from Dominique on Wynonna Earp. And started watching this due to Natasha. And i'll probably end up commenting on every episode, just like I did for Carmilla. I love the backstory on this! Isabel did a great job with her character, being in the "go get em" mind set for a website creator! The house in the background is absolutely gorgeous! And I like the fact that it's snowing! It really sets the mood for this show! Natasha did another amazing job at this character! It's weird cause I can sense an insecurity in the character (which is most likely the character being scared of the house), but Natasha also brings this weird sense of confidence to the character, and that might be the "artist" part of the character, but it's absolutely beautiful to see! If ever I get the chance, or someone meets her on a panel, I hope someone will ask her how she prepared for this character!
+Janet Hills they're bringing up carmilla bc they're trying to copy the archetypes. Perky, investigative girl vlogs about mysterious happenings. Both Laura and Casey. Said girl meets mysterious, broody brunette with secrets. Carmilla - or Ellia. I'm gonna give this a shot but it better step up the originality.
You are the one willing to compare them and finding odd similarities that could be found about any mystery stories. I have no Carmilla expectations when watching this and I'm here because of NatVanlis, the only common point between Carmilla and this.
The title design is one of the best I've seen in webseries so far, but I gotta admit I died a little inside when I saw the font was Papyrus.. [Bonetrousle plays in the distant] *Anyway!* Interesting first episode, I'm intrigued what the rest of the season will bring! :D
Natasha appeared and the whole thing got better by a lot, she just is so awesome. Her voice is so damn nice. And how good did she look, oh my god?! Natasha is so beautiful, sexy and her acting is so amazing. Her presence in a scene just makes me happy somehow. Excited to see how this will go. Natasha 👏🏼👏🏼
Why does Natasha look so much closer to Casey in the OTS shots but farther away in the mid-shots? I'm guessing it's an importance thing but it was a little jarring.
Little disappointed in the girl that seems to be the main focus, kind of was hoping it would be Natasha's character so I'm hoping as the season progresses she gets more focus and the other two get a little less as she's a much stronger actress IMO. But, other than that I'll continue giving it a shot and hope it improves
I am super excited for this! I imagine these girls are like the Ghost Facers but smarter and cuter. Maybe we can see if gay love really does pierce through the veil of death and save the day. ^.^
