Oh, how I hope this game gets localized. It looks so much fun and the music is amazing. But yeah... that editing... that is hilarious. I love how the Nintendo and 3DS logos get flattened beneath the Sumo Wrestlers stomping and how they actually start fighting when the Sumos start fighting. And I love how the Rhythm Tengoku logo reacts to the dog and the rhythm. You don't HAVE to do that, but you do anyway to give people something entertaining in the background, as well as what's happening front and center. It's cool.

I animated everything outside the game myself, (all based on layers, scaling/translation key framing etc) It is manual work, I didn't just reference pixels or something.

This is the most stupid anecdote, but I was going through a nasty break up in college when I stumbled across this video. All those negative feelings are kind of packaged into this song. I haven’t heard it in a while, but as I saw this again today all those terrible memories started rushing back into my head. This song is embedded into my brain as a break up song for the rest of my life. And it’s about sumo wrestlers.
