Matte Charizard is sexy and deserves respect. It's not his fault that people are automatically attracted to his shiny brother, and that he has to compensate for it in order to get recognition.
A small detail I love so much is that the black charizard, despite having a confident, even arrogant aura to him, he's never mad when his brother is getting the attention. He just keeps smiling, happy they're both there, and I can't get enough of it.
Except for at 0:52, where he isn't mad, he just looks... upset. Disappointed, even. Makes sense though, his brother is being a goofball on-stage, I'd be face-palming in that scenario too!
Fun fact: Charizard,or rather chamender, only learns dragon dance through an egg move, meaning their father had to be a pokemon that could learn dragon dance, as pokemon always hatch as the same species as their mother. It doesn't have to do much with the video with the exeception of the obvious (charizard brothers using dragon dance) but I think it's an intersting mechanic.

As a competitive player, I can confirm this is what happens every time I use dragon dance. You should only see the dances they do for swords dance and teeter dance
The overuse is pretty much the only reason i dislike charizard. It freakin got its gigamax form before the other two starters, as a blastoise fan it really hurts.
For me it's more like not doing anything fun or awesome with the fella,. I guarantee if the Charizard brothers are in the next game no one would care how overused they are! XD

The way the Pichu just launched every time the Charizards stomp reminds me of when Ash's Charizard "battled" Sparky the Pikachu. It was when Ash's Charizard still didn't respect him and Ash had warned Charizard not to underestimate the Pikachu. Instead of actually battling he stomps hard enough to knock the Pikachu an the air a few times (if you look at the ref in the background, you'll see he also has some trouble keeping his balance) and flaps his wings hard enough to send him tumbling, before laying down and refusing to fight. Memorable moments.
Two years ago and I'm just now finding this! Immediately brightened my day and put a smile on my face. Two of my favorite franchises wrapped up in an adorable animation. Thank you for this!!
Man, this amination is so good. In fact, it's better than the original, by a HUGE margin. I honestly don't like the original sumo brothers; the way they put a ridiculous amount of effort into each step is cool, but the sections where they spar with each other is so... unnatural that it's honestly a bit unnerving to me. And yet you've made it into a true masterpiece.

I could make that a thing if I was any good at programming... I will first plan out the game, as in like what 'Mon appears in which game, and what the minigame titles are, but everything else would have to be coded in to work, as well as animated with the right sprites. Some stuff would be inspired by other TH-camrs, some stuff would be my personal similarity notice, others would just be because why not.
Love the art and personalities that you given them. Animation like this is so underrated and looked over on...makes me sad that I grew up with it. So I'm happy that I get to see something like this again!
