A nice coincidence. A few hours ago I uploaded a song to my TH-cam channel that refers to “Being Boiled”. For me personally, “Being Boiled” was the initial spark to make music myself. One of the most important single records of the (late) 1970s.
Bob was the instigator of the Human League split. I loved original Human League but they were not particularly commercial. Last obviously saw Phil Oakey as a potential commercial star so he probably got into Phil's head. I would have hated to be kicked out of my own band.
martin ware seems a little intolerant to other points of view. considering how laid back phil oakey seems to be, i suggest that maybe just maybe mr ware is "difficult"? i presume ian craig marsh found it easier to quit than negotiate anymore.
@@ernestpresents Now that you mention it, is it too much to ask to get Philip Oakey or Ian Craig Marsh to consent to an interview on Electronically Yours? Hope springs eternal.
Love your politics man...'I considered standing as an MP when Corbyn was in charge'...brilliant. 'Are you still a socialist Bob'? ... Great question.... Fast Records was fabulous and very much 'of its time'.
