Playmat storage hack: use hair twisties to gently secure them when rolled up and store them in garment bags that can be hung on a door or in a closet. Saw this hack for wrapping paper and decided to try it with game mats. Works great for me.
While the original Labyrinth game is pants, they're exploring new rulesets and changes to make it better. Also includes Ready Steady Worm which is so much fun, especially if you want to teach your kids about gambling,
Lots of good stuff. I limited myself to Terrorscape with one expansion and the $100 pledge of DC United. I’ve already got too much stuff to ever play from Marvel United but those DC minis are pretty good value for people who like to paint.
I should maybe be thanking my brain for this as my bank account would be screaming but I am so turned off by the chibi style of the United franchise I'll never back a project. The game looks(and probably is) amazing but I cannot get over the look of the characters and it's a huge shame they went in this direction IMO.
What's with the giant mics in everyone's faces? Did we go back in time 10 years? Really loses the chilled vibe DT chats used to have. So rigid and awkward.
Welcome to the microphone bar. There are plenty of channels with good wearable microphones, so why does the DT not get these? The old casual style of seating had my preference.
I feel like they could still use these style mics while seated - they are on hinged "arms". I do appreciate Tom is always working to innovate/improve. But I also didn't have an issue with the old mics and honestly didn't notice the sound difference (I guess I just don't play close enough attention).
@@hawkbass3456 there is better quality but that was more because the old system did not work properly. MvM, Player’s Aid, etc. do a better job with sound. On a second listen it sounds very much like when they did the 4 squares during COVID. When somebody turns their head and speaks the sound is lower in volume, so not sure it is an upgrade over the old style.
The snarky disrespect you guys have for print n play and small developers is beginning to irk me. Grow up guys. In a world where getting the "whole game" for something like DC United is $275+, where more than 60% of the game is crowdfunding only exclusive...the only market foil is print n play from smaller developers. We'll soon be in the world of $1000 board games, oh wait, the last Marvel United, complete, for those that didn't back the previous ones, was about that much. Ridiculous. The market needs a correction.
To be clear, we agree with you that games should be cheaper. The snarkiness we show is towards Joey, and it's a thing of silly love. Joey backs print and plays, and then never prints them. So we always joke with him about that. That's why we laugh about it and joke.
