    I’d love to see what Iowa can do we they have an offense. I’m very hopeful that the new OC is going to be a good fit. The defense is going to be elite and we have a pretty favorable schedule. I live in California so I can’t wait to go see my hawks beat up on UCLA!
    Nebraska poised to be the best 6 and 6 team in the country!

    😅 Nebraska ahead of Wisconsin & USC is insane. Even a few others are debatable. Homer's going to Homer.

      Considering Wisconsin's over/under for wins was 6.5... USC's was 7.5 and Nebraskas was 7.5... I don't think you know what the word "insane" means. It's power rankings, they're there to have fun with, try that out sometime 👍

    For anyone paying attention, Lanning is as entrenched as any coach in the nation. He passed up Bama for crying out loud. He doesn't want his kids to move again. He loves the resources and support at Oregon. He's not going anywhere and the reason they're recruiting at this level is because the kids know it.

    • @Bigtenshow
      @Bigtenshow  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Agreed. He is in the perfect spot and I don't think anyone can pry him away. I still think Oregon has the brightest future of any Big Ten team

    You’re wrong about questioning Lanning . You evidently never heard what he said when they were talking Alabama.
    Quote , Oregon gave me a chance when no other college team was willing to do at the time. I am here to get this program to the top and I am not moving my family until we reach that goal ?
    His kids are in Grade school and his family lives Oregon as a place to raise their families . Plus there is a ton of nature from coast to lake rivers and mountains . And he has players come to his home and takes them camping and other things . He makes his players family.
    He is going nowhere mark those words.

      You're right. We did get a chance to have Spencer on from Locked on Ducks and he told us about that aspect of it. But I agree he's there to stay. I learned a lot on our conversation with him

    "Rutgers, middle of the pack at 13"... not sure Justin quite understands how math works...

    • @Bigtenshow
      @Bigtenshow  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      In my defense, I'm terrible at math lol But I was morso speaking in "Middle of the pack level" Meaning I think that in terms of tier, they are middle of the pack. I have the first tier with the big 2 teams, then from there a little drop for 4 and 5, then 6-9 I feel are the teams that are wild cards that could climb up, or fall. Those are harder to gauge imo, then you have your "Middle of the pack" teams which are your Rutgers, Maryland's and Northwestern's, where those 3 schools ceiling are far more limited than the teams ahead of them for a varietyy of reasons, academic standards (northwestern), Geography (Rutgers) and Maryland (Because they're Maryland) but they are much better teams than the ones below them.

    Lanning saying he ain't going anywhere has already _helped_ recruiting. He'll keep saying it whenever his name comes up, and the kids believe it. That's not going to be an issue for Oregon.
    I like Oregon in Eugene at least. I think they'll have a better QB and a better OL than OSU, and Oregon's top one-two at receiver is possibly the best in the country, with Tez Johnson and Evan Stewart. Those teams might play 3 times.

    • @Bigtenshow

    I think you are sleeping on USC. Their offense is going to score, even against good defenses. Their defense should be much better. They always had the talent, and now they have s very good DC. I really think they should be at 5.
    I think Nebraska is probably at 8. If I'm wrong, it's because they'll be better.
    Lanning isn't going anywhere. He already said no to Auburn, Texas A&M, and Bama. Sco Ducks!

    • @Bigtenshow
      @Bigtenshow  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      To be completely transparent, I could be. I may be overestimating the impact the transition for some of these teams. I would love for USC to be good though. CFB is better when the blue bloods are good. I originally had Nebraska at 8, but the schedule we have is VERY favorable, especially early on, the back half is tougher. 8 is originally where I had them though, so that is completely fair.

    • @Bigtenshow

      USC will only win 7 or 8 games tops but fair enough as they play LSU and ND out of conference guess they are probably 5th or 6th best conference team in Big Ten though.

    As an Iowa fan, I can't argue with either individual's placement of Iowa. I do understand the criticism of Wisconsin by Justin, so Iowa as a top 5 with a divide from the top 4, totally understandable. I think Iowa can compete with them, if the offense is improved. I think USC is a wildcard that could be top 5 or could be 9.

    • @Bigtenshow
      @Bigtenshow  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you for being reasonable! It is appreciated! lol Iowa is just there until we can see what this offense can become but they are not far from that playoff threshold. And I agree 100% on the USC comment. Their defense is such a question mark, the new QB seems like a good player but the jury is still out.. But they do have a favorable schedule in terms of not having to leave California on the back half of their schedule. Appreciate the support! 🙏

      @@Bigtenshow Iowa having two solid phases and really being an average offense away from being a tough out for everyone is awesome for Iowa fans, but stupid they haven't figured it out.
      Watch out for USC fans. They are very irrational in their comments online. Iowa State figured out Lincoln Riley teams. I think B1G teams can too. Now Riley is focusing on defense, which is like oil and water to what got him to where he is. I don't think it is a smooth transition. Their schedule this year could mask a lot of it.

    • @Bigtenshow
      @Bigtenshow  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@TenaciousStudent I just have no idea still how Iowa can't get a competent QB even with a 5 star linemen. Iowa feels so far away when you watch them play but then you realize, they are a move or so away from being there. But as for the USC fans I can see that! lol They are just passionate so as long as the don't cross the line of disrespectful it's all good. One thing I have learned is no matter what, some people are going to not like what we say but that is the nature of the beast. I agree, I just think it may be tough on them when they really end up in a dog fight with a Big Ten School.. That is going to take some getting used to for them. We have a USC episode going out on Monday so we will probably get a mass influx on the channel so here we go! lol

    • @TenaciousStudent

      @@Bigtenshow make sure to point out the weather. They think it is just the cold that influences our game, they have no idea wind is often an issue with the pass game too. They really don't believe the cold or travel with influence them either. Rude awakening incoming. They believe they are on the same tier as Ohio State, LOL. Oregon is the closest and I would bet everything I own the monster that is Ohio State beats Oregon this year. I'm really not a homer, it's just the talent gap is that severe, despite the closeness in recruit rankings. I felt justified when the vegas conference title odds came out and there was a clear drop off. USC has an easier schedule and slightly better odds than Iowa to win the conference. That is a galaxy behind Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan, and now Oregon.
