The fact that's this video meant something totally different to me 8 years ago and now, is supposed to be Nico taking Clancy outside of the walls of dema kicking off the whole storyline is insane to me...

For real, the lyrics even seem different considering Tyler now embraces red and is gonna replace the Bishops. Overcompensate shows us a vengeful Clancy who stole a name from a grave (Trapdoor), wonders if anyone else is bothered by having someone else's name (Forest) and how the car is driven by Nico, and then Tyler is forced to take the wheel. Like it's fate the car makes it, but falls apart as if it's destiny for Josh and Tyler to battle at Paladin Strait with their two armies of Banditos. I like how Josh is waiting with his yellow hair when Tyler finally arrives in Dema. Even has his Bandito/Torchbearer color scheme going... maybe the story is about how fire is unstable, it can be controlled to only illuminate some of the darkness. When possessed for destruction, it's wild and uncontrollable. You bring the fire, I'll bring the bones. (Hometown) I smell gasoline on my hands, this is not what I had planned (Forest)

I wish I heard this album long ago. “Stressed Out,” “Ride,” and “The Hype” hit so hard. The sound is high and light, but the content is deep and dark, still with the hopes and prospect of finding that high and light feeling for real, and not just longing for it or hurting from the loss.

@@kaipinkman so glad you asked… The Banditos are a group of rebels that live outside of Dema who help Tyler escape in the Nico and The Niners video. I’m pretty sure they’re a metaphor for Tyler’s friends and family who help him out and support him during his tough times (when he’s in Dema). If you couldn’t follow any of that go watch “I am Clancy” it explains everything perfectly!
Also the main color of The Banditos is yellow, which explains Josh’s hair, because he’s their leader or at least that’s what I’ve gathered from the music videos. Hope this was helpful!!!!!

This will probably get lost in the comments but .....My Theory: it begins with josh with his eyes closed, eyes without makeup, meaning he has overcome his anxiety. Josh has defeated his blurry (as shown in concert videos) while Tyler is still stuck in a car being driven by blurryface. Blurryface is trying to kill josh, trying to kill their dream. But in the video, the car breaks down to joshes drum beats. Because of joshes sassy drum playing and being passionate/hardworking is real life, he gradually sets tyler free. It shows how much josh cares for tyler and how much he wants them to succeed the dream of performing together. But it also seems to be in a loop, so maybe tyler feels he's stuck with blurry.

My Theory:
Blurryface represents Tylers insecurities in singing, rapping and writing, right? Blurryface drives the car in which Tyler is, and for me that means that Tyler struggles with his inseurities the entire time. Josh is in the middle of the highway on which Tyler is driving, visibly confused. That means that he wants to help his BFF, but he doesn't know how. He hits the drums when Tyler is passing him, reaping away parts of the car driven by Blurryface every time. (on a sidenote: Blurry's colors are red and black, and Josh has none of them on himself, which means that he helped himself through his insecurities, while Tyler has dark grey (light black...) on himself, with no red, which may mean that Blurryface is loosing his grip. Oh, also Blurryface lights the drums up. We'll get to that later.) Oh, I also think that the car represents his unwillingness to make music. Blurry disappears, which means that he has nothing to blame on his unwillingness to preform. He looks around for BF, just to make sure that he is alone. When the car falls apart Tyler sing "death inspires me like a dog inspires a rabbit". That means that he is motivated to do something. He can decide by himself if he wants to make music or no. Josh helped him by playing his drums. (Another sidenote, in Fairly Local, Josh loses his drums., which means that his blurryface decides if he can or cannot play the drums. Oh, and the Fairly Local video is in a cold, icy setting. Just like this one!) Tyler hops out of the car and sings near Josh. The place is lit. The fire represents the fight between Blurryface and the boys. It burns off the black and red kitchen sink, which symbolises that blurryface is no longer a part of the band. Later, Tyler is seen sleeping in a car. Without a driver, and with a clean neck and hands. It represents that, although he still has to fight everytime he wants to preform, it is easier, without someone to blame.
But hey, that's just a theory! A music video theory!
