Oh my god, I felt the same thing. My mom is an alcoholic and she would take all her anger out on me. I was screamed at, abandoned, almost killed, and many more things. When she says "I can't believe you tore humanity apart. With the very same machines that could have been our new start", I relate to it in a way because after she kicked me out and didn't talk to me for a year she bought a new house and she made me a room which I thought of it as the machine that could have been our new start. But she just wanted to use me for child support and to take care of her kids haha.

My mom was a geography professor, and I thought she was the coolest person on earth. My dad worked a few states away so it was me and her a lot. I was yelled at so frequently that it became the norm for me and we'd butt heads almost every night, and I cried until I fell asleep a bunch. I found out soon after she had gone away for the second time to a "depression center" that she had been arrested for drug abuse.
i lived with her mom for a while after that, but it didn't get any better because she drank every night, and the verbal abuse continued for another two years. I went to my school counselor about self harm and voluntarily went to a psychiatric hospital. dhr got involved and my parents divorced.
after all of this my dad married his gf at the time (both of my parents cheated on each other). having been used by my mom for her emotional stability and by toxic friends at school for money and having been bullied for so long as a kid i didn't adjust to the much better home life for about a year.
i'm doing better now, though. i hope the same for all of you! she's been my step mom for around four years now and i couldn't ask for a better family.

This song really reminds me of my bestfriend since kindergarten. I loved her so much that I even wanted to be her, I always wished to be her. "I bit the apple 'cause I trusted you" really hit me. I never thought she would do that to me, that day when we were in 3rd grade. We were in the school hallways minding our business then suddenly she pushed me to the wall then started laughing at me. She knew I hated it when people laugh at me. I didn't know why she was laughing. Then a bunch of girls suddenly came out of nowhere and started laughing at me as well. I hated it. I always get insecure when people laugh at me. I didn't even know why they were laughing at me. I started crying. Until one of the girls said they should stop because I was crying, and knew I would tell on them. So they left without saying anything. Even my so called bestfriend. I didn't tell on them because of what the girl said. I just- kept quiet. The next day my bestfriend came up to me and we walked to class together, she acted like nothing happened. So I changed schools. I hate her. She used my insecurities against me. I hate it. I swear, I keep choosing the wrong friends. 4th grade. I met this girl. I actually don't know how we became best friends, I kinda forgot I guess. Anyways, I also loved her, everyone loves her. She is like- heather, you know? She was so pretty, soft skin, amazing eyes, I wanted to be her as well. "If you could only be what you pretend you are" I really wished. She really wasn't the person I expected her to be when we got older. She was so ignorant. She even had a 4 person friend group without me in it. I asked her if I could eat lunch with them, her excuse was "sorry, 4 people only". "When I said take me to the moon, I never meant take me alone" I felt really left out and alone. The rest are--- eh, kinda ouch- I don't want to talk about it and I'm too lazy to type now, plus its 10 pm and I need to sleep lol.

This song reminds me when I fell for him before quarantine started and I denied my feelings because I was helping him get with my best friend and then times passes by he tells me he likes me. Then we would tell each other we loved eachother it felt like he loved me and that we were together . I was scared of getting heart broken so I friend zoned him and then November he told me was to me that he was actually dating my best friend because apparently my best friend loved him and she told me she dint love him and she knew I loved him and I confronted her and asked if she was dating anyone and she said no. Okay so I have 2 things on me:
1. I think I offended my friend REALLY bad because she told me to go to the family gc and to stay there, I think it was something I said and she said about her being ace. I literally didn’t act like it but I’m sobbing because I feel like I’ll lose her. I don’t wanna lose another friend.
2. I feel like my boyfriend and are being so distant, he barely texts me and when he does the convo is dry, I feel like he doesn’t love me anymore and that I’m just a mere person to him.

This reminds me of my dad. When I was little, I didn't realize the things he did weren't normal. He used to lock me in my room and not give me food or water, and beat me if I was caught outside my room. Now that I'm older, and I've come out as transgender and pansexual, it's gotten worse. He became more violent towards me. He's broken holes into the wall because he wanted to hit me, but he couldn't because my mother and older sister were there. Whenever they aren't home, he threatens me, he made me scared of people. I remember the fear I felt being locked away for days at a time. I'll hopefully be able to move out soon, but he might make me stay.
