My thoughts exactly. I'm sure she thoroughly enjoys playing the role of wicked stepmom. She isn't necessary on the show except to stir up drama. With that, I've no doubt they tolerate each other off season of the show, and all act a bit extra to keep the show going. I realize the substance abuse issue is real, though, it's not uncommon for post bariatric surgery patients to transfer food addiction to other areas if they don't follow up to keep the emotions that they bottled up in the first place, in check. From the look of June, she is swinging back in the emotional eating direction, so she likely has more past issues to deal with. It looks like Jennifer's weight is creeping back, too. So, I'd bet she is slacking on keeping her emotions in check too. Btw...I'm team Josh all the way. I'm sure he's not perfect, but he seems to try way more than the rest of them to be responsible. I wouldn't doubt if the producers set up the whole quitting the job and turning to Sugar bear thing just to make the last couple episodes more interesting.

Jennifer lived in June's old house, she had weight reduction surgery like June, she did the same swimsuit photo shoot & still couldn't beat June. My favorite is Jennifer putting down June's girls, but Jennifer's son is bigger than any of June's girls at their heaviest. I hope June & the girls come back for another season, just without Jennifer !

Nope. It's definitely completely scripted. Hilariously so. I bet they all get along just fine when they aren't filming. Though I do think the substance abuse issue is real. Unfortunately, it happens more often than people realize after bariatric surgery. People replace food addiction with drugs and alcohol, especially if they have emotional baggage they don't want to deal with. And on that note, I think there is more that June needs to deal with that she is denying, or at the very least, putting off, and the show is doing a great job enabling her. That's one thing I dislike about this show. Just because June is okay with her kids and her putting their life issues out there for the whole world to see just to get a $, doesn't mean it's good for them. Alanna looks bigger than ever, and as a child "star" she is a super big risk for mental health and addiction to follow her...not to mention the physical health issues she is definitely at risk for with her weight. She is a good kid, and going to have to be extra cautious these next few years.
