    how are we supposed to pass the ftmo challenge as a Swing Trader when the time period to passing the challenge is 30calendar days?

  • @speedy6392
    @speedy6392 4 ปีที่แล้ว +10

    you should make a video also looking at the same person's verification stage after just looking at their challenge stage to see the difference in style, lot sizes and patience overall and even look at both simulators, that's a pretty interesting idea for a video.

    I was not able to find the query on your website, let say after v=becoming FTMO trader, if I am not wrong there is no profit target so we just have to be with in the Max daily loss and Max loss range ?
    and what if i close two consecutive months in negative let see down -3% first month and -2% following month so after two months down -5% but still under with in the max loss. In this case also FTMO trader can continue trading with FTMO UNTIL -10% is breached?

    • @FTMOcom
      @FTMOcom  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, that is correct, since there is no Profit Target, you just have to stay within the Max Daily Loss limit and Max Loss limit. The example that you have provided is correct, you would be able to trade until you hit either the Max Loss or the Max Daily Loss (if you gained some profits).

    Hey @FTMO: Is it possible to do a statistical analysis of funded traders? f.e.:
    - How much they earn on average/median each month
    - The average winrate
    - The average r/r
    - The max payout
    - The average losing streak
    - ...
    A monthly review of this would be amazing.

    I got 50%WR and 2.0 RRR but i'm afraid i will not get sufficient frequency of signals from my system as I trade the 150m tf to make the edge work and reach 10% target in 30 days. Do I have to learn how to operate on smaller tfs as the 15M??

    When daily loss is close to 5%, is it not added to total loss even ? Max daily loss resets every day I understand this, but what loss occurred does it adds up to the max loss. For instance day1. 2% down and day2. 3 % down its not a violation on max daily loss but adds up to the total loss of 5% till the date correct ? There is no clear info on this on your site very superficial details have been posted there. I checked with one of your support team she explained like this. In this he is down almost 4% on specific day, and how did not this adds to max total loss.?

      Hi Real Baba,
      In the FTMO Challenge or Verification, you don’t need to. During these stages, you can keep your positions open overnight and over the weekend as well.
      However, once you become an FTMO Trader and manage an FTMO Account or FTMO Account Aggressive, we require you to close your positions just before the markets close for the weekend or if the rollover (market break) is longer than 2 hours. Our FTMO Traders having the FTMO Account or FTMO Account Aggressive must respect the market timings. Every asset class and its respective instruments might have different trading hours that have to be adhered to.

    Does the max loss limit reset each month for ftmo? Eg- if i’m in a deficit of 9% and decide to stop trading that month. When my next month begins will I only have 1% that i’m allowed to lose to make it 10%, or does that max loss counter reset?

    • @FTMOcom
      @FTMOcom  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Max Loss limit is set so you do not lose more than 10% of the account at any given time. So there is nothing to reset. On 100 000 USD FTMO Account, you can not go under 90 000 USD and it does not matter when. I hope that explains it. • @danteanastacio7526
    @danteanastacio7526 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    The first month of evaluation is tough. On average, professional traders and institution can achieve 2-5% per month. You are considered to be a forex/stock rockstar if you reach 10% or more/ month without losing 10% of your capital! If you are achieving 10% profit CONSISTENTLY and not losing 10% of the capital CONSISTENTLY... (10% profit and not exceeding 10% loss has to be maintained SIMULTANEOUSLY), take their challenge or else you will just lose your "challenge money".

    • @FTMOcom
      @FTMOcom  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hello Dante, we agree that it may be difficult to reach 10% Profit Target in 1 month, but for that reason there is a Free Repeat of the Challenge feature that is available to everyone who is able to meet all of the Trading Objectives but the Profit Target and is still in at least some profit. Also, there is only 5% Profit Target for the Verification phase.

      @@smozzer9449 their criteria is not only about achieving the profit. Maybe I am wrong but you also have to consider the minimum trades you will take, 10% maximum drawdown and other rules you have to follow. If you fail one of those criteria, you cannot repeat the challenge. You can check their website to know more about their rules and regulations. Regards

    I'll be joining your FTMO challenge in 2021 and I had a question before I enter: Can I hold a trade for a few days but close it on the weekends? Also, if we pass all the trading objectives but not pass the minimum trading days, can we still go into the verification step?

    • @FTMOcom
      @FTMOcom  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Valerie K,
      For the first question about holding the trade over the weekend we advise, that if you are interested in holding a specific trade over the weekend, just send a request to our FTMO Support Team. They will review your request and possibly allow it.
      For passing the FTMO Challenge you have to pass all Trading Objectives. Therefore, we advise that if you meet all Trading Objectives, for example in just 6 days, then just open a position with 0.01 lot on each of the rest of 4 days.
      Thank you for your question and feel free to ask anything else.

    What are the changes you are using? I feel like there needs to be some sort of swing account, where there is a higher daily loss limit because when your swinging you have multiple trades open for days and days and then a couple of trades dont go your way and bang your out of the challenge... this is only for day traders and scalpers and it's a shame

    • @FTMOcom
      @FTMOcom  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello Charlie, we certainly already have some swing traders. The majority is still mostly day traders, but there is no problem holding a position overnight during a business week and therefore some swing positions can be held. If we had higher Max Daily Loss limit, that would also mean that traders would risk more and lose more in the end. Also, we want to offer the same conditions to everyone and for that reason, we can not make exclusive conditions for some traders with different trading styles.

      We fund traders that are able to pass our evaluation process. We have set strict rules which have to be met and we are not evaluating trading systems on anything subjective. If you think that some of these traders can't trade, keep in mind that any trader is funded just after the Verification, when they achieved the Profit Target and managed the risk twice already. Of course this selection is not accurate 100% as there are some lucky exception, but that is the nature of this business, there is always SOME luck involved in trading.

      Many traders have been able to pass the evaluation process over and over again, so certainly it is possible! We consider the knowledge of the rules (Trading Objectives) and how they work the essential thing that will help you pass the Challenge. If you are in a need of the trading capital, FTMO is a great option for you - trading undercapitalized will lead to overtrading and taking too much risk, which is not the case with us.

    man all i see is traders on ftmo taking 100-200 trades a day . that's is just overkill it shows they arent sticking to proper strategy plan or risk management meaning they aggressively overtrade to get back to break even when in drawdown.this is definitely not the way to approach trading and ftmo.u should have a set trading plan with rules and stick to those rules only and use proper risk management so in the long run u will be consistently profitable.if u risk 1% per trade then u can take less than 20 trades in a month to reach the 10% profit target for ftmo challange.even with 0.5% u can still do it in less trades than 100-200 in a month.

      Hello, not a single reviewed trader in this video made over 100 trades in one day. Opened position that were shown in the Account Metrix under "Statistics" is for the entire period of the account. If you mean over 100 Trades in a month, that is still not the case for some traders, but ultimately it depends on the strategy that the trader wants to use. It is not unusual to see traders who execute even 1000 trades during the trading period. Our traders can use whatever strategy they find profitable as we do not want to restrict them in any way.
