Nature is a mixed bag depending on where you live, but it's good to hear the elements in Pennsylvania are cooperating for you. Ontario won't be far behind; the heat is starting to break. Your explanation for slowing yourself on the path to the query is making lots of sense. You want the best pairs of eyes on your project, and technically you paid money to get it. Sorry to hear you're being hit with Murphy's Law on the agents ... although if your query shortlist was overflowing to begin with, process of elimination is the bright side.
Yeah I'm personally loving it and I'll take it as long as it gets (I love fall, don't get me wrong, but the winter is brutal and sad so I'm not ready for it to be here lol) And thank you, I feel more confident about slowing down and getting my money's worth in feedback lol I'm sure the agent list will work out, but what a bummer that those awesome agents aren't fully on board with my masterpiece lol
i'm looking forward to your critique with stephen!! i've been thinking the same for myself on focusing on play and being outside, and if that means deprioritizing writing, then so be it :)
I can't wait for it, I'm excited to see what he'll think and what changes I can make :) (also can't wait to have a physical copy of your poem, so if we ever meet in person you'll have to sign the book!!) I'm glad you're also in the same boat as me! It can be SO hard to deprioritize writing when it's a goal to be published, but sometimes we just need to do what's best for our mental health and happiness!
I'm so honored you would ask me to read your work! I'm not sure what you're timeline is but I know for certain I won't be able to look at it this year (I am finishing my own novel and I already committed to 3 other works to read and give feedback to by the end of the year; with a full time job I know that that's likely already overextending myself). If you're looking to get someone to read now, I would recommend trying Reddit r/PubTips or jump in a writing discord (like mine) and see who might be available and willing to read! :)
Guys I've never done a GRWM before so please forgive me for not sharing my final look 😂😂
Great video ❤ lots of thoughts and feelings in the writer process, no matter one’s individual journey.
agreed! thank you for watching :)
