I love Xmas shopping and i went to Target and bought $200 worth of clothes for teens and donated them. It was fun to buy the trendy clothes scratch that shopping itch, help others and get the tax right off without bringing anything home - and staying minimal.
This was great. I have really been considering doing a podcast. I don't want to do it to be famous or make money but to just share my knowledge without all the product promotion. But just simple and valuable information.
DH came up with the idea of putting the equivalent amount of money in his low-fee mass-index mutual fund whenever he's noticed that he's wasted a bunch of time shopping for something online and become tempted to buy it. Libraries are great for this, too - pick up any book (or DVD!) that catches your interest at no extra cost and return it when the "acquisition high" fades
I almost stopped by Bandit when we were in St. Pete. I can't wait for the restaurant component. I'll make sure to drop in when I visit next week! BTW great episode!
I dislike this episode very much. I love all their content (Matt and the Minimalists individually and their documentaries). I strongly disagree that every Wedding videographer sucks. I’m a wedding videographer and even if I do stink, which many I’m sure can see it that way, I love it. “Wow, I actually get to shoot weddings as I start a video production company and see how I can create stories”. Just because someone starts out at Wedding videography, doesn’t mean they don’t love what they do. I’ve loved all the podcasts (281 and downward as I have been listening continuously, this one is one I definitely strongly dislike). I think by saying that you are demeaning work people truly value. Not sure if that’s what you meant to say, but it struck me that way. Those are my opinions however, just as you have shared your opinions. I respect the work you’ve created and this podcast episode. I strongly disagree with that stretch of information.
I'll be honest I thought it was a little weird we had to record with our pants off but if that's what the other guests did I guess it's okay.
