    Sold me on LT knives with the hero! That's awesome that they did that. I have many hobbies that take up to much of my money but I'd like to do more camping next summer so I've been researching knives and LT was a company I was looking at. I'm a army veteran myself so I like supporting companies that support veterans and the fact that they made a knife like that specifically for disabled veterans blows me away. My next fixed blade WILL be a LT. Thank you LT for doing that!!

    H.E.R.O. as soon as she said that i was sold. That is awesome. I love companies who actually care.

    I've been trying to get a SOSPES knife for a few years now!
    I guess LT is no longer making these most awesome Tarzan-type knives anymore, which is a real knife industry shame, in my opinion!
    People that are hopeful of purchasing a SOSPES need to let LT know it, and maybe he'll bring this beauty back into production for his fans.
    Just looking at a SOSPES knife makes me feel like knife fighting an alligator! ( I REALLY NEED A SOSPES!)

    Lt is the current day ultimate woods knife maker. I know this is filmed several yrs bk things within the co has changed since but the quality of knife making only shines brighter. The HERO knife will be my 4th purchase from Lt. It has all that I believe we as Americans need to be doing,,,giving bk to our vets and wounded warriors. Will you are a fine example of the woodman that lives in me. The S named knife you and Lt came up with is on my have to haves list also. Saber and if I was at a grind in I’d work the edge to a thinner apex.

    I just bought my first L.T. Wright knife. a GNS Scandi, and this is so cool to see the birthplace of my blade. It's almost like watching my own knife being made. !

      Yep, same here but went with the Forest Trail, A2, saber along with a Next Gen, A2, flat grind for EDC. Love both. Very cool to see the steps taken and care given to each procedure. Well done Will and thank you L.T.

    It's so cool to see the guy who puts the stamps on the blade of my GNS Scandi....and to see how he creates the different grinds of each knife. It may be that the steel isn't forged in-house...but the fit and finish absolutely IS in-house!! Good work, guys!!

    Great videos man i learn alot from them. My question is how does the GNS compare to your pathfinder? Or how does it compare to the canteen shop BHK? Have you used or seen the canteen shop BHK? If so what is your opinion on it. I am trying to choose between the canteen shop BHK and the GNS. Thanks man.

    Hmm. Im curious about something. When he was sanding that metal (The knife) he was not quenching it as he was sanding it. You can see it was turning blue which is indicating its getting very hot. I wonder if this messes with the metal or not. I'm sure its ok but, the tradesman in me wanted to ask.

    William, not trying to be a downer here, and not taking anything away from L.T. Wright knives, they do make some nice knives. But a handcrafted knife isnt a water jet cut blank, or ground with a jig, and its heat treated out of house. There are plenty of knife makers out here that make hand crafted knives. Just saying, its very demoralizing to us handcrafted knife makers when people see this and think its hand crafted.

      I’m a knife maker and I specifically forge knives and these knives are definitely hand crafted. Carful thought and consideration are taken into these knife to produce something repeatable but to say these knives aren’t hand crafted is false

      Bobby do you smelt your own knife steel from ore?

    • @moredankmemes3755
      @moredankmemes3755 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@airtioteclint plebs. I mine my own iron ore in addition to refining it into steel. I carefully harvest carbon to add from only the highest quality sources. Then and only then, do I grind my knife, but only with rocks that I collect myself that have enough grit to grind metal. Further more, I use my feet to grind, as hands are cheating because they are too coordinated, and thus not truly hand crafted. I only make 2 a year so that they're not mass produced. Get on my level.

    • @airtioteclint
      @airtioteclint 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@moredankmemes3755 same. But I also grow my own scales. When people ask, I just tell them it's deer antlers because human antlers sounds weird.

    William ? ... A lot of effort went into this video (both you and LTW) and you
    posted this vid way back in December and it has yet to attain 5K views ...
    ... The LTW-GNS has received a lot more "press" (exposure), even since December ...
    I think it is time for Chris to post and promote this vid on PM101 and YOU should also revert the status of this vid to "PRIVATE" and, then, RE-PUBLISH it as Public ... You will not lose any of your views-count or any other stats by doing this but the YT system bots will re-feed this video to your subs and it will re-assign "RELATED" vids and links ... Just saying ... This vid was published just a little before it's time and NOW would be a good time to roll it back out.

    Hmmmmm, seems to me that this vid should be called LT. Wright hand "assembled" knives. Not much crafting going on there.
