  • Panchang, or the Hindu almanac, is an ancient method of timekeeping. It has 5 main components: Tithi, Yoga, Karana, Nakshatra and Vaar. Other than being a calendar, it is used in astronomy, astrology and locating the positions of planets and stars. Please join us in understanding the mathematics underlying the Panchang, including the differences in the sidereal and tropical years.
