I own quite a few fountain pens: I use them for Italic calligraphy, Italic handwriting, and daily writing. It's difficult for me to choose a favorite. For calligraphy I would say my Visconti Rembrandt which has a 1.5 mm nib that's lovely. For Italic handwriting I would say a Jinhao x450 in which I've placed a 1.1 mm Jowo nib. For everyday writing I'm really enjoying my Platinum Cool with a fine nib; it has a springiness to it that's really fun to work with, and it's comfortable in my hand for long writing sessions.
Every day I carry 2 Lamy Studios. One with blue black ink and a medium nib, the other with brown ink and a 1.5 mm blunt nib. I use the one with the blunt nib for my every day writing and I usually receive compliments on my hand writing. That blunt nib just gives the letters a little extra punch with very little effort on my part.
Thank you . If I could give two thumbs up, I would. I'm one month into buying pens and relearning to write in cursive. You've inspired me and crushed me at the same time.🤣🤣🤣 Thank you again. It's Sooo beautiful. Leo 🦁
Probably my all-time favorite FP is my vintage Eversharp Skyline demi with a 14k flexible gold nib. I can write copperplate on the fly... nobody can believe it, they all want to know where they can get one. Like a lot of my Esterbrooks too. And this circa 1938 Pilot fountain pen I found for a dollar at a yard sale... just a steel nib, but it writes almost as nicely as the Eversharp! Love watching these compilations; I now have about 50 ways to write every letter of the alphabet!
Please remember to only apply such pressure as seen in the first clip if your fountain pen has a flex nib, otherwise you may risk damaging the pen either immediately or in the long term.
Emy ok I stand corrected. I know very little about stipula. The nib uses the same principle as noodler’s with the split in tines extending to the section. Looking at some detailed pictures online, it seems the stipula nib has more tipping than my noodler’s. Thank you for your response.
Recently purchased two Helix Oxford Fountain Pens from Amazon UK for £4.00 each. These are amazing for the price. They work well with a Waterman cartridge inside. I have a Mont Blanc, too.
So much respect is shown to the craft! Your spacing and angles are so to the T. Hands down MY most favorite calligraphy video. Much respect and thank you. (:
I love this. I'm hooked. I only have one little tiny complaint. It seems that you speed up some of the different styles so that I can't see the strokes. I hope that makes sense. But I still subscribed. I will probably binge on it later. 😂 ✌🏻🥰🎄
Great Fountain Pen calligraphy masters! Very relaxing to watch and very inspiring. The flow of the ink surely has healing powers, magic powers even! The pen is mightier than the sword indeed! 😍✒💖🖋
A nice commenter has answered a question that many have asked here... Thank you! "What pens are used here?"... 23DarkSoulsHunterRoad 1 year ago "I noticed a mix, Visconti (says on the nib). Jinhao? (Not sure if was this one of these), Sailor, (the ones which have same logo as 2:40- including the one before are Faber-Castell), 5:06 is ferris wheel press, Kaweco sport is written, the last one is a Pelikan (looks like m800 series- not sure though). Most of these have Broad or double broad nibs to get more ink flow (BB) or are given characteristics like oblique/ cursive through 'grinding' the nib from a specialist. One can never have enough fountain pens though, there's just too many that look good and are well known. I'm currently on the hunt for a decent demonstrator- too many options now. Hope you find what your looking for!"

Amazing writing . I love fountain pens and have a bunch of collection already. I like italic nibs and fine point nibs. Beautiful hands and styles here and thanks for the share.
The way that you are pressing on your tines at that angle. Isn't it recommended to press the tines straight unlike the way you are doing it pressing hard at an angle? Or Is it the angle of the camera? Doesn't it damage the nib long term? And I love your writing
Just starting out and am spending more on inks than on fountain pens. Current brands I enjoy are Penbbs and Moonman, they are Chinese however they write really nice and a great way to learn before making that xxx € purchase. Greetings from Germany.

It is nice to see good handwriting that is coming from regular kugel nibs. Italic and flex nibs are only half of the story, you have to be able to write nicely first
Its easy, you need practice and eventually will be able to write like this. Not so sure you can in classroom. When i was like ten my school teacher discouraged me from writing like this. As time goes by you will perfect your skill and have your own unique style also.

At 01:29 can anyone tell exactly the pen ink and type was. I love that gradient like effect.
Looks to be a Nakaya or some sort of urushi pen. I could be wrong there. The ink is most likely Pilot Iroshizuku Kon-Peki.
The pen is a newton pens eastman, the ink is a waterman inspired blue
