    forgot to mention: since this tutorial is so long i didn’t take as much time to explain each exercise in depth, i more so just go into each exercises, so you guys can just follow along with the video and have a nice intense warmup routine!
    hope you guys enjoyed the tutorial!

    I started rhythmic gymnastics in 2013 and quit in 2017 because I had depression and some problems. I would love to go back now with 21 but I’m not a child anymore lol 😢 and I don’t have as much flexibility like I had back then:( I kinda want to start practicing flexibility again but at home and this video is really good so thanks

      so sorry to her about the experience you had in the sport, but it's never to late to start stretching again if you want to try to get back into it. hope this video can be of some use

    i was a gymnast for several years when i was younger, from 6 to 14 i think. i was too self conscious to compete and my fears made me give it up completely. when i stopped, my passion for the sport did never leave me, and here i am at 26 years old still as passionate as the first day at the sports hall 20 years ago. i lost all my flexibility after literally 12 years without doing it, but 2 months ago i decided i was determined to get my flexibility back and i did it. i saw your video long ago and i though it was pretty sad that i once did this eveyrday without getting tired, and while watching the video i coulnd't even dream of getting in those positions. but yes today i am doing this again every day and i am extremely happy. it is NOT impossible to get back on track, even after 12 years. all this to say thank you for the video, it is very usefyl :)

      wow this is beautiful, tysm for sharing ❤❤
      i've also been losing a lot of my flexibility lately and have been going through a similar experience as you just described. so glad to hear you've been able to reconnect with the sport and are able to keep up with your stretching, it's given me hope that i can do the same

    How much would you recommend people to do this routine in a week?

    • @SophieCrane
      @SophieCrane  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      i’d say 3-4 times a week would be good, but definitely focus on long term consistency vs doing it as often as possible in a short period of time

    Hey sorry this is a late comment so dunno if you'll see this and reply but how did you build up to getting enough strength to do all these exercises cuz this is a pretty intense routine!! Love you❤

    • @SophieCrane
      @SophieCrane  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      i agree this is a pretty intense warm up routine! but over time it'll become more manageable. start by following along to the best of your abilities, maybe with less reps or longer breaks as necessary. and keep pushing yourself to do a little more each time. my teammates and i definitely were not able to do this entire routine in the beginning, but we eventually got used to it and it became our go-to warmup for a good few months :) hope this helps!

    I have a question, do u ever have a training that u specifically work on balance / turns or do u just do warm up and routines ( if u do how many times )

    • @SophieCrane
      @SophieCrane  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      usually during summer camps and off seasons we will take more time to focus on body difficulties. i’d say almost every day we’re taking a good chunk out of the training to do body difficulties. we will still do some body difficulty work in our warmup during comp season, but it’s usually more rushed since the focus at that time is routines. maybe once or twice a week we will do some turns in the centre or do some longer lines :)

    I have a question 🙋🏻‍♀️ is this the exact warm up you used to do when you did rg?❤❤❤

    • @SophieCrane
      @SophieCrane  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      it is!! our warmup would change every couple months or so but this is the exact warmup i was following for the last couple months up until i retired :)

    Do you know how I can get hyper extension??

    • @SophieCrane
      @SophieCrane  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      i would suggest aiming for proper extensions first, as hyperextensions are less natural and therefore a little more dangerous. as someone who has been trying to improve my own extensions for a longggg time, i would recommend very simple movements that have you really focusing on those extensions (such as sitting on the floor and just straightening your knees to bring your heels off the floor). and then once you know the feeling of the extensions, try to apply that to your routines/more complex movements. it's definitely easier said than done, but hope this helps :)

    not to be rude or anything but maybe put more stretches before splits?

    • @SophieCrane
      @SophieCrane  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yeah you could definitely include more stretches before splits as necessary, this is just what worked for me. will definitely keep in mind for future tutorials though, thanks :)
