Watching your disappointment knowing that the customer is facing further bills, is quite heart warming. Most business owners would be rubbing their hands together at the thought of being able to charge the customer for a more substantial repair. Glad you took the time to remind viewers of the microscopic nature of modern electronics, I get frustrated with commenters who have no idea of how miniscule components are and the tiny tolerances you work within. Great job, I feel quite honoured that you allow me (us all) into your workshop and your business this way.
Oh wow, I actually use those same foam swabs! I first discovered them when I was watching a motherboard repair video and he explained that he uses foam because the cotton fibers can get stuck on jagged solder joints sometimes and could possibly rip pads off! Of course as you found in this video they also don't leave fibers on the board after cleaning.
I think one of the reasons customers try to do a DIY repair, other than to save money, is because they watch professionals like yourself make it look so easy. It's rather naïve of them, maybe a warning message before you show your work might help to discourage people.
If I had a screen in stock I'd offer to do a replacement, or I'd offer to do data recovery, but I keep the screen when it's all done. It's unfortunate when there's damage beyond what the customer has explained... it happens. Great job

Nice video, fast repair. I think people who doesnt have the knowledge shouldnt try to repair things like that. As you said, customer had to pay more at the end to get it fixed as it would cost from the beginning when you would fix it for him. But thats human being and thinking, it looks easy and you „could“ save money if you fix it by yourself. Btw i know that swaps, they are really good. Maybe you should use them

He's already made a video about hiring-- you better know your stuff because otherwise you will only be a burden on his livelihood. If you aren't already able to do the repairs just as good if not better than him, doesn't seem like you will be a good fit. On the other hand, if you're as good as him, you might as well advertise and run your own business
Yeah great different of cleaning the board with the new sticks. You don’t clean the iron ever ? You always say leave a message if you have any questions, but you respond barely.
He tries to, just imagine how hard it is to work all day on the shop, edit the videos, post the videos, add family life to it ... you have barely 5 minutes for yourself

Those Q-Tips the viewer mailed in looked superb - they look like the equivalent of clean room wipes on a plastic stick.
They are meant exactly for that purpose ;) Hence the price difference xD
Thanks for everything you do and show us in your videos! I learned a lot and I am still learning from your work, sir :)

Those are lint-free foam swabs, usually good for inkjet printheads and optical lenses. That's a great gift! 👍

Lets take a scenario where customer comes back saying you broke the screen. How would you handle that?
This is where you take your money for the repair you did and you fire the customer.
