This is the best rugby pundit show on the net, Jim humour and willingness to be the butt of a joke is brilliant
He was a very passionate player who did a great job. But he was never near a lions jersey. He made Scotland pack competitive for years.
Did anyone making comments ever play pro rugby. Jim may not have been the greatest player but he had heart and that’s what you need on tour.
I doubt anyone played pro rugby. However, I missed the memo where that was a prerequisite to have an opinion.

Jims got that wrong it was an epic quarter-final game after being out for nearly a year from Paul O' Connell that against Quins that put him back in the mix. It was so good the media took the piss out of it in Ireland at the time.

I'll never forget it. He'd been out fucking ages, I think with a pubic bone infection that just wouldn't clear. Probably lengthened his career a bit that injury because it gave him time to rest and heal everything else. But he looked like a man at his peak that day. Didn't just play brilliantly himself, he lifted the whole team.
Ha ha ha... he comes across like one of those blokes that sit at the end of bars in dodgy pubs, claiming to have been in the SAS, when their military career actually peaked at army cadets. Jim was never going to be a British Lion. Not even a midweek reserve.
