True, very true. Just imagine how great it would look if it were the size of the supercars like the sian but with a slightly larger body and not to mention the great off road tires it could have.

This is probably very easy to do: make that the front and rear axles can move freely, and out a rubber band.

I can’t wait to build this with my 5 year old nephew. For the past two years we have been building matching Grave Digger Halloween costumes. Hopefully this year we will be inspired by this set to finally finish them! Although even my nephew says he wishes the tires were the tractor tires
I used to hate the pullbacks, but over the past two years, they have become my favorite sets.

Lots of nostalgia with this one. I remember going to see a monster jam show with my dad when I was really young, this design is still probably my favorite of the trucks.

Yes. Very nice. I was a huge fan of Monster stucks when I was little. I even make lego moster trucks. That are remote control
It looks absolutely stunning just as a cool pull back 4x4 vehicle for awesome stunts, but doesn't work that well as a replica vehicle but I hold it at a passable level.

I remember playing a monster jam game on my DS as a kid and seeing these set give me a sense and of joy I didn’t know I could have, even if they’re pretty small and oriented for younger audiences.(not a bad thing.)

Im so glad lego got the monster jam license, I was tired of Knex having it because that brand doesnt sell in my country lol
Same I’m a die hard Lego and Monster Jan fanatic so to find out Lego actually got the license is a dream come true. And I can’t wait to see what trucks they add to the line in the future. Kinda wish I knew they existed before Christmas tho lol.
I"m surprised that they didn't do this in the mid-hue green colour, the same one that they used for the 24-hour Race Car, since it seems closer in colour to the real thing. I am truly loving this start-of-year wave for 2021 though!
Also a missed opportunity to introduce some new glow-in-the-dark stickers on the side. (Ok, well, maybe they are not that way on the real thing, but just imagine how cool that would look.)

That wheel in lime is came already in 2016 with 42047.
Honestly, if I get one of these 2 pull back sets, I'm not going to apply the stickers, because they just aren't something I'd want to look at that much.
Who else thinks that the smaller sets in this year have many good pieces?
I think that the lime small wheel rim already exists. I have that police one (42047) and it looks very similar.

Finally some Lego technic sets i really like this year. Don't get me wrong I although like the 50 bucks sets, but they are to expensive for what they are.
Here both monster truck sets have a great playability and pricing for what they are supposed to be. Playsets for kids and for this they seem perfect 👌.
Could they look more like the real trucks, probably but hey 14-20 dollars/euros is totally worth this sets

I guess the reason for smooth tyres is, that at high speeds tractor tyres end up losing contact with floor and the pullback mechanism will discharge its energy in the air...
It would be better to have a Lego car in the set as well to run it over with the monster truck. Merry Christmas everybody.
The B-models for this and 42119 look better than A's, imho.

I was really expecting a working suspension from this. Kinda makes no sense unless you really like the look of it I guess.
My 11 yr old doesn't care its not a more accurate build, he still wants it.
