Honestly, just my opinion, I think he would have been better off at Purdue or Indiana. Indiana is a basketball state, we take care of our own here. His brand is huge here, which is good for him and his family. If he doesn't perform or gets hurt at Uconn, he won't have the support he would have here in state. Might sound like sour grapes but it is reality. He could have gone pro at either school.
I highly doubt that Mullins feels slighted by Indiana U. I think he's probably explaining his choice only because there is so much pressure for him to stay home and play in his home state for the Indiana Hoosiers
