Thank you so much for this video. It’s the first one I found, showing step by step from begging to end.. one question.. why all the different layers? Sorry I am new to the procreate app I downloaded it yesterday.. And please make more videos like this? 😊
Hello! And congrats on getting Procreate 😃 What we did in this video was actually quite simple and probably didn’t require multiple layers - however I like being able to come back and edit every part of my design when I need it. For example if I change my mind and want to use a different font etc, this can be done if each part of the design is kept on its own layer :) But totally not absolutely necessary! You can draw it all on the same layer
Hello! I usually design all my inserts within the same app where I design the planner (Keynote). They are not usually transparent but I make them blend in well with the design :) You can create transparent inserts in Procreate! Just make sure to turn off the background before exporting, as PNG
Just catching up on watching your videos ☺️ I’ve been using Procreate for about a year and a half but there’s always something new to learn 😄 I noticed the resolution you use is 132 dpi. Is that high enough since the stickers are only going to be used in GN? Am I wasting space on my iPad by making stickers at 300 dpi? 🤔 I had no idea you could make stickers on separate layers and save them as you go. That’s brilliant 😄 Thanks again for the excellent tutorial, Isa ✨💖✨
Ok that’s an excellent point I didn’t even mention. Yes I’ve found if they’re used only for digital planning, if they will stay small in size then that resolution works. If you have a ton of space on your iPad then you can do 300dpi why not. To me it honestly depends on which designs I’m making. If it’s my masterpiece that takes me 3 days to complete I’ll probably use a bigger canvas / resolution size, but for ‘simpler’ stickers I do lower :)
@@PrintStick Thanks, Isa 👍🏻 I don’t have a lot of storage so I think I’ll start using a lower resolution for whatever I create for my digital planner. I just opened Procreate and figured out how to reduce the dpi of artwork I created at 300. It seems to look fine although I didn’t paste it into GN yet.
Loved the video. You are so proficient at procreate, it moves so fast! I need to go back and do tutorials on procreate!

Thank you for all the tips....How do you make your inserts (forms) for your planners transparent? Thanks so much for your help!
