I make my bait the afternoon before wrap it up in tin foil make it like hamburger patties real flat and put in a freezer they'll stay longer in the water because they'll slowly dissolve works great and I use Manhattan milk in my mixture
I want to try catching shrimp I live just a half mile from choctawhatchee Bay and Santa Rosa sound. Only couple times a year do I see shrimp boats in the bayou, we've had a low mullet harvest, an Old Roy at The Salty Bass says the salinity is low in the bay this year. I wonder if that would affect the shrimp.
@@ReelHazardous is it messy on the bottom by the pier because of construction? I thought it was closed. It’s been VERY spotty around the Shands pier and bridge from the boat. Good size but a lot of work!
We haven't done much shrimping this year because the reports were slow. When they are running though you can catch then from land by Ortega railroad bridge.
Should have put some bait ball's on in your trap if you have an old pantyhose put them in that little let him slowly dissolve I have shrinks shrimp traps and that's what I do

I think the salinity does play a big role. When we get a lot of rain during shrimping season it seems to hurt us quite a bit.

Yeah. If your not in a boat you can catch shrimp from shore at night.
