Truman's 2nd verse is absolutely INSANE. Him directing his attention from Red Guy to the execs was such a smooth transition. This battle was definitely worth the wait, easily my favorite one so far.
One thing I noticed is that Truman rarely ever looks directly at the camera in his first verse and looks off to the side at Red Guy instead since he doesn't know he's being filmed yet. I don't know if that was intentional but that's such an awesome detail!
Whoever did this costume design should get a fucking award. The costume designs of the dhmis characters are phenomenal. And I Truman's second verse visuals. Everything here is put together amazingly. Dhmis won.

I love how Lawless appeared two times in the same shot when Truman invades the set, that's a funny detail XD
Absolutely brilliant. The second Truman verse is some of the best cinematography I have ever seen in any rap battle. Everything here is charming and full of passion. I absolutely love it. Outstanding job

To start, I'm really happy you matched the DHMIS crew with an opponent that makes thematic sense rather than just some other mascot/internet horror character. Also Red Guy's second verse is just fantastic. My favorite part is the end of it, since "Cause I'm the top dog." "He's Grolton you're Hovris" is such a good double meaning. Since Yellow Guy thinks Grolton is the dog Hovris is the man, he's affirming that Red Guy is the "top dog", but because in reality Grolton is the man and Hovris is the dog, he's also calling Truman the lesser (the dog) and Red Guy the superior (the man). Its really clever and made me smile the first time I heard it. I know I'm kind of overexplaining it but its so cool to see how far you guys have come and I wanted to thank you for doing justice to this battle concept. God bless!
This is probably one of my favorite battle of yours. From the voices, the roasts, the behind the scenes people at the beginning, the freaking brown- lit line because green is not a creative color is all blended together perfectly.
The way Truman in the second verse searches for the way to the crew and breaks everything, including the fourth wall, when he gets there, just brilliantly! Amazing battle!🤩
the camera in Truman’s 1st verse mimicking the way the movie is shot is absolutely brilliant i loved this battle so much from just the audio and the video did not disappoint
Damn. Props to Isaac Moore for an amazing lipsync. It's so good that I can't really distiguish it from normal rapping. Mouth movement is great, expressions are great. Good job!
Truman literally stole the show, I listened to this beforehand whenever I was doing chores around my house, but now seeing the actual battle made me hyped beyond belief
YES! IT’S HERE! Did not disappoint. Truman gets my vote for this battle for both “You managed to reel in an audience younger than Sesame Street’s is” and “Seems like they shut it off like they did to your show when the Queen deceased.”
Probably the most meta Freshy battle and I'm all here for it! I've been so hyped for this one ever since the winter album and you guys definitely delivered. It was extremely close but I gotta give it to Truman, he went ballistic in that final verse.
Even if trumans dad didnt die, "Hey, I think that he mightve drowned" is still such a good reference. And the green in green lit being censored is also really good. Red guy saying "everywhere". Roy in the background at 2:25. I could go on for ages about this. I absolutely love everything about this
This has been my favorite battle from the album since it came out! Y'all did so well. Both did extremely well but Red Guy definitely wins this one for me. Love all the meta jokes and references :)
Honestly, I was super intrigued to see how this rap would turn out, but by the end of it, I was just entertained and impressed by how well this rap battle captured the spirit of both Don't Hug Me I'm Scared and The Truman Show. Amazing work, as always. Always looking forward to seeing what you manage to do with the next Rap Battle

I remember hearing this in the Winter Collection it was part of (via JosiahGAmesTV’s reaction), and this video did not disappoint. For who I thought won, I will give it to Team Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared (consisting of mostly the Red Guy, but fully it’s to the DHMIS cast involved in the rap battle), although I see the closeness in this, which I like. Good job and I look forward to the next rap battle in the catalog.
I am in awe at this one. I have not seen either of these, but holy shit this might be my new favorite battle of the year. Unbelievable. I don't get a credit, why, because I skipped out on almost the entirety of this shoot to hang out with Shwabadi? And only held the camera for like a second on one day? Oh, ok, yeah makes sense. Absolutely love how this came out, the DHMIS shots are SO clean.
Damn. The beat was fresh and another great battle. The raps were tight especially with the line "Wow, even my voice has better range." Red guy and the crew got this win definitely but the ending was also amazing. Keep up the great work Freshy Kanal.
The costume was made so incredibly well, I wouldn’t be surprised if the creators would buy it from you as a replacement if the original one was destroyed. The voice is absolutely incredible as well, simply on point along with the rapping. I remember seeing this on my recommended and skipping it and after a bit of time i went to it just to figure out how much of a masterpiece this is.
This has genuinely blown me away. The set of DHMIS absolutely insane. It feels like a genuine Collab with the original DHMIS. The voices and the characters look amazing. Truman's lines are absolutely amazing too! This is so well done I'm so surprised. The line "Seems like they shut it off, like they did to your show when the Queen deceased" is SO GOOD!. I love how you used the infamous greeting "Good morning, and in case I don't see ya, good afternoon, good evening, and good night!" but flipped it here😁
Of all the new songs from the Winter Album, this one was my favorite. And oh boy the Music video did not disappoint... Both sides are represented so damn well. I'll say it again, of every rap battle featuring DHMIS... this is the best one. Because the essence of DHMIS is captured so damn well here. Not only in terms of video, but also in the audio too. Like... that whole second verse with them feels like something directly pulled out of the show/series... all the way down to the teacher that doesn't know what he's talking about. And all the subtle references to the actual series are pretty nice as well. I also love the 4th-Wall break with Truman, and the scene of him fucking up the recording session. You all definitely went all out with the meta-aspect of both and it really paid off. I also love the fact for the album-art, it looks like you took a screenshot off of the editing soft-ware you made it with. Just a cute little detail. The beat you chose for this is... also fits the Rap Battle so damn well too. Having that Old-TV feel that feels authentic for both sides. Overall, REALLY good job on this one.
1:16 it JUST clicked for me that the magazine line is about how Truman tried using ripped up magazines to recreate the face of his first love after she was taken off set that’s clever!
When the red guy said "Oh, it's Carrey as the only character he ever plays?" I remembered that Jim Carrey stated that the reason he played Truman was because he didn't want to be known as an actor who only does comedic acts
After having watched Truman Show recently, I can really appreciate some of the bars a bit more, notably the "Stop trying to raise it and give it up. Like Truman's mum!" Bit, like, OUCH. Very nice.
So many good details. Truman in the first not looking directly in the camera because he doesn’t know he’s being filmed yet. Instead of “greenlit” he said “brownlit” because green isn’t a creative color. This is awsome
This was my most anticipated rap battle from your winter album and I'm so happy for it's music video release, especially since it's live action. The direction, acting and voices are all great.
At 1:30 I was confused what Red Guy was wearing but then I realized something...it's a camera *because that's the only time Truman is looking into the camera in the first verse*
I love the idea that Truemen only found out his life was a lie because they tried to make him dis a horror edition sesame street character with raps and didn't think of the implications.
Fun detail that i hope was intentional : The Dad's ID saying he had drowned was alive, unlike Duck's ID in the Death episode, which was dead. It was probably a nod to the fact Truman's Dad never drowned and was very much still alive
This is such a good rap battle, I love this so much. Truman’s cinematography in verse 2 is also phenomenal Also my homie Red Guy’s little jig in his first verse is precious
When the disk is explaining how to Rap, he says to stay on beat, and at the same time he himself is NOT staying on beat (he's syncopating). I thought that was clever :)
This battle came way out of left field yet despite being a suprise match up it's one of the most well made from a technical stand point and bloody enjoyable. Keep up the great work mate with the battles and can't wait to see what other suprise battles you come up with 👍.

Who do you reckon won? I've only watched half of The Truman Show but I have yet to consume any media regarding Don't Hug Me I'm Scared.
@@ronald_mcvadont hug me im scared is free on youtube in case you didnt know
OMG OMG THIS WAS AMAZING!! I’m gonna have bruises from banging my leg in excitement and joy the whole way through
I love how this plays like a rap battle, an episode of DHMIS and a scene from the Truman Show- excellent job!
At 1:30 I was confused what Red Guy was wearing but then I realized something...it's a camera
*because that's the only time Truman is looking into the camera in the first verse*
Wait I never realized
@@radishstew right?!
I love the idea that Truemen only found out his life was a lie because they tried to make him dis a horror edition sesame street character with raps and didn't think of the implications.
Why does it feel like whenever we think freshy has peaked in production and raps he just goes even higher? Good job man
That was shockingly well done. Damn.
I have no words
This was just one of the most creative rap battles I’ve seen
Fun detail that i hope was intentional : The Dad's ID saying he had drowned was alive, unlike Duck's ID in the Death episode, which was dead. It was probably a nod to the fact Truman's Dad never drowned and was very much still alive
now THIS is a battle i didn't expect lmao (both sides did so well!)
This is such a good rap battle, I love this so much. Truman’s cinematography in verse 2 is also phenomenal
Also my homie Red Guy’s little jig in his first verse is precious
man that was great, massive props to all of you, the whole team really came together for this!
dude the cameos went crazy! I knew this shit would pop off with connor and mcgwire casually showing up for the intro!
I never knew I needed truman in a battle until I saw this pop up. Another freshy banger
An outstanding battle, I’m absolutely in love with the new direction you’re taking rap battles in. Love the story element, it really sets it apart from the rest!
« Seems they shut it off, life they did to your show when the queen deceased » is such a amazing line that makes me vote truman
What about all of the disses aimed directly at Truman Show
1:43-1:52 Does anyone think that THIS BEAT -thought its in an ad- is like the CATCHIEST on all the rap battle? It litterally gets stucked in your head, so CATCHY!
This is so unique and amazing. Truman entering the show room was such a nice idea! Great work as always
I felt BAD for Red Guy when he took off his mask at the end! He did NOT deserve that level of disrespect!
I like to think he just up and left, as he said, "Now I'm walking out, don't try to hold me hostage." And the guy in the Red Guy suit was just some replacement guy. The show must go on after all.
RIP to the intern at the end who was told to "keep it going" and "cut to outro" in the same breath, aka, "any problems were now your fault" 💀.
This is freaking amazing bro holy shit! It’s so good as a rap, but so smart as a matchup and how it’s preformed
The costumes deserve a GODDAMN Emmy Award. Great job once again. Also can we get The DOOM Slayer Vs Master Chief and a Godzilla rap battle please?
the production on this is actually so good. i'm so impressed by it
