I believe Spanish release clauses still have to be cashed in by the player, which means they're effectively 50% higher than they look due to taxes the player has to pay on that money. Also, he's on 200k euro a week as is. He'll probably want a sign on fee, he'll probably want a wage bump, and then there's agent money on top. Suppose Neto costs 40 mil, he's still only on 40k a week or so. Bump him to 100-150, that ought to do it. But the real issue here is creating squad space, IMO. We have Madueke, Mudryk, Sterling, Palmer and we'll soon have Estevao, Paez, and Tyrique. And both Palmer and Madueke are actually pretty good, and Mudryk and Sterling are near impossible to move, and both Estevao and Paez look like Hazards in the making. The kind of talents you just do not want to screw up. Tyrique doesn't look half bad either.
I think being demoted down to the conference league is perfect for our structure and plan. We can play our first team to pish for top 4 and fa cup run and use the kids being signed to gain some good experience in the carabao cup n against the farmers in Europe. Its better than a strasbourg loan

Height alone doesn't buy you lunch in the Prem but players do need to be able to stay upright to make things work. Remember Salah when he played for us versus when he came back from Roma.
I'm sure they can play on the left but they sure haven't done it a whole lot. As far as right winger and goal scorer, well, that's literally what Palmer is, isn't it? The way I see it, we really just need to get past this season and get to next season so we can see where Estevao takes us. No reason buying a crazy expensive winger and then screw up the development of a potentially Hazard level talent.
