    Sounds very good . KSA is being marching towards great Initiative’s in the implementation of 2030 vision that too in mining sector as well. He has rightly been directing the mining business towards digital technology transformation , FDI, advanced mineral exploration, framing new mining laws that would immensely be leading a successful mining business goal in the near future.
    I’d fortunately met him at Maaden corporate office during the Resource and Reserve Committee-I Initiative’s on Phosphate business front in 2015 when I worked as Resource Geologist at MPC.
    Happy to hear his vision and achievements. My best wishes to him and KSA.

    I like Saudi Arabia and i think it is definitely THE regional leader in the Middle East. I hope their diversification of business sectors and employment is a smart strategy that works long term as Oil eventually (not anytime soon) declines.

    He speaks straightforward for a government official. Saudi Arabia has tons of money to spend for the time being because they were blessed with large oil reserves, I'm surprised it has taken them so long to get into the mining industry.

      You are right. We have been, as Saudis, confined to few limites we somehow enforced on ourselves.. This goes from economy to even social limits. With the crown prince in charge few years ago, he was there unleash all of these limits with Vision 2030. Saudi Arabia is truly untapped in many ways and the potential is unreal.

    With all due respect to the gentleman being interviewed, I have to ask rhetorically how can you have a 'vibrant society' without freedom? Google Saudi Arabia and human rights and you'll discover the most appalling human rights record that you can imagine. The country is like a prison. And God help you if you are a woman.

    • @alalmutairi
      @alalmutairi 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      The answer to your question is Google, there's a big bias against Saudi Arabia in the media and politics for many reasons. Therefore, you will not find a representative answer. We acknowledge having issues on all fronts just like any other country in the world and we are working on them, many changes have been made but you won't find them covered in Google unless if you look a bit deeper.

    • @DorianLS

      @@alalmutairi I am well acquainted with the case of Raif Badawi. I've read many of his posts to his blog, for which he was sentenced to 10 years in prison and a flogging. His wife and children escaped to Canada and they long to be reunited with him. I hoped that MBS's announced liberalization policies would free him from prison, but he's still there. I won't comment further except to say that I hope the promised liberalization in Saudi Arabia proceeds successfully and quickly. As I said, it is a necessity if MBS's plans are to succeed.

      I get the sense that is getting better. Keeping trade open (and even expanding it) between the Mediterranean and Indian Ocean would help.
