When I was 17 years old in July 1972, I ranaway from home to help with a flood effort in Wilkes-Barre Pennsylvania and had three rides hitchhiking from Niagara Falls to Rochester and Syracuse New York the third ride pick me up in Syracuse at 81 S. and they were headed to the Pocono mountains for a rock concert they had tickets and I didn’t and I rode with them and I got in for free because of the flood in Wilkes-Barre and I got to see Emerson Lake and Palmer and Concert I’ll never forget that weekend

For those who never got to see ELP in person I can understand why the excitement..and for those who did want to relive the moments of the past so be it..but for myself I think I would feel remorseful..they are gone. But I do give Carl Palmer for giving his best in what I'm sure is a top notch, exhibition of the new technology and I'm sure it will be like no other sort of speak.I think if it comes to Northern CA. I might go see it because I have never seen Carl's new band.Kudos all around.

Carl Palmer, what can I say that hasn't already been said about one of the best drummers on the planet. Had the good fortune to see ELP live in 77. I would love to see this show. I always thought that he would be the only person who could replace Neil Peart in Rush if that was ever in the realms of possibilities. Less I digress "you see it's all clear, you were meant to be here, ... from the beginning"✨

Saw the opener of this tour in Philly in Nov. 2022. Carl explained he researched doing the hologram thing, but didn't feel it was good enough yet so he decided to do this. I saw ELP a few times, both back in their heyday & after, & Greg/Keith tour, Lake solo. Is this "The Return"? No, but it's close as we'll ever get. It IS a great celebration of the incredible music they made, and seeing Carl play these songs live is still incredible. Pardon the pun, but to this day he doesn't miss a beat. #SoGreat. Go see it if you're a fan.

It's cool that Carl invests this much love into the project - good for him. I'd probably want to do the same if in his position. It doesn't feel contrived like how other bands will sub in the rest of their deceased bandmates. One of the worst is when the Doors literally got a Jim impersonator. Meh. Ray had a big ego and desire to stay relevant. Carl on the other hand just feels like he's sharing the love. I can dig it. But with that said, I probably won't watch it. Even watching later footage of ELP when Keith and Greg were with us was lackluster compared to the original era. There was nothing like it. It was like when Portishead played SNL and the crowd didn't even know what to think. Such was ELPs Isle of Wight debut performance, and kept up the enigmaticism and mystique all the way to just before Love Beach. But after...... I'll take a soft pass.
