I’ve been playing volleyball for four years and This is the first time I’ve heard that I’m supposed to be square to the net when passing. That’s gonna help so much Kuz I rely so much on my body for angles
I’ve been trying to help my siblings pass better, but I have no idea how to articulate what my body has already come to know. Now I can show them this vid! Thanks guys!
Have you ever done a video breakdown of a critique of one of your own matches? Examples of how your body positioning caused something other than the pass you wanted to have, or defending why you decided to position yourself where you did that forced you to barely get to a ball? On the offensive side too, why you did a cut shot or two-over. I think this would be cool. Thanks !
Great job guys! You’re really inspiring me to do coach job as well as professional player. Perfect example. So I have a dream to make my sportcamp and bring my groups in your place for having training season with you guys
I really enjoyed the video, but I wonder about the third tip as I've learned it the complete opposite way. So trying to align the whole body towards the direction I'd want to play, shoulders square for an almost straight ball. With fast balls it's difficult e.g. when the opponent serves really hard and fast, but it the ball is played slowly it feels much safer.
now its clear! If you only face the target you only have one angle, regardless of where the ball is coming from - so the ball will bounce off in many directions.
I thought we should move first the opposite leg to make a biggest first step. So move the left leg to move to the right, and move the right leg to move to the left. Is it because this video is about passing and not defending that you ask to do the opposite, because we need to cover less space and keeping the shoulders facing the net is more important?
Yeah, I was confused by that previous video as well. I guess that cross-over technique is for running after those high lines when your blocker is blocking line.
Id like to know more specifically the differences in footwork between sand vs grass and other surfaces. And id also like to know if there's any volleyball equipment that helps you practice?
I would like to improve defensive reading and also the most efficient ways to get to a ball on defense and also not passing with my arms high on defense.

“Being an object to change the direction of ball” (rather than trying so hard to square to the target) is such eye opening logics/tips! Thank you!
Glad it helps!!!
I’m a pro fivb beachvolleyball player and i think this was a really good receiving course!
We appreciate that so much!
After implementing these steps, I instantly saw an improvement in my performance and gameplay! Thank you!!!
Love the thought of “be an object that the ball bounces off of”...set your platform and let the ball bounce off it to your target! 👍🏻👏
This is actually the first video I’ve come across to help me with passing. Thank you! I will practice this for awhile 😃

That last tip was something I might’ve heard but never sunk in, great stuff
Glad it helped!

give both a shot and see what works best for you! vb is an art as much as it is a science!

We would LOVE your feedback on things you want to work on or some bad habits you'd like in beach volleyball! Let us know in the comments!
How about breaking down the technique (hand position and angle to ball) and drills to hit top spin shots and the cut angle shots? thx
How about the different overhand passing techniques (axe handles, burrito, taco enchilada) and when and how to use them?
I know it might not be too different but is there any secret tips for left handed hitters that can use that as a benefit than right hitters can
Kind of a newbie.....would like to learn how to better track the ball and drills I can practice at home practice with or without a partner

I would like to improve defensive reading and also the most efficient ways to get to a ball on defense and also not passing with my arms high on defense.
Also, how I could potentially practice 'learning to track' at home and maybe solo
Why stay square to the net? Why not squaring your body to the setter?
Because then it is harder to set for them and it will be harder for you to hit it!
In another video you said the first step should be a cross step!
Chase Defense = cross over. Serve Receive = step shuffle :)
عالی

Are you left handed?
