the only thing that really gets me is like damn, they really put brez as first but sadly, I'm pretty sure his gbb streak is gonna continue. either out the first or second round 😭 I love brez but even his lyrics of "at gbb, who can rap like me" as if lots of the people who placed weren't just as good, if not better, at rapping 😭 and his style is great, but for a battle scene, we've all seen how he's lost against people who have more technical aspects to their looping. this year I guess could be different but idk if I could pull myself to believe that. either way, the looping and solo and producer categories will all be stacked so I'm happy.
Brez is easily the most overrated looper in the scene right now. But he's not a bad looper by any means. It's just that His audience hype themselves over him so much, they're really just setting themselves up to be let down. Just let the man be.

@AJ Escobar fully agreed there. feel like his 2018 performance was so different for it's time, cause at THAT time, yes he was right there wasn't rapping like his, and his tracks were enjoyable because he had one of the better mixes for hiphop at that time too. now, it's a bit different. I will always love brez, just want to see how he'll stack up against other loopers again in battle. it'll be fun to watch
he didn't even really rap that much for his wildcard now and he still placed one (although contested by many) so I think he's practiced his technical abilities a little bit
