This video is at par with the documentaries one views at National Geographic, Discovery, BBC Earth. Especially this episode sets the bar/standard for other vloggers on quality content, concept, videography and editing skills. I'm really in awe of the scenes and the beauty of the place, made more scenic by your videography. My favourite parts are: 08:49 prayer wheels slow motion 11:48 summit elevations 12:47 background and white yak 24:18 red-headed yaks 28:02 looks like a scene from a David Attenborough documentary 28:09 water bottle turned to ice Just wanted to know who is the third person of team yak cheese? Also loved the Cotton-Eyed-Joe as Kathmandu. As a kid I always thought the word was Kathmandu also 😅 I'm sure this video will garner a lot of acclaim in the days to come.
Really appreciate your kind and encouraging words. Glad to know that you enjoyed this special episode. 😊 The third member in the Yak Cheese team is Kamil Karamali, a tv reporter and anchor from Canada; a very genuine soul. Safe to say our trip was made more memorable because of him. 😄
My goosebumps came out while watching, this is too too good,a lifetime achievement, hats off to both of you, memories will remain forever, superb video, keep it up
I been on EBC trek twice and yet the final frontier of EBC remains unconquered, courtesy weather spoilsport, both times! Now I see ur video and 2 things happen: One, relive the amazing EBC experience, and two, rumination giving way to motivation to try it once again! Amazing captures as always!
What a beautiful vlog!! Beautiful shots! Amazing editing! And serene music! Also liked the fact that almost every clip is slowed down. ❤So proud of you guys for making this a successful trip!🎉
Knew you went to Everest basecamp, and eagerly waiting for this,WOW, what a trip for you, a treat for us enjoying the views, the bridges, the yaks, especially the white ones, the dogs, the ice inside the water bottle!!! Whew!!! Thank you for this wonderful video. Wishing I have your energy and stamina both of us. May GOD BLESS YOU ABUNDANTLY💐💐
Can I ask did you do the trek with a guide.... Also what's the best months to do the trek... I'm planning to come to Nepal for treks and some relaxation time.. But mainly to trek and spend as much time as possible in the beautiful scenery...also any tips on getting a good guide etc etc
Yes, we trekked with a guide. We went with a travel company called Green Valley Nepal Treks (their website link is in the Everest video description). They are based out of Kathmandu and they made all the necessary arrangements for us such as guides, porters, trek route, accommodations, etc. Regarding the best months to trek, we trekked in the first week of March. If you wish to avoid the peak tourist season crowd, then last week of February to Early March is the recommended timeframe as long as you're okay with the cold (Lowest temperature for us was about -20 degree celsius at Gorakshep). If you don't mind the crowd then late March to May should be a comfortable time to trek EBC. September to November is another timeframe recommended by travel agencies (just after the end of monsoon and before the onset of peak winter). Hope that helps. 😊
@@tripfortwo fantastic thank you for all your help very much appreciated I've just found out that the laws have changed and now you have to travel with a guide I was contemplating a solo hike even though I'm terrible with maps.... Thanks for the travel company info... I really want to use a guide that's from the local community.... For me I think it'll have to be September.... Best regards and thanks again.... Very much appreciated....
Your best bet after Lukla will be Namche Bazaar. We estimated our expenditure and withdrew the amount at an ATM from Kathmandu itself. The commission for exchange/ATM withdrawal is higher in Lukla, Namche, etc. as compared to Kathmandu. hope that helps. 😊
The agency we went with was Green Valley Nepal Treks. Their website link is in our description. They’re also on Instagram with the same handle @greenvalleynepaltreks. They will arrange the guide and porters according to your needs. Hope that helps. 😊
This was one of the most beautiful videos of EBC that I’ve seen! Stunning! I am planning to go for the trip! Can you tell me which month you went? The weather looks superb!
