Hi, can you help me pick between 70mai A510 and Viofo A119 Mini 2? I don't necessarily need rare view camera and just want a solid long lasting one.
Both are best in their segments. A510 does have an added advantage of getting rear camera at a lesser price point.
The mini 2 on the other hand has a very compact size and solid app support with extensive settings options to play around with.
You won't go wrong with either of these dashcams, but the added advantage of rear camera makes A510 more value for money.

Both A510 and Mini record at the same 1944p resolution. Both use the Starvis2 sensor. They are practically the same in this aspect. The mini 2 does offer 2K(1440p) recording @60fps and the A510 provides 1080p@60fps. Mini 2 has the upper hand in this.

Yes. You don't have to connect your smartphone. The dashcam records continuously and automatically if you have inserted a memory card and properly connected the power cable.

In settings, flip the reverse camera view.

Not in app settings. The on display settings of the dashcam.

No native 4K. It does support parking mode with additional hardwiring kit.

App performance is normal. No glitches based on my usage. Third party app called Vidure. Nothing notable to be mentioned about. I have shown in brief the in app settings.

Round type design dash cam is not effective for good visibility, rectangular type design dash cam one of the best. Anyone if purchased round type dash cam it will be the foolish purchase.

@@car3ik At time of driving rectangular dash cam more efficient for viewing. Footage of rectangular and round type dash cams are equal. 98% dash cam in the market is rectangular because visibility is better. At the same time you see the front and rear view of the subject.
