Well it's nice to see that even the big companies are frequently incompetent also. Apparently the "good attitude" doesn't really help with getting parts correct in a demo. Unless the good attitude helps you ignore the instructions and you order a different part than mentioned.
My door sensor doesn't look like that. Mine is round and installed inside the door. There's a cap over the computer chip inside of the door. The magnet is round and installed inside the door frame with a cap cover.
You forgot to mention the hardest part which is to open the sensor so you can switch out the battery.
Simple mistake, but the door/window sensor batteries are CR2032, not CR2023.

Getting door sensor open was the hardest part
Mine won’t come off. It’s at the top of the door and I think you need pliers or some kind of tool to get it off.
