RD1, #9 - Rome Odunze (WR, Washington)
RD3, #75 - Kiran Amegadjie (OT, Yale)

Kiran Amegadjie Draft Profile:
- The 'Good' from Chat Sports' Tom Downey (@whatgoingdowney on Twitter):
Handles power well, obscene length, performs well against lesser competition.
- via The Athletic's Dane Brugler:
Amegadjie is a raw prospect who needs technical and strength work before he sees live NFL reps, but his physical ingredients and competitive drive are the foundational elements that pro coaches want to develop.
GRADE: 3rd Round (No. 87 overall)
- via PFF:
Projecting a player to go from the FCS level to the NFL level as a starter is tricky but Amegadjie has the tools and the tape to be a worthwhile investment in the top 50 as a starting-caliber tackle or guard.
- Downey's 'Bad':
Limited experience against top competition; Needs to enhance footwork; Can struggle with hand placement.

Terrible. Get a edge rusher then get a OT

Smartest tackle in the draft for sure.
Bears will complete their super team next draft 👏 I hear its a great Edge and DT draft! I'm so hype
Lol
Even better he is a Bears fan! It was meant to be. 🐻 down!
And an O-line critic! He was meant to be
Everyone mad on not taking a defensive player in a draft that's offense heavy. Take the solid Oline prospect. Incredible... people getting mad that Poles is reinforcing the offensive line with a guy that doesn't need to start his rookie year and has potential to be a monster in this league. All for a 3rd rounder?
We have a defense that was playing very well towards the end of the year, and a number of free agents available to bolster heading into camp.
Chicago seems to forget that when you have an offense that is designed to stack points, you don't have to have a defense constantly playing prevent or NEEDS to get the ball back to the offense.
Poles is building an offensive line because his ass is on the line if he doesn't protect our little RED riding hood QB.
Right we was top 5 in defense
also ppl don’t realize how solid our defense was last year despite always being on the field because of weak offense.
Yeah, I'm gonna be disappointed when Adisa Isaac & Jonah Ellis are right there. I woulda loved Edge @ 75 and go Swing tackle/IOL at 122
Great take
Amegadjie = Omega G
😂😂😂😂
It's "A mega G"

Sorry to say, Harrison, but letting the opportunity to trade down from #9 with the Rams at #19 to still draft an elite EDGE (i.e. Chop Robinson) and get a 2nd round pick to draft a WR3 like Adonai Mitchell or Malachi Corley and probably another pick in the 5th or 6th round would have been better for the Bears.....AS A TEAM. The defense can't be ignored and they are ignoring improving the defense. If the Bears traded down, the Rams would have taken Turner, Verse or Murphy, which would have left Chop Robinson for the Bears at #19.
@@YT-Holdings Dont forget we got Jack Sanborn under the radar. POles and co. will have other possible free agent signings and free agents to look at.
@@michaelknowsstocks5170 COMPLETELY AGREE!!! That is why the Bears needed more picks. The LB from Mississippi State (Nathaniel Watson) would be a clear upgrade over Sanborn and drafting Watson who led his conference in sacks last season with one of the top 4 EDGE rushers in the first round would have put the Bears in a position to have a top 5 defense. The Bears chose to ignore the defense. I think it is a mistake. Kansas City needed their top 3 defense this season. Their offense didn't overpower anybody.
@@michaelknowsstocks5170 Another point is Velus Jones has not been utilized properly. They can't expect him to come in for one or two big plays while sitting cold on the bench. A player needs the snaps and the targets to gain confidence and be in the flow of the game. Velus Jones could have possibly been an adequate WR3 with D.J. Moore and Keenan Allen which also drafting another WR after the first round to see if that rookie would be an upgrade. Anyhow, it is just food for thought for another lifetime.....at this point. :-)
@YT-Holdings brotha... we have a top 10 defense already it was time to finally get a elite offense after our other GMs failed our QBs every 3 years. Next year we have 3 picks in the 1st 2 rounds with a great group of edge and dts coming out! We'll be contenders after next season, relax lmao we did the right thing for once!
One thing not mentioned is the fact that he is a local product. He lived in Hinsdale IL and played for Hinsdale Central HS. As for his pick it is a solid B with a good upside and future.
Good Borom wasn't getting it done, nice swing tackle. Yes swing tackle is a spot of need in the NFL .
B+ …. Great upside with some coaching up

We stole this guy !!! He will be a Bears for 15 years!! Best draft ever !
Start him tomorrow .. he will be in pro bowl !!
Da Bears 🐻 here we come !!!
I don't think they play tomorrow 🤔
@@eljj8606That's FUNNY!
But I do appreciate our brother's enthusiasm. 🙂
Your drunk
@@eljj8606I just checked and you are in fact correct, we do not play tomorrow. Although it’s technically possible since the schedule hasn’t been announced yet. It’s highly unlikely, but you never know. I’ll check when I wake up just to be safe.
Yikes
Okay after watching film and the live video of him watching the Bears pick him I am on board with this pick. Grade B this guy will be on the team for a long time and will help lock down the Oline. Poles knows what he is doing and I look at this as a smart move. We don't have any heavy hitters on the Oline but we have very solid depth now and can look for major upgrade next offseason and draft.
He didn’t go 2nd round because of the injury he suffered at the end of the season I feel. Good for us Bear Down
Talent at the tackle position drops off so much after the first round, anything after that is just for depth.

Solid B. Lindy's had him graded out at a 7.2 which is ABOVE AVERAGE STARTER. And the last kid we got from Yale did quite well for his career.

B- I like him but I’d rather have picked edge there was a few good ones available still
Nah, poles knows what hes doing. If Caleb Williams lives up to the hype, but the o line is terrible for a couple years, Caleb might think twice before seeking a trade because he would clearly know Poles was doing everything he can to put Williams in the best position to succeed.
Your suggestion is where the Bears have made the same mistake year after year. besides, the defense was already one of the better defenses in the league, not to mention we added Kevin Byard ( pro bowler) and some others on defense.
This feels more like a Bears pick. Good measurables but no one else was drafting this guy. Happy to be proven wrong
Yeah, it's a third round pick though, can't be too picky
We need depth on the line so not mad at the pick!! Poles is a smart offensive lineman also so i trust his judgement!
Inb4 they realize he went to yale and not byu

Very very solid
Poles adding depth
He has great footwork for his size, some analysts had him popping into a Guard role. He will conpete for LT, and the "loser" of that will be a swing tackle, Borom might want to battle Carter for depth Guard role. But if Kiran became RG, every position but Center would have tackle sized behemoths. Jones, Jenkins, Kiran, Wright. Talk about Bulldozers
The bears also signed a Tackle from UBC Theo Benedet as a UDFA. He can make the move to guard.
D, had to be stronger defensive edge, or center……..75 seems to soon to take developmental player.
Let’s gooooo
A+ I’m old and have watched the bears avoid building Oline depth my entire life, amazing pick, btw you guys are way wrong about Coleman Shelton starting over Ryan Bates
If he becomes a reliable back up call it a win. He is not beating out Brax for the LT spot.
Bear down. Who is here after he just got drafted by the Bears 🐻? LFG Bears!
Amegadjie is an interesting choice. He has a lot of physical attributes you look for in an offensive tackle. He has a great size. His arm length is great. But he is very raw. He has a lot of flaws and a lot of mechanical issues with his blocking. He will need a lot of work to become a contributing member of the Bears' offensive line. If he works out, then you can have a very good contributing offensive tackle. If not, he can very easily be a bust. It is worth rolling the dice on a player like this in round three. You would not want to gamble on a player like this in round one. We will have to wait and see if he develops over the next couple of seasons.
Maybe -2- rounds too soon. ...
he is a nice depth piece maybe...we just gotta hope caleb isnt a scrub! im gonna be done w 40yrs of bears hope! ive loved the bears for so long! since i could grasp the game i was a weird kid but i loved the bears in 1984 at age 5.... getting real fed up with bears qb situation
Sounds like great value and a great project but would we have taken if Falcons hadn't taken trice
Hopefully they can go for an edge with the last pick. I like Gabriel Murphy, UCLA.
Excellent pick king Poles strikes again A-

GRADE: 3rd Round (No. 87 overall)
People we got to protect the QB, the Bears draft a lineman. Bears fans: what are you doing? 🤔
Justin Fields was fully responsible for over 40% of times sacked.
A+ watch the tape!
like it but a couple good egde rushers were there. isaac specifically
I will be interested to see what Poles does to fill in the rest of the roster. Where does he get DE2 with our cap situation.
I can see someone coming in after cuts or that's not happy with their current contract. Last but not least maybe even trade deadline
@@DrFricknLazrBeam8827 highly unlikely coming down at pick 120, maybe TE3 or another developmental lineman of some type. I agree it will have to come the FA route on DE2/situational pass rusher
C+ Ivy league development. Yes i have seen thr stats, but its Ivy league. Best thing for him is to not be thrust in due to injuries. Which by the past 4 years will be a tough ask.
Thanks for the contract info HG! I say move TJ to RG and the rook to LG unless Braxton falls off
A+ for sure in the 3rd
I agree. I just couldn't see anyone better on the board...
Only thing is he didn't play big time comp
B. Like the upside. Too raw to more than likely make an immediate impact.
I think we need to put him at LG and move tevon Jenkins back to RG our oline would kinda be elite give him a shot year one
Accepting
I think his floor is Braxton Jones. Great pick. A
Awesome!
For the round and value A
B, with a high ceiling
Developmental swing tackle at 75 overall: F
I like Kiran but am significantly higher on Adisa Isaac. He was a clear top 50 player for me & my Edge 6...
Plus, he's 22 years old. Most lineman coming out of college seems to average the age of 24 or older
Your statement is completely false. Most kids start college at 18 and most of them play 5 years max. 18+5 is 23 lol. 1 of the top 100 rated offensive lineman is 24 (and he just turned 24), all the rest are 21, 22 and a few are 23. Not a single top 315 PFF offensive lineman is 25, the oldest is 24.5.
@Itsmewaltz I guess my opinion doesn't equate to your narrative. It's only an opinion, and opinions vary. Relax. You must be fun at parties.
Atlanta took the DT da Bears wanted one pick b4 them.
This draft will be perfect if we get austin booker if I were gm probably would have traded up for him at the end of round 3 and called it a day
Bagent warming up as we speak.
Braxton Jones only allowed 1 sack last year did we really need a left tackle? How many Ivy League players currently playing in the NFL? If Poles wanted to go line he should have went Christian Mahogany who was still available and one of the top interior guards in the draft. Bears still have needs; edge rusher, def tackle, free safety, and could use another young receiver. We definitely are not getting the first two in the 4th round. So we are still at least a year away, probably two.
Kiran Amegadjie, coming from a smaller school, has proven himself with excellent fundamentals and impressive tape. His strengths include handling various blocking schemes and showing resilience against top competition, marking him as a top 50 prospect.
He went to Yale so we know he's smart!!
Neat. Hometown fan now player
Poles is HAVING to do now what he didn't do for the last QBs. Poles knows hes GOT NO CHOICE, but to protect is dainty CW.😂. The pressure is ON
A !!!
Yale other side of country from BYU. All good
A - I heard he was supposed to be a 2nd rd pick
A 3rd round pick doesn't have to be starter material, but should at the very least be bench material. As long as he makes the roster and serves adequately in a back up/relief role, then it will have been a good pick. Anything less = bust and a mark against Poles.
C+ depth player, raw, not a plug, and play guy.
He's only allowed one sack in his college career... his rookie year..
I like the pick, and will give it a solid B.
C…..just cause he is from Hinsdale, Illinois doesn’t mean he deserves a better grade. We needed a C/G more than a T.
he can also play guard. so its definitely in the B range
@@kolbers19 Poles has brought in other players who have played other positions, which didn’t pay off. Let’s hope this rookie does. Beside that, Poles has done really good this draft
Move darnell to RG let the short arm guards dominate the interior let the lengthy faster guys like kiran and Braxton hold down the tackle positions. Let nate davis coleman shelton and ryan bates compete for starting center. Ask caleb to get rid of the ball fast to 1 of his 5 stud targets.
Awesomeness
I would’ve went Adisa Issac
I never saw him play so I can't give a one word reaction
guard forsure
I think Kamara is a sleeper
The DE from Colorado state ?
He will be available in the 4th tmr fs
@@SPICE1988 I think that is who @thechir2848 is talking about. The Bears are going to end up taking Mo Kamara or Cedric Johnson or Austin Booker or Xavier Thomas or Gabriel Murphy with the hope that the player will end up being a worthwhile rotational player unless they surprise. It is possible the Bears are planning on signing EDGE Shaka Toney who was reinstated by the NFL and cut by the Commanders instead of drafting an EDGE. They may bring in a number of UDFA's with the hope one of them is a sleeper.
I hope we get him tomorrow
@@SPICE1988 Yes the DE from Colorado state, I think he has a lot of upside.
B/B+
C, a B if he becomes a guard, but we needed dl help more and there were good options there
If it was OT vs Edge, I might have gone with the Edge and taken Ellis
B but take edge in the 4th
he allowed one sack in two seasons.
I'm not wild about the pick. I find it hard to believe they didn't have an EDGE or 3T rated in that same area. Both much bigger needs there.
His hands are borderline awful and he has a bad tendency to take inefficient angles getting out to his block.
Both can be coached, but I don't want to see him on the field at all this year unless it's the 3rd quarter in a preseason game.
I could’ve swore it was pronounced O-Mah-Ga-G but 🤷🏾♂️
Needed protection for real Bear Down
So far an A in every round
Never heard of him
He’s a project, top Center and DT are still on the board. Why won’t they draft a fucking Center! At 7-10 they don’t have the luxury of projects
Coleman Shelton protected Matt Stafford for two years he’s fine.
And honestly I don’t think Van Pran is a great fit for the Bears and he would have been a major reach at 85.
Maybe he moves to guard like Jenkins and replaces Nate Davis.
Borum might be a better guard, don’t just dump him
BYU?
Grade: C
Poles seems to find nuggets on the ol
The bears got a tackle from the Seahawks but he's not on your depth chart
D... we needed edge rusher or center or guard
He would’ve went earlier if not for an injury
C+ B
